  1. Keep in mind that the paid instructions often require you to purchase additional pieces to complete the model. If you are having trouble finding space in your budget for instructions, you will certainly be in a bind when it comes time to buying additional parts. If your collection is already big enough to build models without buying additional parts, you can spend some of your budget on instructions. If you are missing parts and have no room in your budget for them, I suggest trying to reverse engineer the MOC and building it with whatever parts you have available. It's more of a challenge, but it's very satisfying. Your final option is to forget about paid instructions and use free ones. Rebrickable has a lot of them, from many gifted builders. They will keep you busy for a very long time.
  2. Nice work on the Beetle, it looks like a very good model. How is it compared to the Mini? Keep the updates coming, they are fun to read.
  3. You really captured the spirit of the contest with this creation. Dream Porsche indeed! I like the looks and all the functions it has.
  4. Welcome back, it's very nice to see that you're still building. How's the shed in the summer? Not too warm, I hope?
  5. Once they introduced the concept of more than two speeds I was hoping to see that the voltage would be adjustable in increments of .1 or .5 volts. I may be wrong on this, but it seems like the voltage output can be set to any level, so why not give the user the ability to set a specific voltage on top of selecting presets.
  6. Very good work, I really like the results. The pen holder and the paper clamps are well done, too. How long does it take to draw an average full pattern?
  7. This is really well done, congratulations.
  8. I think I may have goofed on the subforum, although in hindsight it seems to fit very well. Mods are very welcome to move it to the appropriate subforum. Edit: this will teach me not to post outside of the Technic forum.
  9. http://mashable.com/...-jupiter-legos/ Some highlights: - On board Juno aircraft - Made out of aluminum - Crafted in the likeness of Galileo Galilei
  10. Nice to see something different for this contest.
  11. Imuravi, would you consider porting (or starting from scratch) this project for the BuWizz?
  12. Clever hinge system for the hood, I like the color scheme too, but the shape reminds me of a tricked out Pontiac Fiero.
  13. That's a sweet display case and sweet collection of trucks. Enjoy your new space!
  14. This looks like a real blast to drive. It's a nice and simple design, I like it.
  15. Congratulations on the FP and new tag, it's well deserved.
  16. Roni, have you tested Lego PF LED lights at the highest power output? Or do you have a separate voltage setting planned for lights?
  17. Didumos, I have been following the mods on YouTube. The rubber band 90 degree limiter as well as the blocker preventing 4th-to-1st switching make so much sense that I'm surprised they weren't part of the official design. I built the modified version of the gearbox and it even works with the 3L ribbed sliders that are used on the 2nd generation of clutch rings - although I can see the advantage of using the new smooth sliders. If you have some time you can consolidate all your modification videos into one, or maybe make a playlist because the changes you apply make the operation of the gearbox really easy to understand. Really good work, keep it up.
  18. It's nice to see a build in this scale. It looks pretty good and I like the attachments that go with it. If you want better off road performance, try removing the differentials.
  19. Very cute model, good work!
  20. I think it makes sense to wait for one contest to end before starting another. It's only 5 weeks, so it's not that far away.
  21. Roni, thank you for answering the questions. I think you have adressed a lot of the questions we have, and I was very satisfied with the quality and level of detail as well as the prompt response time. Your KS description claims 2x more power in the Fast mode. Is this compared to a Lego battery box? How can you make this claim without knowing the final battery specs? Or do you know the maximum voltage and amperage output already? I'm not questioning the product (I supported the project this morning), I'm just curious if you are not overstating its capabilities.
  22. The side picture looks great, too. You can't mistake it for any other car. Good luck in the contest!
