Nice! -Interresting lampshade+bulp design. I´ll be sure to copy that! ;-) I´ve never been very keen on the "Palace-theatre" style lettering, but it works out nicely here... All-in-all very nice look and style for such a compact MOC.

Review Review: 21103 Back To The Future Time Machine
Hoexbroe replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I hate this set, but this review is absolutly excellent! VERY complete. I had no idea that the CUSSOO set was so ugly. From all the fuss I would have thought it was much better. Thank you for including the CUSSOO version in this review. I think that the TLC version is only slightly worse. -But that doesnt say much anyway...- 207 replies

I actually LIKE flesh-tone figs. The yellow ones are so... "eighties"...

Hi all, This actually started out as a part of the upcoming MegaMOC-2013 project (Wild West), but during the process I kind of lost track of it all, and ended up with this european-style 1900 horse drawn fire fighting vehicle. Because I liked how it looked, I decided to finish it anyway... -Later I will take it apart, and do a proper one for the 1866 Frontier Land... Ciao!

You need more road base-plates! Nah, seriously; That is a very nice collection of very impressive MOCs!!! The Amsterdam section with the Tjalk is my favorite, but also the central station and Joe´s garage are particulary nice creations.

All those options will do! Basically it is about blocking out any non-diorama elements form the view. -And especially photo-shoots. For travelling to expos, the wooden panels are an advantage, as it can be dificult to maintain an orderly appearance with a hanging cloth, when hundreds (or even thousands) of people pass by...

Excellent stuff. Quite captures the style of teh time-era. Is there a photo of the folding door of the "Lubritorium" in folded position¿?

Many excellent details. I especially like the ship-in-a-bottle!

Very nice. I think you jhave a great sence for layout-design and photography. You should try to use a backdrop (background) to shield out any non-layout parts in the photos. -Like the "blue sky" I have used on my own layouts. You´ll be surprised how much the scenes imporve...

Wow! Many things to like here! The somewhat larger width definatly adds to the amount of details (Mine was 16-wide), and you have some very nice things. To mention a few of the things that I particulalry like; The upside down-ornamentation on the upper floor. The pillars at the foot of the stairs. The white "flower" at the top of the roof. Car looks nice too, but seems to be only 6-wide¿? I wonder how it would look if you added the folded-down roof behind the seats. Finally -but not least; thanks for the mention. However, I dont think I can take any credit for thinking of building a row of Painted Ladies-like houses. -But I am indeed happy to have inspired!

Excellent cars! I especially like the beetle. It is definatly recognizable, and uses some good ideas. (I especially like the piece you used for the back; hood for the motor) Still It has many gaps. -But you certainly have inspired me. I will se if I can work something out based on yours... The colours used on the hippie-van is spectacular! Thanks for the mention on the 2CV!!!

Excellent use of pieces!

Oh! -First of all, thanks for the mention. It´s quite an honour to see my name mentiones with the big ones among minifig-scale car builders. (They are also MY inspirations) Lovely collection of cars! I think I like the red one the most. There are two things that I( generally dont like about your cars; 1; The differente in height between front and aft on the black and blue ones. (For the orange it´s okay ;-) 2; The narrow wheel-arcs on the black, green and orange ones. (I think it works better with cheese-slopes) Will we see more cars for this collection¿?
