I was visiting Europe with my best friend last November and arrived in Paris at Gare du Nord, unfortunately I didn't get to take a good look at this great station. Nevertheless, it so happens that I am building it for a LEGO exhibition in Cityplaza, Hong Kong half a year later and I get to visit it again, mostly in pictures taken by others The station is part of the Channel Tunnel display, which comprises the "7 wonders of the modern world" built by Legend Bricks members. The exhibition runs alongside with "Piece of Peace" Hong Kong stop at the same venue. What's built here is the middle section of the facade of the station. The building sits on 3 48x48 baseplates, and has 5 platforms, each of which is 4x32 studs long. The project was under tight schedule and I had to burn some mid-night oil. Construction started on 2 June 2013 and completed on 3 July 2013. I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures and the lack of close up shots. I ironically do not have enough time to really appreciate my work and to take some good photos before they put up the glass barrier, I will do it when the event is over... Below are some pictures of the 99% finished station, which are clearer but taken offsite: Last but not least, below is a picture of my sig fig together with buzz and Little Green Men at the entrance of the station. This trio was present at the Arc de Triomphe model that I built for an exhibition at this very same venue in 2011, and went to the real Arc and Paris Nord with me last year. I hope you enjoy the pictures, if you happen to be in town in July, make sure you stop by to visit the two exhibitions (Free admission, just feel free to contact me if you need any instructions)~
