  1. Predicting the accessories for each figure: Homer - not sure, maybe a donut or a bowling ball Marge - not sure, something domestic most likely (maybe they will do something out of the ordinary and include Maggie as an accessory with Marge) Bart - Skateboard, maybe that slingshot tile from Lone Ranger Lisa - Saxophone, maybe music print tile Apu - not sure, maybe quik-e-mart food Chief Wiggum - handcuffs/police gear (no gun though I suspect) Moe - I would say beer but LEGO wouldn't go down that road Itchy - Some kind of cartoonish over-the-top weapon I guess Scratchy - Also some kind of weapon This of course assumes the figs come with accessories.
  2. Great Dalek, you really captured the look of it.
  3. The set that brought me out of my dark ages was the 8448 Super Street Sensation. And I still consider it my favorite out of all the Technic sets I own :)
  4. MYER Perth CBD has about 1/2 dozen Opera Houses. No Tower Bridges left. Didn't notice if they had any Horizon Expresses or Mini Modulars. 2 of the new Mindstorms sets spotted. Plenty of general stock (City, Creator, Chima, Star Wars, Galaxy Squad, Architecture etc)
  5. My set arrived from Toys R Us USA earlier, just finished putting it together and it is AWESOME. Only way they could top this is if they green light one of the Ghostbusters projects and make that into a set or if they make a set of the steam train time machine from BTTF3. My set does have the incorrectly-printed panel piece (sheild instead of shield), anyone know what I need to do on the customer service website to get them to send me the correctly-printed one?
  6. Very nice, the musical instruments don't look so good IMO (maybe some of the instruments from the CMF series like the Saxophone, Guitar and Bagpipes might look better)
  7. Whats the best price on the Architecture Imperial Hotel right now? MYER with 20% off?
  8. I am convinced now that the SOH is on my top 5 best sets of all time. My BTTF set is still on its way from Toys R Us USA so I cant comment on exactly where in the top 5 it sits but its definatly top 5 for me :) Only way they could top the SOH is if they either did a model of something from my home town (Perth, Western Australia) or if they did a tower-bridge type model of the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
  9. Quite a few opera houses at MYER Perth CBD along with the new Mindstorms. No tower bridges but there are a couple Horizon Expresses left and a couple Mini Modulars left. Only thing of interest at David Jones was a single opera house (which, like the ones at MYER, was wrapped in the security cable alarm). Nothing notable at Target.
  10. I dont mind one bit if the next series is based on The Lego Movie as long as it has useful torsos, useful non-flesh heads and useful accessories.
  11. Not only is this the most functions I have EVER seen in a Technic car model but its a Lamborghini at that (and a yellow one at that) Only thing its missing is a Lamborghini logo sticker on the front of the car :)
  12. The 1 x 2 x 5 brick in trans black is not exclusive to this set It also appeared in a train station, a train level crossing and several police stations. Check Bricklink under "Trans-Black Brick 1 x 2 x 5 without Side Supports"
  13. Regarding size and LEGO airplanes, I think the 3181 Passenger Plane is good, its only 6-wide (with a smaller wingspan than these large 8-wide planes) and the parts it has are more generically useful for things other than airplanes (they are nice for helicopters for example :) Now all I need is for TLG to make the tail piece from that set in red and I will be able to make a nice airplane out of it in the colors of the national airline of Australia, QANTAS.
  14. I did build my Opera House and its an amazing set and worth it (at the price I paid anyway) as a set alone, let alone as a parts pack. I just hope the Opera House (both the big one and the smaller Architecture one) sell well enough that we see more LEGO sets that have Australian themes or replicated things that are Australian.
  15. Personally, I wouldn't have ranked the Orc Forge as a good parts pack. And I am glad I bought the Opera House, its got a lot of nice parts in it (e.g. all that nice trans-black that will be perfect for various projects I am working on, still wish I could get another 100 or so 1x2 plates in that color though)
  16. Nice hardware store. One of these days I will finally get around to building that Masters Hardware I keep saying I will build (although the hard part is making it interesting enough rather than just a box)
  17. Helms deep is definatly the better parts pack.
  18. Lets hope for Aladdin in the future, that might be interesting (they already have a genie lamp for it :)
  19. Just finished assembling bag #2 and started bag #3. Best set I have built in a long time (better even than the Haunted House and Grand Emporium) Well worth the price I paid for it :)
  20. For those in WA wanting a TRU Opera House, get in NOW or you will miss out. The TRU in Cannington had 2 left (until I bought one) and the store person said they had sold quite a few already. The person on the phone told me Morley didn't have any in stock. Also I didn't see any in stock yesterday at Innaloo either. So if you want it, ring up before you go to make sure they have stock. But hurry or you will miss out :)
  21. If you read the instructions for this set http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=10194-1 you should be able to see how they did the rods in that set and use that as a guide for how you could do them on the Lone Ranger train.
  22. FYI, if anyone wants the Opera House, the 25% off at TRU DOES apply to the set making the price $300 (which is below US RRP and probably the best price you will be able to get it for period) Just make sure you get in quick as stock appears to be limited and will probably disappear fast.
  23. hmmm, didn't think of the Opera House having so many of the not-so-good parts like the white curved slope things.
  24. No interest in the Sydney Opera House? (which from where I sit looks like an awesome parts pack)
