Nice job, the BSB is my favorite pirate ship (I got one as a kid for learning to ride my bike and then bought the re-issue as an adult for my adult collection) and you have really made it better. I especially like your use of parts newer than the BSB but in keeping with it like the world globe and sextant. Only thing that looks out-of-place is the old firefighter torso for the guy at the steering wheel, it just doesn't look right IMO.

The 60026 Town Square was most definatly a summer release. Brickpedia says "June" and some other sites I found via Google list it under "Summer 2013 City Set Releases" or so.

Actually if you look at this image http://www.abc.net.au/news/image/387772-3x2-940x627.jpg you can see that there do exist police prisoner transport vans (in my city at least) that have cage-type doors rather than solid doors.

I suspect 60049 is probably another retailer exclusive.

As of now, the only known castle-type set for 2014 is the 2013-castle-crown-faction themed LEGO Movie set 70806 Castle Cavalry.

A lot depends on how the deals are structured, i.e. does LEGO have the right to make movie x-men products or whether they would need to negotiate separately with Fox to get that right.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!

K-Mart Joondalup has the Monster Fighters Castle and Train. Didn't see any Haunted Houses though. Target at both Joondalup and Perth CBD has Arkham in stock. CBD also has the R2. MYER Perth CBD has Tower Bridge, Sopwith, Horizon Express and Opera House. David Jones Perth CBD has Opera Houses and plenty of modulars (town hall, grand emporium, pet shop, palace cinema all spotted). If you can get there before 9pm tonight you can score 15% off as they have a 1-day-only sale on toys at Perth CBD only. -
Nice MOC. Pitty some of those parts dont exist in those colors (like the dark blue wheel arches)

Don't know if its been suggested but I would love to see an Octan oil rig as a set. Something about the size and price point of the 4210 Coast Guard Platform only as an oil rig. To date LEGO have made 3 oil rigs. One was a pre-minifig Shell oil rig back in the 70s, one was a special one-off promotional set for an oil company and one was a Cars 2 set. A good modern oil rig would be cool.

I think the perfect choice for this line would be Jasmine from Aladdin. Perfect princess (and referred to as such in the film) and they already have a magic lamp piece :)

Lucky you, polybags are almost never found here in Australia :(

The thing to remember is that LEGO does NOT have a license with Sony for the Spider-Man films. They have a license with Disney/Marvel to produce Spider-Man product based on the Spider-Man comic books and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon but the license they have doesn't cover Spider Man film product (which would require a separate license with Sony)

Those wheels really do look cool and would be perfect for Asgard or any number of other sci-fi or fantasy settings featuring such architecture. Heck, they might even work for certain kinds of steampunk work.

I wish they had made the bomb things in the Jr Batman set all one color (instead of a red top and dark red bottom). They are already making the red bottoms for the LEGO Movie sets so they could have used them instead of the dark red ones...

Remember that these sets are aimed at a younger audience so the use of larger parts like the 1-piece car body and large wall sections makes sense. It looks like the entrance piece has holders for doors (also visible on the same part in the police set), can anyone identify what doors might fit into those holders?

Anyone know which orange color is being used in the sports car? Is it the same normal orange as, say, the new 2014 City Lighting Repair truck? Or is it one of the darker orange colors? (its hard to tell)
-
Airport Fire Truck looks ok for what it is. I like that the large flame piece now exists in trans-light-blue. Looks like the front roof hinges up also (rather than just being removable like some other fire trucks)

Oh wow, is that the ribbed round brick in black in the police helicopter? If so, great, I have some uses for it :)

So the rumors (and prelims) that showed the masonry brick comming in red were false? Or am I thinking of some set in another theme that had them in red?

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?
jonwil replied to Turaga of Force's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I see nothing different (topside or underside) between that purple 2 x 6 slope and the white versions of the part I have in my collection. Oh and I am so jealous of people who have super-rare parts (like those people lucky enough to own the minifig airtanks in green for example) Or even people with large quantities of otherwise-available-in-set parts (like 1 x 1 plates in lime green) Maybe some of my wished-for-but-not-available parts exist somewhere in the bowels of TLG (or in the hands of some part collector somewhere), like the 1 x 1 round tile in red-brown or the 1 x 1 square tile in trans-orange. -
Nice :)
