  1. If that's true on the Ecto-1 (which I seriously doubt) that would be awesome and the perfect opportunity to get one...
  2. I would love more Norse and Scandinavian-inspired characters in the CMFs, so far all we have for that is the S4 viking. Valkyrie with a Thor style winged helmet? YES PLEASE.
  3. Seems like a $149.99AU price tag for $99.99US sets is happening across the board for every theme in 2014, its the case for the City Police.
  4. At 20% off it will come down to $119.992 in Australia and unless MYER, Target and TRU (and David Jones too) ALL change their policies between now and then, it shouldn't be too hard to find it at the 20% off price (or possibly even cheaper if you go for e.g. MYER buy-one-get-one-50% or buy-2-get-one-free deals and buy multiples So if you are willing to wait, you can definatly get it cheaper in Oz than what Amazon want for it at this point in time. (but hey, lets face it, how many here are going to wait that long for what is the closest thing to a proper Space set LEGO have released in the last 2 decades... :) Not forgetting the Ecto-1, need to keep an eye out for that too (in case TRU USA, Amazon or someone like that will ship me one, the deal I got on the BTTF set last year from TRU USA was great :)
  5. Seems like the August date for TLM wave 2 is looking more likely as the release is timed to tie in with the DVD release of the film (which is not happening until months after the rest of the world because the film didn't hit theaters until months after the rest of the world) Looks like Amazon or TRU USA or somewhere will get my money and not the local retailers (to be fair, I doubt the local retailers or even LEGO Australia had any say on this, I bet Warner Bros made the decision here) I finally picked up my Hulk Lab Smash from Target Springwood (last one they had in stock too as far as I could see), probably the last one at any Target in QLD (certainly the last at any Target I might have been able to get to easily) Great set too, Hulk is one of my favorite super heroes, as is Thor. Iron Man is the only other Marvel Cinematic Universe hero I really like (although if they come out with a Fantastic 4 set or a decent X-Men set, I might be interested in that) Anyone seen any Iron Man stuff anywhere in QLD that's at a reasonable price? (and not at the rip-off RRP us Aussies were saddled with for that product line). Or have I missed the boat on the cheap Iron Man stuff?
  6. No, the Hun Warrior is eastern European and central Asian more so than chinese, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huns
  7. I suspect it will probably appear on Shop @ Home along with the rest of the world in June (at least I hope so) and then September is the date it appears in local shops.
  8. Anyone know when this will appear for us Aussies? I want to get one asap to avoid missing out (although I could wait a while and see if I can pick up a deal from Amazon or TRU USA...)
  9. This I like. Space Miner could be interesting. Pizza Delivery Guy sounds cool and we need a new and better looking pizza piece. Video Game Guy sounds cool too. (accessory could be a video game controller) Rock Star, depends on the torso and accessory. Battle Goddess could be an Amazon type warrior girl (something vaguely similar to the TV show Xena), someone female but wearing lots of armor and stuff. Wizard, we dont know if its a good wizard or a evil wizard (ala the evil wizard in the Castle Fantasy Era skeleton tower). Dino Tracker sounds like a character from the recent "Dino" theme maybe or maybe more like adventurers... Swashbuckler could be pirate like or they could be a bit more like the musketeer character.
  10. If the reports about the Spaceship not comming to Australia until August, I WILL be ordering from Amazon, Toys R Us USA or any other retailer who will ship one to me. And I am sure I am not the only one here who will be doing so...
  11. Anyone know when the current 20% off at Target finishes?
  12. Yeah I saw the info in-store on Saturday. So now all I need to find is A.A way to get a Hulk Lab Smash set for a decent price (I suspect the current 20% off at Target is my best hope at this point) and B.A way to spend $75 at MYER in May and get some product I actually want (that or find another way to get the cards somehow :)
  13. In your review of the drop-ship you said that the body armor only came in the cycle chase. That's incorrect, it also appeared in the Rescue Reinforcements :)
  14. Went to 4 different MYER stores today and called another 6 or so on the phone. Not a single Hulk Lab Smash or Metalbeard at ANY MYER store in SE QLD (despite the MYER website at the time indicating that Brookside, Chermside AND Indroopilly had stock). No sign of much in the way of other stuff either. (unless you count the dozen or so Opera Houses and big technic cranes at the Brisbane CBD store) Looks like my best option to get the LEGO Movie cards for May is to buy maybe some City or something (unless MYER happens to re-stock on Super Heroes or Movie product between now and the end of the month) As for the Hulk set, I might have to pay full RRP for it and suck it up (or forget about owning an Incredible Hulk figure...) Hulk is out of stock on the MYER online store too otherwise I could order from there and get my cards :) There WAS plenty of Superman and Batman and Spider-Man crap at pretty much every store I went to, just no Avengers.
  15. What does the code from the Rescue Reinforcements unlock?
  16. I love that the museum looks similar to the 60008 Museum Break-In set :)
  17. 20% off at MYER for Saturday only. Has anyone here picked up the second set of 5 LEGO Movie cards or know which characters you get (and which numbers)?
  18. I dont think TLM sets are going EOL, they are just selling like hotcakes because of the success of the movie.
  19. This set is the closest thing LEGO have released to a proper Space set in nearly 2 decades IMO and it is AWESOME. I WILL be buying it as soon as I can get my hands on it, if no local retailer has it at a good price in the mid-year toy sales (or the rumored "August" release date for Australia is true), I will find an overseas retailer who will sell me one.
  20. I wonder how many people are going to change the nose of one of the reindeer into a trans-red 1 x 1 for Rudolph (and why TLG didn't take the opportunity to do that in the set...) Its a great set overall though. And I concur with those who say its a guitar, if you look closely enough you can clearly see the angle of the head of the guitar.
  21. This is a bit of a long shot but does anyone know of any retail store in SE QLD that still has stock of the 4432 Garbage Truck? (not the LEGO Movie one, the last City truck)
  22. Target have announced that they are reducing the price of Simpsons figs from $6 to $5 http://brickingaround.com/2014/05/12/target-corrects-the-simpsons-minifigures-price/ I still plan to buy mine from MYER as soon as they have a sale though.
  23. Do any of the Arctic and Train sets contain either printed or stickered pieces with maps on them? And if so, does anyone have a picture of said maps? (I am trying to collect every map TLG has ever produced :)
  24. A swinging ship ride would be very popular I suspect, especially if it was motorizable with PF somehow (although since it doesn't swing 360 that might be hard to pull off)
