    I am looking for anyone out there who has produced a 6-wide Jeep in LEGO. Not the WW2-era military version and not the modern Chrysler-made versions but the civilian versions that would have been made and sold around the world in the middle part of the 20th century. The kind without doors, windows or roof. I am intending to build one of these in LEGO for a special MOC project (details of which will be revealed at a later date) and need inspiration or designs to study to get the iconic Jeep look.

    Can someone find out what the rules are regarding Cuusoo and The LEGO Movie (i.e. using LEGO Movie parts in Cuusoo submissions or submitting LEGO Movie projects)?

    The metal detector without stud isn't new, it appeared in a limited-release police accessory set a while back.

    Yeah that offer seems to be a general offer and not specific to TRU.

    I suspect they dont put more lights in because lights are expensive (relatively speaking)

    Has anyone seen sets 60048 (police set with police dog van, bad guy hideout and bad guy pickup truck), 60049 (police set with a helicopter on the back of a truck), 41056 (Friends news van), 76015 (Spider-Man Doc Oc set), 78011 (LEGO Movie set with flying kebab shop and flying saloon) or 78012 (LEGO Movie set with fire truck mecha) anywhere in QLD yet? Specifically the Gold Coast and preferably somewhere that has them on sale.

    I also disagree that Friends is stupid, some of the sets can be great parts packs even for those who build normal City.

    I for one would love to see more trucks with interesting loads on the back. The auto transporter is great but a truck with something interesting or not seen before (maybe a livestock truck with some cows or goats or sheep on the back). I would also love to see a bunch more of the really cheap sets such as 3177 and 8402 but which don't have an emergency services/rescue/etc theme. Just cars one can buy to populate a city but which look more like the everyday cars you find on the road these days (the yellow car from the 7993 Service Station is an example of the sort of car I am talking about) More tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, carpenters etc) and the vehicles they use would be nice. (we did get a plumbers van but its in another theme so it doesn't count :)

Then we have the Bluesmobile Then the James Bond Lotus Esprit submarine Then the Ninja Turtles van These are cool, please keep making them, so many famous movie and TV show cars to be made :)

    For those looking to take advantage of the 20% off sale at TRU, Pacific Fair had lots of stock as of yesterday (including LEGO Movie, new Hulk set, Disney Princess etc). Also, someone said something about 20% off at DJs.

    Is it wrong that I somehow think the cat in the Creator cat & mouse set is in some way "cute"?

    I heard that the reason TLG dumped baseplates from City sets and Creator sets and stuff is because the new system (e.g. 8x16 and 16x16 plates) provides a lot more flexibility and playability for the target audience. (even more so in Creator where the new plate style allows more flexibility in the alternate models)

    Worst that can happen from putting it on Cuusoo is that it doesn't get to 10k or it gets to 10k and gets passed over in favor of something better. Either way, it cant hurt...
