  1. Thank you! I too wish 9V was available, track as well...
  2. Thank you everyone for your feedback and comments ? I'm glad you like it!
  3. Great :) and all those memories it brings... I really like the area where wood is stored. And think they should fix it up a bit, it starts to fall apart ;)
  4. I love reading through the days of this assembly :) You build insanely quick... and must have a hangar for building!
  5. Hello! I would like to show you my rendition of the Chez Albert Parisian Restaurant :) There aren't many things in common with the beloved modular, I simply wanted to have my own idea about what a Parisian restaurant may look like. And the one from creator was simply too small.. So without further ado, here it is: It all began in January 2018 when we visited our family and they had this painting on the wall (reproduction of a fragment only): This served as inspiration to my build which of course was not an exact representation of that building, but it was a good start. It took me around 18 months to complete this party due to size, family obligations and some "great" ideas I had like including all interiors and a 9V lighting system for the ground floor and one of the rooms on the first floor. But I like the effect :) You turn the lights on and off by removing part of the awning which gives you access to old style 9V battery box: The building is modular: On the ground floor there is the restaurant together with toilet for the guests and restaurant kitchen. There is also a staircase leading to apartments upstairs: I also thought that including a part of build that no-one will ever see or notice is brillaint idea, here is the restaurant ceiling for you to enjoy ;) You can also see all the lights - 3 for restaurant, 1 for the entry and 1 for kitchen. Then there goes floor number one and first apartment with bathroom, corridor, bedroom and living room with kitchenette. First view from the top: and view of the kitchenette: Second floor has similar layout, just different finish: The attic is a typical place for singles ;) No dedicated bedroom... and a view of the kitchenette (a shot from a WIP): and last but not least - the roof! It was supposed to be flat, but since this is LEGO it bends up like a boat... I plan to complement this building with another one of similar size. Together they will form a small wall of buildings, a mini version of a street. This is already a work in progress that will likely not be finished this year. But who knows ;) I hope you enjoy this one for now :)
  6. This is incredible... I think you know more than any of us how great this is. Well beyond my capabilities.
  7. Just brilliant ?
  8. I have to say it is fantastic and the choice of decals at the bottom (especially in black) is.. interesting :D
  9. There is a known issue with 20t tan gears which are too wide and rub against liftarms creating too much friction. Start from those if you have any other spares, especially if have some older ones which work better.
  10. Great news, I will wait for the updated version. F40 is the greatest car ever made in my view :)
  11. Oh yes.. last time in Skaerbaek I asked the designer of Harry Potter train why they didn't use that occasion to bring that back, but he said they used the limit then already... Maybe some other time? Fingers crossed.
  12. If it is not available in English it is not so helpful...
  13. True, I prefer grey ones too, but for those supply is limited...
  14. I guess Queen won't be picky ;) They do a lot of different stuff. I would worry more about the LEGO decision. But even if they don't accept it, we have this crocodile, I'm happy already ;)
  15. I did have many problems with friction and that kind of gear in the past. I avoid using it anytime I can. It's just too thick. But I used to have this problem as early as with the orange arctic truck, I am not sure when the bad one was introduced.
  16. At first I couldn't believe what I was seeing ;) Cudos for the idea and execution :) That thing rocks!
  17. Thank you! Now it all makes sense :) That's what happens when English is not your native tongue...
  18. Can someone explain the difference between angular and linear motors in LEGO?
  19. Even worse then, knowing they have this problem so visible and not correcting this for the most expensive set in the line? Only the best is good enough, right?
  20. It looks super ugly. SHAME. How is it this supposed to be a premium set with such abysmal color consistency? Quality of lime looks like from some cheap knock-off brand. The irony here is knock-off brands do better in this regard. SHAME on you LEGO... I would be embarrassed where in their position.
  21. This comment is so out of place and disrespectful. There are multiple reasons people may not be able to just come up with something themselves. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to have "official" option on the table. Let's respect each other points of view. I am MOCer myself but doesn't mean everyone has to be one as well.
  22. I hope it was, we need more of that kind. I am also waiting for another source of manual pump, we only got one so far.
  23. This thread is pure gold. Thanks grohl for all those creations, they sure do impress and inspire :)
