  1. Well, on the other hand we will have the commemorative bricks next year in all technic sets for the 40th anniversary.
  2. Thank you. Unfortunately I don't have such photo. Maybe I will do one when deconstructing the building. The wall is not secured so if you push it, it will move inwards. Lots of fun in transportation ;) But you need to apply some force to deform the wall. It stays where it should reasonably well.
  3. Well, this button has been clicked for my MOC more than thousand times easily, about 50 times a day on average. You need to add a MOC to your collection the same way you do it with sets in order for it to show as owned by you.
  4. Great! Looks smooth, the shape is well done, the pavement looks like it belongs there too.
  5. Not technic and I did it for free with optional donation, but my modular flower shop allowed me to be 10 Euro reacher ;) There are 3 users claiming to own one.
  6. Wow, those are some unusual tail lights :) I love the curved shapes all over the car :D
  7. I really like the efect of the live street from that era. The open back is great for displays too - I need to start thinking of something different than modulars ;) Lots of details, I wish I could see this in person... Congratulations :) Edit: I must add I love those lamps made with welding guns :)

    My city story

That is one impressive piece of town you've got there! Particularly the corners :)
  9. Thanks guys! I was the one coming up with the layout idea and I did five buildings for it but it is a group effort from LUGPol :) I have some more shots from this weekend's exhibition that I will post later. Different layout and a bit more buildings.
  10. I was actually considering something a bit different too. I wanted to have an oval shaped glass dome that would be parallel to the entrance. Eventually I decided to go for the flat one. I would have to do too much international BL orders and I wanted to keep the costs low. Time was short too...
  11. Thank you all! Yes, there is a gnome in there :) Not really seen is also Lincoln sitting on one of the benches ;) The problem with this building is it is hard to photograph the interior due to those high walls...
  12. I'd like to present to you my latest creation that is the Modular Palm House: This build took me somewhat under two months to complete (evenings only, of course). What I wanted to achieve was to capture some of the XIX and early XX century architecture. I hope I was able to represent neoclassical style well. If you can help me with some comments regarding this, I would be grateful. I am not an architect myself, this was just me feeling that it should look more or less like it. Another thing that I had in mind was to create such shape of the building that was not done before. I know this is hard to do and there is probably someone that did this before, but at least I don't know any. This shape gave me some headache with the roof - there was simply nothing that really fitted well. Eventually I came up with glass roof which I like. I had also some other problems with those walls - stability. The only place where this is fixed well is the place where it connects to solid walls. The central piece sits on a 2x2 turntable, windowed walls don't connect to baseplate at all. Not too comfortable to build or transport. The mosaic was done first in MLCad, then recreated in brick. Otherwise I would have some serious troubles doing that right ;) Now, the reason this build is a modular is because of connection standards that it has, as well as the sidewalk. Other that it only has removable roof and one, big module: Here it the mosaic wall as seen from the outside: And the other wall covered in ivy: As could be seen from the "modules" picture, the interior consists of an island that is covered by exotic plants for minifigs to enjoy, there is a pathway around it, as well as ticket office (is that correct word for it?). The man selling the tickets can be seen from the front as well: Because of the glass roof, I was able to play around while doing the photos and give some additional lighting to the interior using headlamp, like this: And this is how my palm house looked like on an exhibition in Łódź, Poland: For full gallery please go here: http://bricksafe.com...ular-palm-house
  13. Really nice idea with the ceiling :)
  14. My daughter loves her duplo train, it's the automatic passanger one. Recently she started to play with it manually too. Sometimes she does that while the train is on, sometimes when off. Now, how much damage can this cause? There is no explaining she should not do it...
  15. This is beyond amazing, thank you for sharing. There is a lot to admire here, great attention to detail and part usage. Outstanding...
  16. Just perfect :) What rails are those with big radius? Some ME stuff?
  17. I don't as such MOCs would be too expensive for anyone to buy. And it would take me a while to get parts together again for the next build and time is at premium with two young kids around ;) As a side note I'm curious how much are people generally likely to spend on a MOC. Does that happen anywhere? Probably eBay. All sorts of things happen there :P
  18. I do have a flick account, but I still have to get myself together and upload my first photo there :P I'll do it, definitely, sometime in not so distant future...
  19. Yes, that would be good, but I didn't know the tracks would be there until just before the exhibition. The tracks where laid there in addition to where I planned them. This was done to show some side-track activity as well. On the next exhibition that will take place in Poland, Jordanów in September 20-21, it may again be a completely different layout. By the way - this will be the last exhibition for this train station. I will dismantle it afterwards. Next year I want to have new station :)
  20. Thank you! The awning is dead simple - it is built sideways and has those clips at the end: http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2555#T=C On the other end from the roof side there are a couple of those: http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=60478#T=C Those clips are the only way of connecting the awning to the building. It then rests on reddish brown pillars. Thank you as well :) The Pendolino was build by another LUGPol member: Mateusz92. Here is his flickr account: https://www.flickr.com/photos/72932485@N03/albums There is no Pendolino yet, because it is still a WIP.
  21. All the technic sets I bought were for my son :P He's 4 months old...
  22. Nice, but would like it better with bigger, modern style planes. This one is a bit too big for the classic planes ;)
  23. Thank you all for your kind words. It means a lot for me :)
  24. Wow, it looks bigger than on previous pictures. Looks great overall :)
