  1. Those technic panels feel right at home here :) really good build, it's a shame delivery was lost...
  2. Magnificent! You need to show it somewhere live, I would even have some suggestions close to you ;)
  3. Looks really good :) Also the colours work well together.
  4. There are some pictures towards the bottom of that album of my friend: LINK Thank you all for comments :)
  5. Can you elaborate in that? Some independent wheels are available? Btw this video makes me go back in time to that communication they gave us about technic Porsche and the gear sequence. They made it wrong on purpose to enhance our experience... Now I wonder what's next thing LEGO wants to blow to pieces?
  6. So there you have it. We no longer can buy custom parts. Thank you LEGO... "Modified Parts: All parts listed in your store must be genuine LEGO parts in their original, unmodified condition. Custom printed, engraved, chromed, or painted parts are not permitted."
  7. Thank you :) As can be seen in the background, we have chosen this type of support for all of our rocks. It proved to be surprisingly strong and stable. And not too distracting from the actual build :)
  8. This is my 2018 build in steampunk style of a flying rock with a small house on top. It has a dock with airboat moored. The rock houses rechargeable battery which in turn powers an M-motor that drives the windmill. The airboat features two domes right from Johnny Thunder Scorpio Palace set. I have waited several years to use it in this configuration :P when finally I had good opportunity to do so. I hope you'll enjoy it! I only have photos from the exhibition, I'm sorry for lack of clarity due to that. There are some distractions in the background...
  9. I love the looks of the set, both the train (let them do even more 8-wides, let's drop 6-wide altogether :P ) and especially the station. Don't care about the Disney figs, but don't mind them too. The real pain with this set are the new plastic wheels for me. "Only the profit is good enough" - this quote from a friend of mine sums it up good. A real shame.
  10. This is just great! I love to see you back online, I was getting worried you took longer break from LEGO ;) Your Tatra looks serious, like it means business ;)
  11. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, no B model is a gripe I have with this and few other newer big technic models from recent past. Licenced sets in particular are affected, but when the same can be seen in regular sets, this starts to worry. Looks like the new norm now is that it is equally probable to have and not have a B model in a big set. If it has one, frequently it is just a modification of an A model. Feels bad...
  12. Can you elaborate on that? Why would 4kg model have 1 stud suspension travel and 1kg would have more?
  13. For manual only set 42069 is anexcellent example of a great set. It was a real pleasure to build and kept me interested throughout the build. It also stayed quite long in a built state, which is rare. I usually dismantle sets very quickly after building them. This one was exception. It has great position of levers compared to the function they drive, have more functions than typically too and I think it would be not too easy to fit it all in a much smaller set. So I feel here the part count wasn't just for show. I do like RC sets, but as allanp mentioned those are usually not as interesting to build as manual ones. MOCs , especially those from Madoca are exceptions to that rule. But have more motors than sets... What I would REALLY like is a theme where we have model team married to technic full time :) Edit : I love pneumatics :D

Fantastic! I wonder how you put it on shelf. Does it need to be supported somehow?
  15. Wow, I wish I could come up with so many ideas for just one set... congrats :)
  16. I really like the build of the cottage and tree bit that blue ground just doesn't do it for me.
  17. Shouldn't you at least post one picture here?
  18. I will add on the photography: one of the things to consider is not to overexpose. I have seen the photos first , then thought "it's Whitefang". You have the tendency to loose details in highlights. Simply stopping the overexposure should help, maybe also tuning down the contrast. BTW, I like to read reviews of not so new sets and this was enjoyable for me (I have not read any other of that set) although I have to admit I stopped when I reached the first photo which didn't allow me to see what the model really looks like. I just scrolled down more and saw even more overexposed pictures and called it a day. I was only curious if anyone found it distracting and saw Kristof's response. And I really hope you will keep on reviewing :) jusjust with better pictures :P
  19. Absolutely AWESOME! Love it..
  20. 42065 was also a hit with my children. I'm sure that's why we're having similar set so soon. I still haven't bought the Mack and a new year has come. Time flies way too fast...
  21. That is just faaaar too expensive. It's better to have a bunch of smaller EV3 motors instead...
  22. Thank you. Though sometimes size is the limiting factor, so if those are still available, it would be great to have a couple.
  23. This is exquisite! And probably insanely expensive...
  24. Is this the right place to ask about what cables you use to connect PF motors to EV3 brick and how to get them? :)
