Residents of the Kaliphlin city of Petrea know where to go when they want to earn a little coin or find locate that hard-to-find item, The Andus Tradehouse and Bazaar. The bazaar is famous for its wide selection of goods and local cuisine. The tradehouse also serves as the headquarters for several merchant guilds. For the residents of this great city, the Desert King's reign has brought unprecedented peace and prosperity. Trade with Nocturnus has increased immensely, creating new markets for Kaliphlin goods and bringing in many unusual and interesting goods from the Darklands. ----------------------------------------- Hey guys, long time no see! You may have seen this on my Flickr page already, and now, finally, here on GoH, where it really belongs! I've been doing a ton of building for Nocturnus this year (which you haven't seen here either... yet) and I needed a break time in the desert. Thanks for looking!

Gotta fix my jaw here, because it just hit the ground... Blufiji, my man, this is something else. Perhaps one of the most realistic castle MOCs I've ever had the pleasure of viewing - that first pic in particular is just stunning! The way the castle is buried into the landscaping and surrounded by trees just works so brilliantly. Truly a masterpiece and my favorite from you so far. You certainly make Nocturnus look good. Now, where's that MOC Expert tag??

Just great, more reinforcements for that louse, Raavage! Seriously though, nice little build and intro. Welcome to the greatest guild!

[MOC] Trying to Catch the Big One
MassEditor replied to Graham Gidman's topic in Guilds of Historica
Loving that tree and the way you built the bank! -
Me oh my, what a treat to behold! You two have certainly outdone yourselves! How jealous I am of two brothers sharing such a passion and talent for the bricks. Of all the fantastic cityscapes we've seen in GoH, this certainly ranks among the top. I love all the terrain features, which is something many builders don't spend enough work on, in my opinion, when building such large city scenes. Some stunning designs and techniques to enjoy too, I especially adore that town hall/jarl's castle. I also see quite a few familiar faces walking the streets of Nordheim. As always, wonderful stuff you two, very inspiring!

The retaking of Eolas: The last straw
MassEditor replied to The Maestro's topic in Guilds of Historica
Awesome, some really great touches here: the burnt out section and the interesting tree designs especially. Also, the first pic does a nice job of accompanying the story. -
Beautiful, always love to see me some sand green incorporated into castle walls! The battlement supports are a really nice touch.

[MOC] NEW UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
MassEditor replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh wow, a truly capital build! Such amazing detail, I hope you are very proud of this baby! One of my favorite parts is your presentation and explanation of how closely you followed the design of the studio model. Such dedication is very inspiring. And the engine section, just wow. I also want one. Congratulations! -
[GoH] A Walk Down the Street
MassEditor replied to Jakorin Swiftsword's topic in Guilds of Historica
Awesome to see another build from you, they're as great as always! I love the classical, but very detailed, look of these buildings. That cobblestone street is fantastic as well. You really have developed a unique and pretty style to building structures, I always look forward to seeing them. Also, superb photography! -
Pretty build! I love the islands here, especially the one with the tower. The gate doors also look big and formidable. Hope to see more of this story and Farrveil Fortress! Also, overall, the photography is good, but I definitely second Gideon's suggestions. His advice has helped me greatly, and surely many others, in perfecting photography and presentation. Anyways, keep it up Asad!

Nice dragon family!

A captivating story and build for sure! The tale was quite engrossing, and, along with the MOCs, makes for a wonderful presentation of build and story which we don't see often enough here, I think. I had a lot of fun reading this and guessing who would catch the arrow! As usual, your builds are very unique and filled with interesting little details. I too particularly liked the low wall and the wheat field. The trees look great (especially when compared to the photo link you shared). It's always cool to see MOCs based on the builder's real-life environment (I have built a few swamps for GoH since I live in the middle of one ). Again, a lovely blend of story and builds! Can't wait for more!

Sweet builds and story BC! Interesting use of color in the first build and, as others have said, the loose landscaping techniques in the second MOC come across well. Lots of color and interesting building techniques in the third build. The color is great too. The low wall in the rear of the big MOC is a nice touch too. Great work man!

[DK Nocturnus Crusade] Changing Allegiance Again
MassEditor replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
The Nocturnus Resistance is pleased it can rely on such fine warriors to support it in the struggle against Raavage and the Black Spire. Gideon, you are the master of these outdoor desert scenes. The path, cacti and scrub vegetation adds just the right amount of color and detail here. As always, I absolutely admire your photography here.- 26 replies

Well, that didn't take long! I can already see these fellers playing an awesome role in Nocturnus. Excellent figs and scene Dubbadgrim! Fear Nocturnus! -
Woah, that's awesome Garm! What a great idea, and a perfect execution. The fact that you put so much thought and meaning into this makes it even more special. Such a unique idea, thanks for sharing with us!

Sad but interesting story, glad you joined GoH! Can't wait to see what's next for these two brothers!
-
Now that's how you introduce yourself! Such a vivid and lively build, a real treat to look at! The story is a lot of fun too. I think you will make a great contribution to Kaliphlin. And yes, those ladies are lovely! One suggestion: your photography overall is top-notch, but I think you may want to adjust your white balance settings. The colors look a little off, I think playing with the WB settings will help the colors stand out even more. Welcome to Historica!

Ernagh's Exotic Edible Economic Experiment
MassEditor replied to AardWolf's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Wow, would you look at that! Incredible work AW (hope you don't me shortening your name, it seems to be customary on EB!), this is one heck of an eye-catcher! You have such an incredible eye for detail. Not only is the build wonderful overall, but you've paid such close attention to the little details too. The roof and trees are particularly amazing... How long did it take to build those trees?? I could go on and on about this gem, but I'd rather go back to looking at it! Hope we can convince you to join GoH, I think you would be extremely well-welcomed! (You can cross build between GoH and LoR too!) Between this and your other fantastic builds, you are a MOC expert for sure! -
You never cease to amaze and impress...
-
Wonderful architecture! Like Jacob said, it's a refreshing style we haven't seen much of here. The gold accents are great too, especially how you shaped the helmet into the wall. Brick on Dwalin!
-
Thanks everyone! Thanks Kayne! Same to you! Haha, I know, I know! I was half hoping I could block this so only non-Nocturnus folks could see it! Don't worry my friend, I hope to make up for it soon!
-
Holy smokes, that is one of the coolest brick-built dragons I've ever seen! Such impressive detail for this little fellow, the craws on the wings are a great touch. Inspiring too, this makes me really want to try building some similar scale creatures. Love the patch of land as well as the opportunity to see the return of this powerful friend of the Nocturnus Resistance!
-
What an excellent, clean build. The composition here is superb, it's easy to see this is part of a bigger city. The little scenes of life in a port stand out, as does the architecture. A lot of little details to appreciate, like the cheese mosaic, the brick-built dome and the wave in the water. Great work LJ!

Such formidable reinforcements will be greatly welcomed by the Nocturnus Resistance! Man, these "Teddy's Bears" are awesome! The landscaping is well done too, especially the trees. A superb entry into the minichallenge. May death come quickly to your enemies!
