For as long as I've been a part of the online LEGO community; more than five years, I've never posted a MOC on Eurobricks, rather only lurked. On that note, say hello to my latest MOC and first on Eurobricks: Aside from not requiring surgery in the future, if there's one notable positive attributed to wisdom teeth removal it's that I have more time for LEGO. I had started this backhoe as a project to pass the time and keep my mind off the pain (due to allergies, I don't take a lot of unnecessary drugs like painkillers). As well, after surfing Eurobricks, The Brothers Brick and Brickshelf, I was surprised by the lack of backhoes. I figured I'd fill the void with this little guy. Enjoy! The interior is excellent, as is the exterior detailing. Really, the whole build is awesome!

Excellent functionality. I really like this little truck!

The slot car concept is quite a feat in its own right. Coupled with a well-built taxi such as this, you've got something exceptional. Nicely done!

[LDD MOC] 71,000 piece, 13-foot Super Star Destroyer

Oh my gosh. This is astounding; the scale, the detail, everything! -
Once again, thank you for your responses. They are all much-appreciated! Cities XL is good, but I feel the graphics are a bit lacking for close-ups. On the other hand, it's miles better than SC2013, but what isn't in that genre anyways?

Very cool! It definitely looks destructive enough to go by a name like that!

District 9 - Diorama_project- searching bricks

I too would suggest mental ray for Maya, but if at all possible, give Vray a go. I find the latter gives the best results for the types of renders you'd see in a project like this (often up close). -
Oh this is good, very good! I am loving all the angles, and the overall form in general.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I appreciate it! It feels kind of funny though, seeing as I've lurked here for a while, I already know a bit about some of the more prolific members around here.

Hello Eurobricks! As a long-time lurker, I'd say it is about time for me to create an account here. I've been an active member of the online LEGO community for about five years, having watched what went on with sites like EB, Brickshelf, Flickr, Zemi.net and LUGNET in prior years. One of the latter, Zemi.net, sparked my interest in space. Ever since seeing that website, I've been drawn to SHIPs, NCS, and Moonbase, most of all. During much of this time in the community, I had been known as BrickArtisan. However, this is the only online community in which I use that name. To make things simpler, I'll be switching over to Bipin, in effort to be in line with the pseudonyms used on other sites for other hobbies. Speaking of other hobbies, I'm an avid fan of Sim City 4. I am amongst the main custom-content makers within the community. This largely involves creating 3D models, usually buildings, for use in the game. It's a bit like sculpting (also the way I feel about LEGO), which is something I also enjoy. I love visual arts more than almost anything else and currently attend a program between the high school/university levels for that; I'm 18 by the way. You can find my MOCs on Flickr, right here: http://www.flickr.co...s/brickartisan/ For a preview of my work, here are two of my latest pieces: I do hope you enjoy what I have to offer. I know I love seeing everyone else's wonderful builds!
