  1. Oh yes, very nicely built! While there are quite a few vehicles, there aren't nearly enough NCS buildings around. You've filled a gap, and an important one at that. The electricity for the yellow, red, blue , white and black spacemen has to come from somewhere.
  2. Very nice construction; the station has a nice, more tasteful aesthetic. You've integrated natural scenery well into this build.
  3. Nothing beats that classic and timeless, albeit simple feel to the MOC. Nicely done!

Nice design, I'm especially loving those mirrors.

    Hyperion Tank

Nicely built, I really like the M-tron tie-in! I can't help but think of the Ratte P1000 when seeing this.
  6. Very cool! I'm a big fan of the chunky aesthetics.
  7. Wonderful work. This is one of the best mid-density urban scenes I've seen in a while!

    MOC: Florist

Very nice. I love that colour palette!
  9. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm glad you all enjoy this MOC as much as I do! My current WIPs include a semi truck, a flatbed for the aforementioned truck, an ambulance, a crawler crane and a few space-themed builds. There's lots to come!
  10. Based upon those built by Genie/Terex, this aerial lift was an experiment in both detailed and realistic building, coupled with functionality. Much of that functionality has been retained in this model. The boom elevates to a variety of angles with help from semi-functional hydraulic pistons and a locking mechanism for the joint between both booms. True to the original, the front wheels act as outriggers and are able to move closer together/farther apart. I hope you enjoy this model, and I'm sincerely sorry for the off-white edges of the photos, it's really bugging me. Be sure to check out my flickr for more photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/brickartisan/ Thanks for viewing!
  11. Excellent work! The perfect fusion of Technic functionality and minifigure scale form.
  12. Once again, the shaping and form here is superb; very unique!
  13. Excellent work! This is certainly one of the most unique NCS MOCs I've seen in quite time, in terms of shaping, form and parts usage.
  14. What a nice use of vintage elements; proving they are just as relevant today as ever. I especially like how you had used old dark grey in place of its successor, for the sidewalk.
  15. I'm loving that facade! Overall though, it's an excellent MOC with a nice colour scheme; not garish or too vibrant.
  16. Nicely done; a fresh take on modular buildings!
  17. Awesome work. Simple, but quite well detailed!
  18. What a great toy! I remember having these as a young child, up until the point I flushed a curved rail down the toilet. I did not do too many silly things as a child, fortunately that was the extent of it. It was Playmobil and LEGO from there on in.
  19. One of the best investments I ever made was buying a roll of black velvet for use as a backdrop. The stark contrast between the pure black, against the glossy LEGO atop it can be quite stunning if done correctly. Bonus points when you upload to sites like Flickr which display photos on black. Likewise, if you prefer a more traditional white background (excellent for darkly coloured MOCs or ones with many black components on the exterior) invest in a simple sheet of matte white posterboard. It will make things a lot easier and appear much nicer than two sheets of paper where a gap is visible. Regardless though, always white balance before taking the shot, as it is less of a hassle to do than in post. Depending on the MOC and the shot you are going for, it may also help to raise the creation up on a platform to mitigate issues when removing shadows during post-processing. Follow a few of those simple steps and I can assure you that the final results will be more to your liking. :)
  20. I really love this, those legs are very menacing, perfect for Blacktron!
  21. That is an awesome building, one of the best I've seen in a long while. I love all the details, including the Google Street-view car. Quite an awesome MOC! I'd also like to say thanks for adding it to the LEGO City group over at Flickr. Excellent work like this is always appreciated.
  22. Are those prisoner pods/cells at the rear? They're quite well integrated!
  23. Very well done. The aesthetics are quite unique, but easily identifiable as your own.

    [MOC] Backhoe

The cones are made with a lever base, on top of 2x2 cone bricks, atop a 2x2 square plate. The white stripes on the cones are made with LEGO stickers. As for the yellow sticker, it is used to cover up some ugly internals that form the structure of the beam. It plays no role in actually holding the item together, it's just there for aesthetics.

    [MOC] Backhoe

Thank you very much everyone for your replies! I really like how you've all noticed the use of seats for the buckets. (Can we call them bucket seats)? As far as rear views go, this is what I have right now, I can always take more later though: The outriggers/stabilizers attach to the chassis on technic pins, which allows them to rotate. I'll get more detailed info soon!
