  1. I don't like long beams for chassis much, as they twist and flex a lot if they don't have lots of bracing. It's a bit cumbersome to integrate with studless techniques, but a studded chassis is rock solid.
  2. Both SBrickController and the camera app I use (SportLook) report that they can't run in Android's native split screen. I tried it on an Nvidia Shield Tablet K1, running Android 7.0.
  3. TLG is very touchy in regards to their "signature" images, such as their logo or the minifigure. For example, starting next year LUGs can't have the word "LEGO" in their name (unless integrated in something along the lines of "LEGO user group") or any part of a minifig in their logo. An alternative could be an infrared icon? Like this one, for example: Also, is it technically possible in Android to still have the app receiving commands from the gamepad and forwarding them to the SBrick when running in background? I ask this because I use two apps with FExplorer: one to receive the feed from its camera via Wi-Fi, and SBrickController to drive it via Bluetooth; as they can't run at the same time, I need one separate device for each.
  4. Cool, great job! You might just want to change the icon for the PF receivers, TLG's legal department might not like the current incarnation. Regarding the current SBrickController app, is it possible to put it on the Play Store? That way, it'd be a lot easier to know of and install any updates you make.
  5. Hmm, I always thought from pictures that it'd be dark azure (and also the last blue sets, the 6x6 truck and the yacht, are dark azure too), but the video now makes me think about medium blue... I don't mind either colour, as long as TLG chooses only one and sticks with it!
  6. How is that possible? Don't you need your cheeks (the ones on the face, not the other ones) to prevent what you're chewing from falling off from your mouth?
  7. But don't the cones have axle holes on the bottom instead of pin holes? Wouldn't it make more sense to have axle pins in the vehicle instead, then? The B-model hypothesis makes sense to me, though.
  8. If you want it for the PF parts and don't mind getting a second M motor instead of the XL, the 42065 is a better deal.
  9. I'd bet more towards Uwe Wabra, as it has "UW" on the front as its "brand badge".
  10. Whatever the shade, I just wish TLG picked one, stuck with it, and expanded the list of elements in that shade. This year's "Fifty Shades of Blue" was disastrous for MOCs.
  11. Indeed, no gearbox. Also, the model is a bit too small to have a battery box plus an IR receiver (the suspension appears to have room for a motor, though). What I suspect is the retirement of good ol' 8293, and the introduction of a PF 2.0 to replace it, with a compact battery box/receiver (like the Boost hub, but without integrated motors) and one or two "intelligent" motors like the one with the Boost set. These motors allow both continuous rotation and servo-like behaviour.
  12. Not really out-of-the-box PF, but someone on this thread noted the large empty space and seemingly unused pins on the rear of the 42075. This could indicate PF upgradability.
  13. In 2017 they launched sets in five different shades of blue, so you can't always count on sensible decisions from TLG.
  14. The whole list, with extra images (including B-models), is at Brickset: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Technic/year-2018
  15. If the Mack does have side-loading containers, most likely it'll have the Arocs racks, in a configuration similar to the 42070.
  16. So, it's reasonable to believe that you may not possess them.
  17. It's possible. If I recall correctly, the first preliminary images of the 42001 showed what ended up being its B-model.
  18. I'd happily trade the printed instructions for a large poster that included the original and the "updated" 8860s.
  19. You mean this post? The prop blades in the images are 89509s:
  20. So far none, at least in Technic. I don't think these tyres see much use outside of Technic or maybe Creator, and I don't remember seeing double these wheels on Creator sets either.
  21. Been there, done that, with the 42033. Amen to that. Weird, one-of-a-kind colours may (sometimes) look nice on individual sets, but they're a pain to amass in sufficient quantity and variety for MOCs.
  22. It's odd to have "42084" amongst 4207x... could this mean an exclusive? If not, I'd say it's a polybag, but from what I remember polybags have reference numbers with more digits, plus they don't even have pricetags.
