  1. I'd happily trade the printed instructions for a large poster that included the original and the "updated" 8860s.
  2. You mean this post? The prop blades in the images are 89509s:
  3. So far none, at least in Technic. I don't think these tyres see much use outside of Technic or maybe Creator, and I don't remember seeing double these wheels on Creator sets either.
  4. Been there, done that, with the 42033. Amen to that. Weird, one-of-a-kind colours may (sometimes) look nice on individual sets, but they're a pain to amass in sufficient quantity and variety for MOCs.
  5. It's odd to have "42084" amongst 4207x... could this mean an exclusive? If not, I'd say it's a polybag, but from what I remember polybags have reference numbers with more digits, plus they don't even have pricetags.
  6. At least IMO there were some lemons, such as the 8041/42041, the 8063, the 42001, and the 8433.

  8. Watching that teaser, the thought occurred: it would be quite funny if TLG "painted" this Mack truck in red and blue flames...
  9. Well, they did once make a 1:1 8880...
  10. I thought about him too, but unfortunately he's not from Europe. @Sariel would also be a good candidate.
  11. " In depth knowledge of car industry/ interest to dive deep into this subject "
  12. Indeed, That message was originally posted in the LAN for us to share amongst our LUGs.
  13. It's been said that the 40th anniversary celebration isn't over, although no more sets are coming.
  14. I agrre that it looks better without the stickers. Black and purple and yellow and grey is too much BOLOCs. With only purple and black, it looks much sleeker, almost Decepticon-ish. But purple is still a really terrible colour to MOC with.
  15. The number of pieces shouldn't be used to measure a set. If every bush were to be replaced with two half-bushes, the part count would increase and the price-per-part would decrease. But the set wouldn't improve because of those two factors. Of course, I'm not saying that in this case the 42070 is better or worse than the 42069, I'm just against the metrics used.
  16. Here's an interesting video that shows well the effect or U-joint positioning:
  17. Yes, currently the wheel arches are available only in purple and orange.
  18. Maybe a long longitudinal axle connecting the two racks would be subject to torsion?
  19. For the origin the term, Wikipedia is your friend. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerrycan
  20. Either from LEGO or from http://www.bricklink.com, but most certainly it won't come cheap.
  21. He publishes proof of animal abuse by TLG and what you notice is the background colour!?
  22. If you consider the 42069's purple as "blue", there's yet another. Hah, that's one more to add to "fifty shades of blue"!
  23. I believe the two main reasons for TLG to not recommend playing outside is that sand and other stuff can get in the gears and jam them (and we all know how lovely an experience it is to have to take a model fully apart just to reach that tiny gear inside), and the appalling performance of IR control under sunlight... not that it has a great performance indoors anyway.
  24. Yep, I'm one of them. That's the reason why so far (at least until I see reviews or hold them in my hands) the only 2H set I'm looking forward to is the 42068. Although that's generally true, that can't be applied to behemoths like the 42066, the 42069 or the 42070 (all with hard-to-MOC colours), which are recommended for older "kids".
