  1. I think Rebrickable works best to keep an overview over your parts. It automatically determines which parts you have from sets and you can also add several formats from your favorite parts shopping site, like Bricklink. This is how I keep track of the parts that I purchased from there.
  2. I happened to watch a episode of "Detective Laura Diamond" by accident. It happened she was stuck at home and had LEGO sets all over the place. Mainly modular buildings and such. One of her colleagues talked about her as "LEGO Laura", which probably implies that LEGO is kind of part of her character due to her kids.
  3. Very clever. Mechanical contraptions like this are always a big surprise!
  4. Wow, that room and setup is really cool. I especially like how you use old baseplates to cover up front panels and the LED strip.
  5. Wow, only two orders to get all the parts together for this car :D
  6. Now that's the right scale :D Unfortunately, no video for poor Germans thanks to SME music and GEMA :(
  7. You don't have some preliminary parts lists ready by any chance?
  8. I think the front needs a little more work. Also the cabin should be a little higher, I guess. Other than that, good work.
  9. This is really sad. But I guess there is no chance to prevent this but to omit digital content like books. Though, it has been said before, some people release pirated stuff just to be able to say "first". And digitalizing real books is nothing new, but a lot more work. I bought both your books in print. I also bought the HumbleBundle, but not for your books, but the other books about LEGO, which I did not yet come around to purchase physically. Unfortunately, the formats are not very optimal to be read on a mobile device. Well, that stems from the original book format. Nothing to worry about. Another thing that you shouldn't worry too much is book sales. While it is bad that the books get pirated, the people that download it probably wouldn't buy the book anyway. On the other hand, the chance is probably bigger that someone who downloaded the book "for free" becomes a fan and buys the next book or even buys the firstly pirated one. There's the optimist talking. Still, content piracy is a crime. And those people "providing" the pirated works of other people should be held responsible for their actions. In your case, as you are doing, through the legal department of NoStarch. The question now is, how to go on in the future. I'd probably just stop the production of ebooks. In general I like my books on paper. And I personally like my digital stuff DRM-free, like it is distributed through HumbleBundle. I don't want to manage digital content through DRM measures. It's cumbersome and every other company uses different mechanisms. Also you cannot see into the future. Will the company be there in a few years, what happens with purchased content? That is why I don't buy digital music or video content. So, applying DRM to "secure" these ebooks is a no-go for me as well. I like my digital stuff to be always available and ready and free to distribute among my devices without having to handle this additional security shit. My 2 cents on this.
  10. @Omikron video works from Germany as well now Fantastic functions. I especially like the vectoring in the back. That's really really cool.
  11. I think I don't have to say how I like this pair or what I think about it ;)
  12. True, that's the GEMA for you. But there is "royalty free" music, where the GEMA-megablocks doesn't apply. I believe there was a thread about this topic not too long ago.
  13. Or use royalty free music ;)
  14. Wow, you really delivered. Awesome. Unfortunately, your video cannot be viewed in Germany, because of the music.
  15. Awesome. If you manage to integrate a yelp signal into bricks as well, this, combined with the red and blue LED elements would be perfect.
  16. No offense, but there is a thread for people to promote their Technic Blogs and Websites.
  17. You're welcome. This was just too good not to share. Also, the books might even be useful to us adults. The learning never stops ;)
