  1. In 42038? My guess is 11L. But could be 12L as well. Hard to say from just this picture.
  2. Very cool. I am jealous of all the chromed parts.
  3. I personally like the tracked vehicles best in this wave and probably get both. They seem to be nice sets not only through parts and color, but from set design as well. I also like the design of 42039. But I am not yet sold to this. But I like the color scheme a lot. The other sets seem kind of meh. I don't like pullback racers in general and the dump truck and platform truck don't have that much appeal to me. I have written a blog post with more detailed opinions. If you want, you can find it here: Click
  4. Erelender, I don't think the part is white in the picture. I think it is light bluish grey.
  5. Oh man this is so hard when you have something specific in mind and not enough time to really concentrate on it. Hopefully I can enter before the deadline. The digital model comes along nicely. Brick-built version will be started soon
  6. Sometimes, newer production runs of sets have parts from newer molds as well. Or even get reverted to older parts. Afaik this happened before, especially with the triangle piece. Also, I wouldn't mind getting the newer 8T gear. The second case also happened not too long ago with the new worm gear and newer production runs of the set where it occured suddenly had this piece substitued with the old worm gear as well as pieces and instructions to complement the change. Usually, the Bricklink parts lists are correct. But changes like described happen from time to time and will not be updated on BL (or a lot later).
  7. I actually like all designs. The are all quite different and have their own possibilities for use in a design. Mounting point wise, I like the newer panes better.
  8. Then why don't you make the whole chassis out of Technic and simply add the body that you have. Seems easier to me than trying to add PF motors to an otherwise custom chassis. That would also allow you to easily add a gearbox, steering and even suspension. And "combining" the Pi with Technic seems a lot easier to me than trying the other way. And if that was successful, you can still try building the chassis with the acrylic base. I mean, this project is really ambitious and it's basically about the learning (I guess), but I know what could happen if you want too much at once. Better roll it up step by step.
  9. Hm ... sorry I cannot be very helpful on this topic, but I have a question: Why do you want to use a Lego Technic motor (with case or without?) for a project that is elsewise not related to Lego (Technic) at all? Wouldn't it be better to just use standard RC motors?
  10. Quick question: Is it allowed to exchange the axles on the balljoint hinges for longer axles? Or must they stay where they are and as they are?
  11. Right now they have some worth. Even with "only" 40 of those connectors you have some easy 120-160€ or even more in parts.
  12. I have seen the car before. This is a really cool idea and seems to work very very good. Well done. The truck is interesting in its own right. It could probably use a little structural improvements to be more stable when unloaded, but the idea alone is already very clever. Something I realized when watching the video, when the rear part lifts the bed, the side boards get rotated downwards mechanically. Instead it would be cool if they rotated upwarts to secure the load a little bit more. But, I assume there is a reason why you did it like that.
  13. I have like 45 of them. When I bought the most of them, they were a lot cheaper
  14. Yes. Currently, the steering makes the whole wheel move sideways when steering, scratching it over the surface. If you place the wheels as said, you can basically turn them in place instead of displacing them sideways. More or less at least. In the end, as you have it now, it is not correct and no vehicle has it like that.
  15. I wouldn't sell it. Use it for MOCing instead.
  16. Good review. I am still waiting for some parts myself and cannot wait to build this beauty myself. I'll build the white version first and probably the red version later.
  17. When I got my NXT exchanged, I didn't have the original receipt either. You have to pay for shipping the NXT to them. But if they give you a new device, that's probably a worthwile "investment" ;)
  18. I don't. Only if it is a really really cool Technic model.
  19. Polofreak is helping. I already bit my keyboard when looking at the teaser LDD :D
  20. At least for me, it's not urgent And it's normal to re-work some parts. And LDD has some mean limitations as well.
  21. I guess your wheelhub will not fit into the rim of the Tumbler.
  22. i just took a look at the LDD. You did yourself a big favor building these angles in LDD
  23. Yes this part. I had recently made some BL order for the Phantasm, but none of the shops had this.
  24. This is very cool. I'd like to build it, but I am still lacking the small gear rack with balls.
