As a kid, I'd probably love this set. Lots of playability. Easily identifiable scene from the movie. I'd definitely MOC it, adding features and stuff. I's spend weeks inside the Lonely Mountain. As a grown up, I just don't like it. It's not that it's bad, it's simply that I'm not the target audience. It's much more like a playset than what I'd want from a Lego set. Some pieces in interesting colours, but that's about it.

I think this is a great idea. Going back and forth from the virtual thing to the real one and then back again is a great way to get kids --and adults too-- who are used to spending a lot of time in the virtual world but not that much time in the real one. How many of us have spent "just another hour" surfing the net instead of building things with Lego? Even when LDDing, sometimes we just let time goes by instead of moving to the "real" thing. Once people are used to going for the real bricks, I believe it will be better to keep them there. It seems like a long-term strategy to me and I bet it will work just fine. Sometimes all you need is just that little push to go for the real bricks and Lego Fusion might just be it.

Wow, looks awesome. I just got hooked on Gundam. I'm starting by the very first series. I hope to get to these new mechas soon ;)

Very nice classic layouts you guys got there, timmyc1983 and bright22. I guess most people went modular after that theme came out, going for similar builds. But I believe that the classic houses --at least-- are still fit for modular layouts, be them modular or not, or more similar to the Creator houses or not. I also love LightningTiger's "neo-classic" builds and layouts. Be sure to check his New Mannum pages. The latest can be found here.

Thanks for the pics, guys! That add is great, tkatt, thanks for shring! That layout is looking good, SuperJ76! I'm a conformist!! Lady, please post those Classic layout pics whenever you feel like -- I'll be on the watch for them. Iaka, I'm looking forward for your pics, too. A chronological build sounds really nice. Please feel free to post whatever Classic Town/City pics, vids and links you find over the 'net in this thread. I'll do the same.

Thanks for the review. I really like this set. Is there anyway you could please post some pics of the other side of the Cantina?

Yes, I do know our town index, laka. Thank you. But having been through its whole content, I've been looking for other classic town/city layouts (and it's nice to see that most of the pics in Google Images is from EB!). I think I just can't get enough!

I love the look of Classic Town/City (especially 80s-90s) sets, but it's hard to find city layouts based on that design. I've been looking for classic-style layouts, but I can't seem to have much luck on that. So, does anyone have links -- or maybe even pics -- of classic-style town/city layouts? Thanks in advance.

I think the original model is just lovely, and I love the improvements and how it's getting bigger!

Thanks a lot for the review! What an awesome set! I love "science sets" like this. In a way, this takes me back to Classic Space, with all the stablishing bases, exploration and research. -
Thanks for the review. Nice set. But... Where's Rocket?!

I think Kingdoms has the best Lion Knights since [Castle] Crusaders/Lion Knights Era. I wish TLG would update the Black Falcons the same way and give us an updated Lion Knights vs. Black Falcons, updating the Forestmen and the Wolf Pack at the same time. Now that would be awesome! I just love seeing the BF fighting the Lion Knights in your MOC. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic review of an awesome set. Thanks a lot, WhiteFangs! This is my favorite Cuuso/Ideas set. As others have pointed out, it is a perfect set. I have absolutely no complains about it and I can't wait to get it. On the side: anyone got a pic of Ecto-1 anywhere near the Haunted House? =D

I'm pretty sure there was a "Swooshing required" pre-requisite in the form I signed in order to be an AFOL when I came out of my Dark Ages I think "swoosh" should become the "official" expression for any AFOL interaction with Lego that results in some sort of sound production (especially pleasant, "life is good"-like productions!)

Those are very nice! Very nice indeed! Thanks for sharing. Shouldn't Power Girl be a little more... "Powerful"? Maybe in the chest area? Just kidding! Please keep them coming

Welcome! It's certainly reassuring when someone from the future decides to hop in the past. Something good must be in store for EB!

I'd love to have at least one Lego Store in Brazil, but due to all taxes down here I know that's nearly impossible. Every set costs about three times as much! Yesterday I was checking this toy store and they had the Pet Shop going for BRL 900.00+, which is about USD 400.00+ or GBP 240.00+
