  1. I'm speechless. Really impressive! Well done MOC!
  2. Wow! I swear I could hear the Knightrider theme...
  3. Legoville is looking great! Please keep the pics coming! Love how you placed Spider-Man -- definitely the best I have ever seen;
  4. Lordaeron? Alliance? World of Warcraft? Is that the selling point for this crest?
  5. Pirates 2015 gives me the creeps. I think the sets looks poor. The minifigs are awesome, but the sets are meh at best. The big ship is ok, but it's the ONLY big set in the entire line (I'm not counting the chess set). Even if you gather all the sets together, you won't have an Imperial Trading Post or an Eldorado Fortress. You won't even have an Imperial Outpost! And with the chess set here, it seems that there's not going to be a second wave: Unfortunately, Pirates seems as good as done. Pirates 2015 gives me the creeps not due to the sets themselves, but due to the fact that it makes me afraid of what may happen to a new Castle line. Anything close to Castle 2013 or Pirates 2015 is definitely a disappointment for me. Maybe even a HUGE disappointment. On the other hand, Pirates 2015 makes me hope Lego won't go so far down with a new Castle line. Pirates 2009 was ok, better than 2015, but Kindgoms 2010 (which followed Pirates 2008) was Castle at its best. Lets see. Alea jacta est, I guess.
  6. My jaw just dropped. And I can't get it back in place.
  7. Ideas are not really themes. They are more like stand-alone releases. Pirates is probably a one-wave, maybe two. Same goes for Jurassic World, Scooby Doo, Speed Champions, TMNT... I don't think Simpsons is gonna get more than a big set every year. I believe The Hobbit/LotR are as good as done. I think Minas Tirith is a long shot. If it comes, I hope it's at least as good as Kingdoms Joust or Helm's Deep.
  8. Now that's a good set! And look at the price!
  9. I know the feel... =( Hope you get what you are missing!
  10. You really nailed it! Looks awesome!
  11. Saw it in a Lego store yesterday. Smaller than I thought. Looks good though.
  12. RIP Leonard Nimoy. You have always been, and you shall always be, our friend. His last tweet was: "A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be head, but not preserved, except in memory".
  13. This is IMPRESSIVE! AWESOME, JAW-DROPPING creation!
  14. I'm sort of the type of person who cannot see toys from my childhood being chopped, cut, broken, etc, etc, etc. Even a toy such as Lego bricks/parts/pieces/whatever, which come in the gazillions. I have seen some awesome work done by people who like to customize -- and being a huge fan of GIJoe and Playmobil, I can say I've seen that quite a lot. I won't judge you, if that's your concern, and why should you care? You are an adult, after all, and quite responsible for your own actions. But as you asked, well, it always pains me to see GIJoe, Playmobil and Lego, for that matter, in a state that's not it's original or intended. Why do you need to cut that? I ask not to stop you from doing it, buit as you are building garage doors, what about something like 4217 1x14 brick with groove?
  15. This is one of my very first Castle sets, and indeed one of my very first Lego sets. I still have it, and I love it dearly. Thanks for the review. It sure brings fond memories.
  16. In my Legoverse, Pirates roam the seas and attack the poor guys (red coats, blue coats, Crusaders, Lions, Black Falcons) who live by the coast. Castle factions don't usualy live that near to it. Gunpowder is Pirate stuff, though. Honorable fighters don't rely in something so perverse Back on topic: We have to take everything with a grain of salt. There's nothing we can do against fact, and fact will only be here when sets are released. We can dream (and make wishlists!), though. I like to think that by posting here what we woul like to see we are making ourselves heard, at least somewhat.
  17. This may sound terrible, but it's actually praise: your Sarlacc almost made me throw up. I'm not kidding. I'm NOT one to go around getting sick. I still have a hard time going through some of the pics (I saw your post yesterday, and only today I found the energy to come and praise your MOC -- and believe me, I'm skipping the pics!) Very nice build, great background, cool MOC. Impressive!
  18. Another great review! What an awesome set! A pity the Dragon Knight doesn't have his own weapon stand or esquire.
  19. Thanks for the nice review. I love these clasic sets!
  20. *crosses fingers* Thanks for asking, BrickJagger! That's some great info you got there!
  21. Elves is a theme and line now. I'd be very surprised if there was ANOTHER Elf theme/line/faction a year from now, even as part of a different theme/line. Hope as I do, I can't really see it happening. My bet is: if it's Fantasy, we'll get Dwarves. Orcs, Goblins and Trolls is a different thing; they are "just" bad guys after all. They could show up anytime. Although Dark Elves could "break the mold", I believe it suffers from the same problem a new Elf faction does: there's an Elves theme/line already.
  22. Princesses may be a good option for interiors and other Castle-like sets. If done properly, it can be what Friends is for City.
  23. NIce airport you got there. I love these classic sets. I never had any of the airport theme sets, but I do like them a lot.
  24. I had a good laugh! Nicely done, MightySlickPancake!
  25. Yesterday I got the King. It is one of my favorite minifigs ever. EVER. It's just so perfect in every sense. The colours, the beard, the hair and crown, the "royal" cape... I can't praise this minifig enough. I love it. I truly do. It's classic and so up to date at the same time. I can't stop looking at it. It's. Just. Awesome. I lack the words to describe it. I just love this king. I'd love a new Castle theme with minifigs just like the ones from the last two series: God/Evil wizards, Princess, Jester, King... From now on, my Lion Knights/Crusaders are led by the Series 13 King.
