Some tornado-chasing vehicles would be cool too! Or bomb-squad trucks..

This is great work.. i like how the fountain really seems to work! The whole setup is colorful and you worked with so much details, really amazing!! I would put some extra minifigs in the layout however, especially on the sidewalks in the back, with the modular buildings! Hope to see expansions soon!!!

Great train...especially in this layout.. beautifull!!!! It was also fun, to see an old topic of mine being dug up, to update it with another great long train!!!
-
I like your square too.. i see some comparisons with mine...especially the tan and dark tan tiling...
-
Wow...that is such a complete build!! The building already gives an impression of what the activity inside could be, so i think you did that really good!! I love those details... it is almost sad, the inside can't be seen directly from the outside.. as the interior is also perfect!! Very well done, this is certainly one of the best modular MOC's that i've seen the last years!!!
-
That might actually also look pretty good on large squares in between the modular buildings!!!

That is really looking great.. it was sure worth to put so much detail in it!! Great structure and a unique building!!
-
That is good remark too....the City cars are a but too small....that is also why i placed them in the back of the layout.. haha...Maybe the larger SUV-cars from last years City theme could fit in better... they are bigger and have larger tyres and so on!
-
Really nice and colorfull house, very well done!! I like it a lot, especially the roofing and walls!!

Jasper, yes you are right... what is the right scal for a minifig, if the minifig itself is totally out of scale... I could have made the parkinglots just a few studs longer though... but i tiled the baseplates first, and after that, i was considering the speed champions would be a nice addition with the right amount of detail in comparison with the modulars! Here you can see better that the parkinglots are actually just as long as an average speed champion...

There is no need being gentle.. it just looks very good.. !! I would place a light bluish grey half pin in the 'P' from your Police-sign... to fill it up a bit.. you could put it in from the interior side...! Great work!

I follow your answer pretty much... But like cars, there are other things that are a bit off scale, mostly lanternposts, trees and so on.. but all together, and watching with Brick-eyes... it does the job!

I took the buildings down the attic just for a quick layout change a few years ago.. i decided to take a few pictures of them, standing on the table... Later that day, they all went back to the attic, so it was a short stay on the table!

Assanti 780 Turbo (wip)
LegoSjaak replied to StangMan302's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, please do not post untill you have pictures.. I could also make a new topic for the new modular 2019...pictures within a year or 2... -
It is better to start very small.. you will learn how to decorate a street and you can always expand it later.. don't hesitate to replace things later, or for instance sell the fir trees and make brick-built trees later.. You can't have everything at once.. just develop your own style in it! Hope to see something soon!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoSjaak replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
"knowing that there is always something to look forward to...." That makes me pretty much feel good about continuation of the series!!! Actually i'm really happy!!! Thanks for sharing!!! This is pretty important news, i think!! -
My first thoughts were that you should buy a second HE, but i think it would even be better to buy a modular set instead... ..i think more people would do this....
-
You could also let us decide.... count the votes..and there you go...: One vote for HE..
-
Oh yes, i would definetely buy a second set.. it does look so much more appealing, and meets the detail-level of the Parisian Restaurant much better! This one is actually with another two extra coaches...
-
I see some kind of pattern in this... i remember i started the same way, only it was a few years ago already!!!

A nice way to present your speed-champion-like cars!!
