  1. Should have posted it here instead of making a whole thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8156&st=825
  2. You're aware that the reason we got LOTR sets was because The Hobbit was a thing, right? And unlike Star Wars/Superheroes, LOTR/Hobbit hasn't got cartoon shows and similar to drive sales.
  3. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.. Surely it's more important to get key missing characters like Faramir and Gondor soldiers than new versions of Hobbits..
  4. Could it be some kind of anniversary-sets? That could explain the seemingly very varied kind of builds
  5. It's easy to get the budget together - just skip the crappy USM sets.
  6. I find the term AFOL to be pretty silly. I mean, you're a fan of LEGO, so just say so. Telling people you're an "adult fan" shows a need to separate yourself from younger fans, which only increases the stigma you're trying to avoid.
  7. This is a bad study, a biased one with biased results. How many licensed sets did they count? Counting all yellow minifigs as European? This is just teachers brainwashing kids and making a clickbait article to be spread on facebook. Make a new study and remove any licensed themes and all "girl"-sets and then we can talk. Its still a pretty big non-issue since you can easily make your own females. I think we can agree that we need More ghost and monster rep!
  8. Eh, theyre not really CS. The fact that the spaceship is selling like hotcakes isnt because its CS. Its because its an awesome spaceship from the Lego Movie! And the exosuit wont sell because its CS, but mainly because its cool.
  9. You people are getting ahead of yourself. This was a one-off, much more related to The LEGO Movie than Classic Space. There will not be more CS-sets, and I think you're kinda sliding away from the topic by discussing that
  10. I don't know why we need a feminist set, LEGO has really upped the diversity and these days most sets have good male to female ratios.
  11. Some are supported, however Jangbricks just orders his stuff from Europe (it usually releases earlier there than the US)
  12. Any particular reason why X-Men, a well established franchise, only gets one set while Guardians of the Galaxy, a generally pretty unknown franchise, gets 3?
  13. You probably did right, LEGO drives up the prices to absurd amounts here anyway - The Delorean had a RRP of 35 bucks/pounds, but we in Sweden got robbed - It was 549 SEK here, or 80 bucks/50 pounds!! Going by that logic, I'd expect the Ecto-1 to be atleast 699 SEK (over 100 bucks) here, maybe even more.
  14. It's a bit bulky. Anyhow. What's the latest sign that LOTR isn't dead? Because it looks to me that it's 99 % dead. I guess that if we don't get any hints in the next Hobbit sets we can confirm it's dead?
  15. Will this be on sale on S@H starting June 1st? And does anybody have an idea what the price will be in Europe?
  16. I wouldn't be so sure. It's kinda weird, as others have pointed out it's very expensive yet focuses on play feature - I can't see anyone but very richest parents buying this for a kid. And at the same time, this set turns many adults off since it's pretty jambled and not that good for display (generally, I know some like it) On top of that, the seriously inflated price in many parts of the world turn people off even more.
  17. The Swedish Price is 2799 SEK - or 433(!) USD and 259 GBP. I'm genuinly mad. Why do we in Sweden have to pay almost DOUBLE the price that the english does? We're both in Europe, not that far away either.
  18. So does the fact that it says "Continue the Adventure December 2014" instead of something like "The Journey concludes December 2014" Imply that there's still more to come? Or Am I reading into this too much?
  19. It looks awesome! I really like mini-metalbeard, I love how all his details are just shrink, I especially like that brickbuilt little shark! It has tons of details, massive size, what's not to love? Well, it's the price. I find it very sad that it's 169 pounds in the UK while being 2199 DKK - That's 240 pounds (!!!) It will probably be even worse in Sweden. And being an exclusive set it probably wont fall in price much at all either. I'm hesitating if I'm gonna buy it.
  20. The Hobbit pre-order bonus: http://www.thebrickfan.com/gamestop-lego-the-hobbit-video-game-pre-order-bonus-revealed/
  21. If LEGO is going full china in 2017 LEGO has definitively gotten the last of my money.
  22. They're "relics" from the human world.. Lord Business has a room full of them.
  23. Why? Simpsons House is a mere 200 pieces less than The Sea Cow, but that's also a licensed set, and that was 200 bucks.
  24. What did he spoil? The part about Kragle being Krazy Glue? You'd REALLY have to be dim-witted to not know that by now.
  25. Why do you need to justify your hobby? Just say that you enjoy building with LEGO. What you do with your spare time and money is none of their business. Also, I find the term AFOL to be pretty silly. I mean, you're a fan of LEGO, so say so. Telling people you're an "adult fan" shows a need to separate yourself from younger fans, which only increases the stigma you're trying to avoid.
