  1. The Tunneler beast might my favourite set of 2014! For such a small set it's a wonderful little thing. Small but fierce, with tons of articulation and a kickass colour scheme.
  2. I can't believe that people are even debating that we'll get a Bigfig Hulkbuster - of course it's gonna be a brickbuilt one that a regular Minifig-Iron Man can fly inside and "dock" with. And a Bigfig Hulk, maybe some other minifig and some kind of scenery. A mid-range set.
  3. Just an heads up, there's usually a double VIP Points around October, you might wanna wait until then since you're spending a decent amount.
  4. Anyone know what Europe gets in September?
  5. Now that's scalping if I've ever seen some!
  6. Actually that's exactly what happened, they decided to make three movies instead of two in the middle of making them, probably one of the reason why the movies are a bit chaotic and worse than LOTR
  7. Apparently a major point in the movie will be the battle between the Hulk and the Hulkbuster. Pretty sure that's gonna be a set.
  8. I look forward to the small set with Galadriel.. She might just be the best minifigure we get out of the entire Hobbit-series. Do you think she's gonna get a special cape, maybe similar to Storm?
  9. So the final Hobbit Wave will most likely be the saddest and most disappoint wave of sets I've experienced with LEGO. Good job!
  10. After watching the trailer I feel a bit insulted, how Peter is using Billy Boyds great singing from a very heavy scene in LOTR, genuinly moving one too and applying it to this awful CGI cashgrab. You know that the silly "Bard races around on a cart" will be a 10 minute action scene. With that said - I'm really disappoint that we get Battle Goats instead of Battle Boars.
  11. Yes it does, you get a huge impressive Spaceship with 75055 while you get some rocks and a playmobil dragon with 79018. You can rave over and over how many new molds Smaug are and the costs for them but it's still LEGOs fault that they screwed the set so badly with a miserable pile of rocks.
  12. You guys that nag about how these terrible people dare to make money on you collectors is hilarious - If you wanna look at the problem, look into a mirror. You are the ones that choose to pay ridicolous prices for some plastic. You don't have any privilegie and does not have to own every single plastic bit LEGO releases People have made really good points in this thread. How these aren't really LEGO but rather marketing tools. And most will definitively end up in a future set, one way or another. And let's face it, LEGO will keep on releasing these, because the positives heavily outweighs a bunch of people raving over it on the internet.
  13. I don't get why people has such a hard-on for a Treebeard set, even less so with such boring figures. We got a Treebeard in Tower of Orthanc. Sure, you can moan about how he's called Ent, but look at him, he's treebeard.
  14. Since he's reaching for the mask on the big stand, and clearly has a hand, do you think we'll get actual hands for them? I was thinking that they could have hands similar to the new Hero Factory Queen Beast: http://cache.lego.com/media/nxtlog/6eeaf494-e268-4a12-bf30-05b0f74607ea/440x330/QueenBeast3.png
  15. There's no way LEGO would make sets based on a (likely) R-rated game. You guys are getting more and more desperate.
  16. They could have come up with something. How about some Dwarf skeletons. Or they could have gone ahead and made a set about the first attack on Erebor, so we could get young Balin, etc. It really grinds my gears that Fili/Kili is in the set when they're currently in Laketown in the movie.
  17. It's understandable tough. LEGO got no one to blame but themselves if the fact that Smaug was so expensive that they had to put 5 uninteresting figs (that we've already got) and only 866 pieces in a 130 dollar set. Sure, licensed sets are a bit high in general but 0.15 cents a piece is WAY too high.
  18. I'm assuming that Smaug is supposed to carry the set? Otherwise it looks like crap frankly, two eh builds and minifigs we've already gotten (I don't really care for alternative prints most of the time)
  19. I was hoping they would have implemented a bat-bike that comes out of it. Eh, I'll pass. I'm not interested in a 200 buck black brick.
  20. Which again brings us to the (atleast from how I see it) the main problem with LOTR - lack of tie-ins to get kids interested. LOTR hasn't really got anything other than the movies, which most kids probably won't watch on the first hand. The Hobbit sets are just slightly better, since they're in the cinemas right now. Still, they lack the vast amount of tie-ins Star Wars and Superheroes got, the most important really, cartoons.
  21. That's not true at all. Remember that even if there's a bunch of AFOLs that buy like 10 sets for armybuilding they are still a miniscule part of the whole customer base, which is by a wide margin based mostly of kids.
  22. Hi! As the topic title says I'm looking to buy an 10201 Imperial Flagship. Unopened or opened doesn't matter I'm interested in anything as long as it's complete! I'm located in Sweden so there's that, too. :) Hit me up if you wanna sell one!
  23. What would Shipping to Sweden be for the Uruk-Hai Army?
  24. Sadly, I believe that other than a very dedicated and small fanbase most people don't care too much about LEGO LOTR. I do believe that Hobbit is more popular, solely due to being movie tie-ins. And LEGO doesn't care about making iconic moments, they care about sales, hence why they decided to make a Pirate Ship Ambush in wave 2 instead of a Gondor set - kids like pirate ships, eh?
  25. That set will never be greenlit or made. Its way too big and based on a license they already own.
