Then, how many people are truly army builders? The ones who truly army build is a minority among AFOLs, and a miniscule minority seen to all of LEGOs sales. And you can't blame LEGO for wanting to update the minifigures. However I do hope now that both torso and legprinting seems to be standard the different versions will look less different from each other. As for the general topic, I agree that minifigures are getting too detailed. Luke in the Cantina-set is the worst offender so far, the lines just make him look really weird. He was fine in the latest Millenium Falcon, why change him up? Oh, yeah, so LEGO can print "new" all over the box..

LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

The AAT's size is fine, it's actually pretty close to the movie scale. You guys are just used to the last AAT, that thing was ginormous! -

Being a huge CIS/GAR-fan, I've wanted the Venator-Class Attack Cruiser (8039) a long time. Now I've found one for sale for 70 Euro. Everything included. Should I go for it? I'm also looking for opinions on people who owns it, and possibly how it compares to the newly released ISD from this summer. Thanks! -
LEGO Star Wars 2015 Pictures and Rumors

This wave is real underwhelming.. No big fan of Rebels, or episode 1 sets. Rebels Stormies arent interesting either. Funny how the two missing sets is the one Im interested in, Anakins custom starfighter and the hailfire droid. Supposedly theyre retailer exclusives so there wont be pictures any soon. Its a good thing tough - Ive yet to finish the tremendous Summer wave and still need to get a snowspeeder, the cantina and another at-at! -

Isn't it time we lock this thread down? People repeating the same arguments and opinions and dream sets are eh. -

I think 75055 is amazing. Now I haven't actually held a 6211 in my hand, but 75055 seems much better. It's much more nicely detailed, like Robianco mentions the bridge on the older version is way too big, but really nice on the 75055. Plus you don't have the ugly bricks with holes on the sides of the new one. The minifigures are great too! I'd definitively recommend it, it's both a great playset and a nice display piece. -

So we're gonna get some new playmobil dinosaurs? Damn shame. I hoped that they would make sets based on older movies, like Indiana Jones, but looks like I'm out of luck.. I want a Nedry fig!- 1,412 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors
Risgrynsgrot replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Maybe it's because I'm used to the smaller Slave 1-sets, but it looks kinda... fat. I'll pass, it's nice but not 200 dollars nice. -

What's worse is that we got two a Gondor Set (Black Gate) and still didn't get a Gondor Fig! -
Yeah Carlos, any evidence of another wave of LOTR in the instructions?

What is generally cheaper/part sets or bricklink
Risgrynsgrot replied to Zerobricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Bricklink is, ultimately, never a particular "cheap" way to get parts. Bulks CAN be a good deal, but you can often end up with broken LEGO, heavily worn pieces, other brands and such. I personally find the best way to get cheap parts is to buy sets on clearance. -
LEGO LotR - general discussion

You guys rave on and on about how this set would sell like hot cakes and that set would sell like crazy but you gotta remember - LEGO LOTR isn't that popular. Sure, we got a few incredibly passionate fans of it here, but there's just a bunch. Now compare it to say, Star Wars or Super Heroes. Not only do they have atleast as many fans or many more (see Star Wars) but they also have much more kid fans. In the end LEGO is all about the sales, and that's what gonna decide if they wanna spend time and money on making a third wave. -
I splurged and got the latest B-Wing 75050. I already own the latest X-Wing and A-wing, only the Y-wing left!
-
You really can't. Best is just to message the seller and ask him the total. After that it's just trying to read trough the splash page and make an estimate on total including shipping and other charges. It's better to message the seller tough.

Haven't bought LEGO in a couple of weeks, and I want to spend some dosh. What purchase would you recommend? 1. LEGO Star Wars 75050 B-Wing 2. LEGO Star Wars 75038 Jedi Interceptor and LEGO Star Wars 75041 Vulture Droid .. I don't know really. If you have any other cool set in this price range tell me! I do have all the Marvel Superheroes ones (not SPider-Man but they suck)

2015 The LEGO Movie rumors and discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah. And to add some kind of conflict, have some Scuba Cops? Maybe it's supposed to portray both the scene where Uni-Kitty hides out of the window and them hiding in the double-decker couch. -

How come we're apparently getting two sets based on different movies when LEGOs contract only has 1 movie per year? Maybe it's like the Sentinel X-Men set, that it's probably inspired by the movie but not directly related to it. I hope so, because I want a red Comic Book Ant-man! -

I'm a bit worried - does the Double Decker Couch set mean that we won't get a Submarine set? After all, it might be the set with the sad, sitting Unikitty - it's right next to her in the scene. -
LEGO Minecraft (Minfigure Scale) 2014 Rumors and Discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These look like crap! Sure I expected them to be a mish-mash of bricks but the new molds for the pickaxe and shovel looks bad, crafting bench looks bad, Pumpkin doesn't look like it does in the game! Probably won't be cheap either, Notch gotta has his share. I bet they'll sell like hot cakes anyway! -
I feel that while the new one (obviously) is superior in terms of accuracy, they don't really have that LEGO Charm. The new models are essentially sloped pieces built on technic frames, with lots of specialized parts. The old one however is very blocky and has the total LEGO Charm going on, also very few specialized pieces.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Because it's not Marvel, it's Fox who has the movie rights for FF and it's Fox who's making the movie. And like I said, they're only doing the movie because if they dont the movie rights to FF will automatically fall back to Marvel. So yeah. I wouldn't mind some sets based on classic Fantastif Four tough! -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The movie is made with not one single bit of love or care. Fox is only making it since they have to otherwise the rights fall back to Marvel. And the director is only making it so he can make Chronicle 2 with a different name (you would cringe at how much they're changing) -
LEGO LotR - general discussion
Risgrynsgrot replied to General Magma's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I would be seriously surprised if we get more LOTR. I think it's clear that LEGO originally intended on two summer waves of LOTR sets and two winter waves of Hobbit, to tie in with the two movies. Then the movies turned into three and LEGO quickly had to change up their plans so they could profit as much on the three movies. And that's why we'll get three Hobbit waves and only two LOTR waves. And this theme (counting LOTR/Hobbit as one theme) has 26 sets, which is more compared to the much better selling Marvel Superheroes Theme (which also has a tie-in that kids watch, ie cartoons) To end it off, this theme has been lacking in sales, sure some sets like the Uruk-Hai Army has sold well but my store has tons of Mirkwood Spider sets left even tough they've been on clearance for months. At least we ended with a bang with LOTR, unlike the crap that Hobbit got. -
Wow, this wave really sucks. The only set I'm remotely interested in is Witch-King Battle, and that's only because of Galadriel. Bard in two sets? Tauriel in a set again? Azog in a set again? An eagle instead of another animal? It feels like they just gave up on this theme after (what I presume) are bad sales and just whipped something up for the last sets.
