    To be fair, I did say until you see them in real life it is hard to pass judgement. And I do agree, TLG have to appeal to both advanced and new technic builders and we are talking about a toy here, the more advanced bigger sets appeal to adults more, the smaller sets are more for kids with pocket money, odd job earnings etc... I didn't mean to be so harsh, I suspect all the 2018 sets will be just as good as the 2017 sets, which I only have 3 more to collect to have them all. I need to find another hobby this one is getting expensive lol

    the bulldozer model looks terrible, but the truck looks interesting. But then until you get to see these models for real , images don't always do lego kits justice. The extreme adventure or bucket wheel don't look anywhere near as impressive via box art, and the container yard model from the 40th anniversary sets didn't look much either. But once built and on display, the look amazing.

    The pics are on instagram, user lego_peru the pics are basically early previews of catalogues for upcoming 2018 sets. it really doesn't show too much but there clearly is something big and a truck coming. But its a black silhouette, so it could be anything truck wise.

    ooh a possible mack truck. Reminds me when they released back in 1992 I think Lego Model Team trucks. Wish I'd still got my Lego Model Team trucks. They were fairly decent models back then.

    42069 extreme adventure is actually an amazing set, worth the asking price anyhow. It should be motorised and made the 2017 flagship model. Whatever TLG was thinking with 42070 I'll never know but Extreme Adventure makes up for it. Quite a haul of parts and some nice details gone into that set.

    Excellent set, one of my fav lego technic sets, I have two, and I love to build even just the A model and B model and have emmet mini figures in the cabs lol.. lovely kit enjoy.

    I think its a nice set, simple in looks , it can have PF added, but after getting the extreme adventure set yesterday I think set 42069 is the better H2 lego technic set, which is odd, as at first the fire truck was the one I liked the most, until now.

    Going to build mine without stickers first. See how I like it. Some models look better with stickers some without. The BWE the stickers made it look complete, same as the Claas , but I left the stickers off the 2016 Lego Go Kart set, and it looked so much better.

    Smyths toy stores local to me in the UK has all three sets in stock. The fire rescue and extreme adventure are fantastic looking sets - the 6 x 6 truck however still isn't doing much and the price its on the shelf for, I can't see it shifting well, shame. The extreme adventure however is a great looking set, so much so, I picked one up.. : - ) And so they do, oh no. They have the rescue truck and the jet fighter in the three for two deals, this could be hitting my hobby budget hard this month.

    used 9 kits.. I have two 42055 BWE myself, but if I got 9 my gf would perhaps be having words lol Even at the UK lowest price of £128 per set, you can see how expensive a build this really is. its an amazing build, love the little min figures. Massive looking impressive MOC, really do like it.

    wish I'd kept my old lego tehnic figures. I also had the really old snow explorer figures that came with the model snow mobile centre and helicopter. But they got lost, still it looks nice with the figures trying to finish the build.

    Set 42070 will drop in price - lego set 42055 Bucket Wheel dropped from a really high price in the UK to under £130 and for that price the BWE and all the parts you get and two great builds model A and model B, the big sets when they drop are worth picking up.

    oh so I take it most are regarding set 42069 as the flagship for 2017 and not 42070? I prefer set 42069 over 42070 as well, and its a heck of a lot cheaper

    Nice review, I think this is a lovely creator set, my gf likes the creator and architecture line from Lego. But she only likes them as display pieces so I tend to let her buy them, but I build them. I'm more a technic collector. works out nicely, I get the enjoy the building process, and the gf gets a nice new lego model to her collection.

    42070 is not worth £219. I'll get set 42069 as that is listed for £139, which is a an ok is price for the entire set. 42068 I'll also pick up and grab a PF kit for it. Technic flagship model this year is a big disappointment sadly.

    The gearbox is a work of art. Amazing model, really do like this one. Looks amazing in white /black with the grey underchassis. Great work.

    I wasn't too sure on this kit, I think it is slowly growing on me. I think the reviews I've now read on this forum might have swayed me to go and buy this one.

    Wish I could build something as great as this without instructions. Its a superb model. I love it.

    Wow that is amazing. Fantastic MOC lego model. Must have cost a fortune to make , but it looks amazing.
