    (Moc) Umarak Kai

So Umarak has been hitting the gym, hm? Jokes aside, I really dig the hulkier body frame. Both the feet and the arms have such a powerful feel to them, and the bright trans-green gives it a little splash of contrasting color.

    (MOC) Kai's Crimson Kaiphoon!!

I haven't gotten around to watch Pacific Rim yet either, but regardless, this is one very-well done MOC. My favourite parts are the claw-hand on the left arm and the feet.

    LEGO Nexo Knights 2018

So, I guess we'll get Cyber Space Bugs. I'm totally cool with that.

I'm more curious about the scale than whether or not the set will actually convert (as I'm certain that modding Voltron into split-able Lions wouldn't be too hard). Will the set come with Minifig Pilots? As for the design, I like both versions of Voltron. I like the redesign of the Netflix Version, but prefer the proportions of "Classic" Voltron.

    THE BIG CHUNGUS

Oh, that's a pretty nice MOC! What I like in particular about this MOC is how it's design is a blend of Transformers (the overall design of the robot, especially with the vehicle-y parts and the scoop) and Space Marine (torso design, especially because of the wind shield) aesthetic. Also, the hand design is very snazzy. It also works pretty well as a reinterpretation of the original Digger Set. The only thing that I would might consider to change is the color ratio. I get the impression that at least from certain angles that D1G-R is more black than yellow (which is the opposite of the original Digger's colors), though I think that mostly stems from the legs, where it does make sense to thave these predominantly black as they probably represent the treads of the original set. In other words, maybe a few more yellow bits? But really, this is a minor nitpick. In other words, if this would be a proper LEGO set, I would probably buy it.
  6. These redesigns look pretty neat! I like the Mini-Mecha-Vibe they generate.

[Digital Render] Toa Komas (Friend's OC)

That's a pretty cool build. I also like the head. I'm usually sceptical of brick-built heads, but this one manages to pull of the Bionicle aesthetic very well.

Alright, I'll start digging my archives for old pics then. Which also reminds me, I took pics for a few more Nexo Knight sets I haven't reviewed yet either... should get around to write these too, heh.

    LEGO Nexo Knights 2018

I wouldn't mind if they go fully spaaace with Nexo Knights, I wouldn't expect it, but still, I'd be happy if it happens.
  10. I can't find the mirror nor any pics at lego_peru. I literally only find old or unrelated stuff.

    Future of constraction

As far as we know, no. CCBS seems to be limited to Star Wars, and there's nothing else in regards of constraction going on.
  12. Dang, I missed the pics. I'd be particulary interested in Boba and Vader, so if someone could send me links...
  13. @chubbybots2 I'm pondering about using ReBrick in the future, but I never really gotten around to it. Maybe I'll also just settle for flickr and start making my albums there public (so far I only used flickr for my EB reviews, so I had no need to make these pics public). Which reminds me that I still need to set up a proper photo box. I think I have already most of the materials I'll need here...

    (MOC) Skull Knight

@chubbybots2 I'm also somewhat clueless when it comes to part names. I believe the name "Bad Robot Arm" was used on Pick-a-Brick back then, probably because of the origins of the part (as the antagonist robots in Exo-Force used it as their arms). Since I don't MOC in a group with other people, I never needed to learn proper names for pieces - until I started to interact more with other AFOLs here on EB and MOCpages. Also, me being German (and therefore referring to a lot of parts under German names - except for the ball joints, for some odd reason) didn't helped there either, heh. But yeah, I think they'd give off the idea of an armored glove better than the parts you currently use for the fingers.

I think I took pictures of a few Hero Factory Sets that I forgot writing reviews for. I could probably cook up a review or two, assuming there's actually any interest on a set that's numerous years old by now.
  16. @chubbybots2Thanks for the nice words, I'll keep in mind to upload it once it's done (I've been razer lazy with sharing my MOCs recently anyway, mostly due to how MOCpages became a bit of a hassle to work with on my old PC). And don't worry, I'll go with ball joints, as I never really worked with click joints, even though I began to work in a scale smaller than Bionicle in recent years.

    (MOC) Skull Knight

@chubbybots2 Sure, here's the Bricklink entry. I think you could also get it at the Lego Shop via Pick a Brick, though I'm not certain if they still have it there.
  18. Pretty neat! The Legs are my favourite part of this build, I might try to replicate the knees on a MOC of mine.

    [MOC] PAIGE

Heh, I didn't even knew this piece was available in grey, nor that it actually has the right dimensions for the Mixel Joint. That's very useful to know!

    (MOC) Skull Knight

He looks pretty awesome, though I think the hands could need some work. I'd recommend the "Bad Robot" Arm for the fingers. Aside from that minor nitpick though, it's an amazing MOC.

    [MOC] PAIGE

I see. And you're welcome. I instantly liked PAIGE for her smooth and curvy design, which gives her a very humanoid look (which is quite an achievement in Lego IMHO), and now I just took a second look at PAIGE to check all the details in her build. I think my favourite parts of her are the back and the hip section, as both have very nice shaping (while in the latters case also still a decent range of articulation). Also, one question... what's the piece you used for the ball-jointed toes?

Voltron & Ship in Bottle IDEAS approved

Oh... silly me. I probably should've researched how those things are built before writing this post. Regardless, my second point still stands: TLG might change the pitched model, so it's still possible that the actual set will allow to pull up the masts like you do with the real deal.
  23. ZORK64

    [MOC] PAIGE

That's a very cool-looking MOC! But is it based on a real robot?

Voltron & Ship in Bottle IDEAS approved

Regarding the "Cheat Set" debate, I'd like to mention that the legitimate way of building a ship in a bottle is probably not feasible to recreate in Lego simply due to how you build with Lego: Lego bricks and studs need to be pressed together with some amount of force to connect, same applies to hinges. Therefore, building the bottle first and assembling the ship inside the bottle is probably simply not possible in Lego. And assuming it is actually possible... who's to say that the set itself doesn't actually allow you to go that route? I mean, we haven't seen the actual set yet. Maybe TLG changes a few things about the pitched design to actually allow for this kind of assembly for all those ship building purists?

    LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion

I bought a few of these packs for the tri-shield piece (even though I don't have any ideas for how to utilize them yet, it's just a very cool looking piece) and to use some as sorts of emblems for other MOCs, like robots or transformers. Though I have to admit, the latter purpose is kinda tricky, as some of the shield designs are a tad too silly for that.
