42029 - Pick up Truck Discussion Topic

Recommended Posts

I was hesitant at first but then decided to get the red truck. I must reckon I'm pleasantly surprised. Th variety and sheer number of technic parts is one of a kind. If you have not already, this is a must have set. I also saw a couple of parts that have been absent from technic for many years.

Oh yes, and for those of you 'detail oriented', there is one inconsistency. The manual shows the old engine block (with slot) whereas the actual parts are from new molds i.e., without the slot.

It's time to replenish suspension and everything red parts. This makes it a very welcome addition to any collection.

That looks to be designed for red panels and the new double pin-axle part. it was used everywhere.

I would say 42000 is in a larger scale than 42029

Those 5x11 red panels were super scare and expensive before this release, so it has been great to get a fresh stock of parts and the prices have come down alot,

I think 42028 is also very good for parts, for €40 you get a heck of alot and a good variety!

I don't mean to sound like a dick, but is this topic really necessary? There are severeal topics on this model already, do we really need one just pointing out the value of this as a parts pack? Couldn't just write that in the 42029 discussion topic?

You're right ... some of us need to learn how to use the search function ... :)

MODs, please merge this topic with one of those already started on 42029.

Really like the small version a lot, this is my current MOD for the 42029.

Still need to decide what to do with the section in between the cab and the bin..
