Lego Technic 42009 Mobil Crane MK2 (Evo1) Replica by dokludi FINISHED

Very impressive as usual! I've reverse engineered a couple models before, but it's a LONG process for me. I usually have MANY more pictures to work with too. Awesome job!

Great work as usual  . Now you would have to do something more difficult, as your own MOC or copy some really complicated one.

@ dokludi: It looks nice! By chance, do you have the 8421 Mobile Crane set for a side-by-side comparison with the 42009 replica?

This is simply amazing!

Now you don't have to spend 220 dollars like the rest of us

That is very cool, had to be a fun build considering you had only pictures to go by. I,m with DLuders, be interesting to have a side by side pic of it and the 8421

Well done sir!!!

Do you have an estimate as to how many parts you used? It would be a good benchmark to see how close your build technique is when Lego releases an official part count.

I am only saying this as you may have been more efficient with your build (same result less parts) with your fantastic skills.

Again good job!

Nice work! And good to see that it can be built without any new parts.

BTW: Are the black panels on the end not available in yellow or didn't you have any left over?

I am really curious about the parts inventory to compare it with 8421.

Can you make one if you break down the model? (if ever...)

Now for the most important question; what do you think of it? Do you like it?

There are the same panels on the doors, so I would assume he ran out.

Great job dokludi!

Is that really how far the boom extends though? because the extension is a bit pathetic. :hmpf_bad:

Superb!!

What are EVO1 & EVO2 by the way? Are they A & B model?

EVO1 is the first version (evolution one).

EVO2 will be the second version after seeing more pics from the New York toy fair.

Well done dokludi.

Just a quick question. In the video from the Nuremberg Toyfair, you can see that the superstructure is sitting kind of wobbly on the turntable. Did you experience the same with your replica or did you fix that directly when building it?
