The story of Dave

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I bought the advent calendar and thought I should do something special with it, as it is the first time anything like this has been made for castle fans.

I present to you (4 days too late though  ) : the story of Dave.

Day I

Come forwards and listen, to the tale of Dave

for he wasn't rich, he was still very brave!

He lived in a box, a box that was sealed

a weird little box, a calendar it seemed!

And although the number of languages was very very much,

the designers of the box forgot to write it in Dutch...

imgp0611.jpg

On the front were a lot of numbers, counting down to one day,

and on the ground was a map with wich one could play.

imgp0613.jpg

Then, on the first day the first box was torn,

imgp0616.jpg

and the hero of our story, brave Dave was born!

imgp0618.jpg

In his hand he had a spear with wich he could thrust,

but the only thing he saw was a lot of white dust...

imgp0619.jpg

Day II

On the second day in the second box, a little bag was found

imgp0621.jpg

and for no obvious reason, it just fell down on the ground.

imgp0622.jpg

The moment he saw it, he thrusted his spear,

imgp0623.jpg

and inside the bag he found lots of playwear.

imgp0624.jpg

So he started building as fast as he could,

imgp0625.jpg

For the bricks were made of stone, not out of wood.

imgp0626.jpg

imgp0627.jpg

imgp0628.jpg

imgp0629.jpg

After it was finished, it appeared Dave was smart,

for now he atleast had something to guard!

Day 3,4,5 are coming tomorrow, it's a busy week :classic:

Nice job! This is indeed creative and nice way of presenting the advent calender in style. I did once for EB News Reviews earlier back In Sep though. Click it if you wish to view (Contain spoilers).

I will be looking forward to the rest of your story.

DAY III

On the third day it was the box with number three,

on wich a lovely lady Dave could see

imgp0631.jpg

Sadly the love he could feel

was just for a pile of steel.

imgp0632.jpg

He threw his weapon in despair

imgp0633.jpg

and the bag he hit had few pieces but lots of air...

imgp0634.jpg

He put al the pieces onto a stack,

imgp0635.jpg

and they appeared to form an armour rack.

imgp0636.jpg

imgp0637.jpg

He assembled the helmet, and as much as he wanted him,

imgp0638.jpg

he, a simple soldier, had to stay loyal to the feodal system...

imgp0640.jpg

DAY IV

On the fourth day, the fourth box brought fear,

as it contained a sign saying death was near.

imgp0642.jpg

Nevertheless Dave opened the bag as he had done before,

imgp0643.jpg

and scattered the pieces of bone onto the floor.

imgp0644.jpg

He assembled him as good as possible,

imgp0645.jpg

and ended by placing onto his body, the skull.

imgp0646.jpg

Dave looked at it, it's eyes filled with flare,

and wondered is there something in his skull except air?

imgp0647.jpg

The skeleton was alive, and hands were shaken as one,

for peace between two different castle races was become.

imgp0649.jpg

End for now, the rest hopefully tomorrow :) Thanks for the comments BTW :D

Brilliant!! You should put them on BS in order so folks there can read (and see) the rhyming and building fun!

I wish I got this calender so I could recreate Dave's quest.

"The skeleton was alive, and hands were shaken as one,

for peace between two different castle races was become." Most epic line ever. I can't wait to see the rest (especially Dave's reaction to the busty maiden).

Is this the beginning of a craze of rhyming poetic reviews? Oh God I hope so... Great Work!

Really a nice idea you had there.

But maybe you should move all into your first post, and edit it?

Yes I love this too, but I understand it is a lot of work...

Still something funny, I might do it next year myself if I get an advent calendar.

Putting the pictures on BS right now (took forever to find a good zipping programme), a lot of pictures though

From now one the pictures tell the story, and I'll put the gallery here when it's online. :classic:

(well the reason is I'd need several pages of the thread to post all the pictures and there is no need for words  )

Anyway, there is a bonus 25th day
