Guys... Started to build this set. The instructions asked me to test. Guess what... all 6 L angular motors do not work. The test in control+ doesn't recognise them.

I verified with an older angular motor that the new hubs are ok. They got the firmware update through powered up before the test. The new L angular motor in return do not work on any hub, older ones and new ones.

I'm so disappointed. At that price point it is hard to accept something like this. One or two maybe. But all if them?

I'm not aware of any possible fix for the motors. But if there is, let me know.

Will contact TLG soon.

If none of them work, I suspect a problem with the program. Try deleting/reloading. Also make sure your phone is connecting.

In control+ the hub connects. It just didn't prompt for the firmware update. I did that via powered up. In powered up with the hub being connected, I built a very simple code with a slider to change the power if a motor. All of my older ones worked. Only these 6 motors from the Liebherr didnt work. I test with older and these two new hubs. But sure if reinstalling would really help.

Also when other motors work with the new hubs?

Four months passed after release of this set. I am surprised that I can't barely see any of cranes in second hand market. Does it mean that sales are low or people tend to keep it despite it's size. I had to buy small table for it.

Hello All,

I'm planning to update my original 42146 set to match with the real LR1300 with adjustable derrick boom, floating derrick ballast with height adjustment (with cable, not enough long actuators are available). I have a friend who is going to do the programming in powered up so the crane will self balance itself, changing the radius of derrick ballast, but keeping the main boom at the same location so 3 winches paralelly. According to him based on the available functions it can be done, only concern is the acting speed of regulating circuit due to everything runs on ios or android via bluetooth.

Wondering how would it be possible to flip the turn table drive and using the bottom hub for driwing all four sprockets of chain. I guess without redesigning the turntable mechanism completely it is not possible.

Anyway I built up the whole set in Bricklink Studio, with my own custom parts of the boom but since today morning all of the missing parts are available in the software.

@Lego Tom How is reposting the same picture you literally uploaded 1 post before helps the questions @vanczakp asked?

It doesn't. Because I loaded the picture with my desk top but didn't refresh my lap top browser, the laptop didn't show that I had uploaded the picture or made the post. I have since deleted it. One of the disadvantages of using a lap top on the road.

First time I’ve seen this set on sale in the US. $150 off isn’t bad

https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Liebherr-Rewarding-Incredible-Including/dp/B0BSRFQLD6/ref=pd_aw_ci_mcx_mh_mcx_views_0?pd_rd_w=Ur1gM&content-id=amzn1.sym.0e5c7f8b-153f-45ea-a1fd-9585fc3a0cd5%3Aamzn1.symc.2b06b7e8-a86c-4e6e-b02c-90d58278f4f1&pf_rd_p=0e5c7f8b-153f-45ea-a1fd-9585fc3a0cd5&pf_rd_r=1B68MKZ33WN3X7T3K49R&pd_rd_wg=DJ5c4&pd_rd_r=5f3b754e-809c-45c9-a5cd-012004595a1f&pd_rd_i=B0BSRFQLD6

EDIT: I was excited to see a sale, but looking closer... I am not sure that is genuine LEGO.  The amazon "store" is The LEGO Store, but the seller is KITSTORE.  Looking back at all the other LEGO I have bought on Amazon, the seller was Amazon.com Services LLC.   Another giveaway to me is the title of the item, that is not a normal description for LEGO set on amazon.  I am now a little hesitant to make a purchase.

Since I made the post, stock has gone down by 1... so if one of you bought it, please let us know if it is genuine or not.

I see 5 available, but im living in Europe. 650usd  is expensiver then the 470€ price at the german amazon.com (but same like what we have in Hungary due to the worst inflation in EU so Lego prices considering this)

But I guess it is manufactured in Europe so everything what goes to overseas includes customos

With all due respect I see no similiarity if you do not count the extension which is not rocket science. Get a better knowledge about how the real lr13000 works with suspended derrick ballast, then read again what I have written about the automatization etc.

Merry Christmas everyone! After not building the Technic flagship on Christmas day for the past three years (a new record for me!) I gave in to this one for a decent price and saved it for today. If we ignore the already much discussed cons of control+, I gotta say, this so far has probably been one of the most enjoyable Technic builds since the studded era ended in 2003! I can only imagine how repetitive the boom sections would have been without the new boom pieces so that's a big thumbs up for those! And the thing is solid, absolutely built like a tank. Yes the price is high but at a good discount it feels not too bad for what you get.

Please dont get offended, it wasnt my intention. I truly recommend to observe the real crane for future improvement. For example please do not change the way of cable routing at the top of main boom and rotation of jib boom. The spanner should connect to the top of main boom like in the original set. Of course it is just a lego and you cant apply way too much load but every connection has its mechanical/statical reason :)

This is an interesting thing to hear from you! I suspected it could be a great build for an AFOL who knows their way around Technic, but it's nice to have confirmation on it! Now if I only could get it with good discount (at the moment the best I can get is 500€) and then get some more boom pieces along with longer strings...

If you can ignore the whole control+ thing it's a actually pretty great model. Ideally, you'd want a discount roughly equal to the cost of the two hubs at least, then you don't feel like you're paying for them! @kbalage has a good price breakdown on it in part 2 of his review.

What is the "problem" with the control+ ? I have no issues with mine. Am I missing something?
