Ah, that (supposedly) red Ferrari with 1677 pieces is where my Primary excitement starts for 2021

42120 should be Hovercraft, if I follow his list...

Looking forward the Jeep Wrangler and Ferrari.....

But which means 2022 Ultimate Supercar will not Ferrari?

Wow! I'm seeing six "cars" in total. This is a clear hint to me that Technic keeps on sacrificing interesting mechanics for looks. There was a reason why they used to produce lots of machinery in the past: They do things other than just drive around. Technic is one of the top-selling series and I'm sure they have good economic reasons for going into that direction. But my interpretation is different: If Technic cars that look good really sell that well, they should finally consider reintroducing Model Team or Racers. The Technic team could then focus on a smaller number of mechanically interesting sets. That might be a win-win.

I don't want the only interesting set in terms of functions being a small excavator for 39,- USD.

Agree with the comments about the technic cars, it does feel like we need less sets but of better technical quality

I wonder what the 30465 Technic Polybag could be?

Maybe the polybag will contain a Powered Up dumb battery box ;-)

Looks like the two pullbacks are gonna be monster trucks. You know what that means - MONSTER TRUCK TYRES! :excited:

Looking forward to the compact loader and excavator the most.

All those cars, any realistic transmissions in any of them?!

Also glad I'm not the only one lamenting the lack of pneumatics.

I do like the monster truck licenses though. They are only pull backs so they'll probably not have new tyres. But combined with the recent planetary reduction hubs from 42099, the licenses open doors for a big monster of a monster truck in future!

Thanks. Fixed it.

Also fun fact to mention: The hovercraft is actually called “hovercraft for rescue operations” in Germany, according to Promobricks.

Wow, what a big first wave!

A polybag is a first I think in this theme

Great idea to licence the power backs and give us some proper monster trucks. I hope they manage to give them some kind of suspension, it is after all a very important thing for monster trucks.

Jeep Wrangler sems to me like in same scale as the Corvette was back in 2019

Judging from the part number of mcLaren Senna GTR i'd say around same scale as the Dodge charger

42125 Ferrari seems to be a 1:10 model, same scale as the 42110, I'd expect a full working 4 speed, maybe even 8 speed gearbox, but without paddle shifters. I expect to see the mudguards from 42096 back, this time in red, using the wheels of 42110 with low profile tyres.

And it's nice we are getting pneumatics back and in a very cheap set, probably only 2 or 3 working pneumatic cylinders.

Most likely, yeah. I hope it includes new panels, like the RSR did.

But but I guess it wont be as simple as the 42096 right? I mean since it is 18+ it should have gearbox (minus the paddlers)

The excavator doesn't have pneumatics, according to the site you are referring to.

I would be glad to get a new pneumatic set for €39.99 though!

Same here. Again, nearly only fast things.... I am really disappointed. At least these are only the sets for january and march it seems.

"As the first last set on this list, we have the LEGO Technic 42121 hydraulic excavator. This yellow excavator is equipped with a crawler chassis and also comes with a B model for children from 8 years of age . Unfortunately, the name of the set has absolutely nothing to do with the function: The set comes without pneumatics and unfortunately of course without hydraulics .

Hopefully one day TLG will release a Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey that actually doesnt have anything to do with Bell or Boeing either.
