I still haven't watched it, I dislike how Ahsoka is alive during the OT and post Endor time period, she should've stayed dead in rebels. With that said, I'll still give it a fair shake and watch S1 before s2 comes out. Also where are the big three during all of this? Seems weird to have these major events happening without them, but it does sounds exactly like something Disney would do. Quote

I know people regularly cite the fifth episode of the show as a highlight because of the Anakin parts and whilst I agree they’re great, the scene that best encapsulates the show for me is the end of that episode when Ahsoka communes with the Purrgil and they begin the jump to hyperspace. It’s one of the best moments in Star Wars, period, for me, especially with Kevin Kiner’s score (The Hyperspace Jump). But yeah, let’s hope for some coverage of Season 2 this summer. As always it will be amusing seeing how every other company will be pushing merch for the show come December / January whilst Lego will remain silent. Again, it really shouldn’t be this impossible to dedicate two set slots to the show. Exactly. And it's not just that, but the fact that it has the guts to add to the lore, and in a way that feels like it adds to the franchise rather than corrupts like some other content. Bokken Jedi, finally seeing some legends-style Dark Jedi, the concept of training a non-force-sensitive to follow jedi teachings, everything about peridia, he concept of the Dathomir Witches originating from outside the galaxy, etc. Honestly I almost wish they hadn't done so much with Anakin because so many people just think about the show as "ANAKIN RETURN SHOW". His scenes aren't bad but Sabine, Baylan, Shin, Ezra, and Thrawn are all so much more interesting to me. I agree that the purrgil moment is excellent. It will be interesting to see if the other merch companies cover it. If they don't, we can assume disney just failed to keep people updated on the scheduling. But if they do, it's a huge misstep by lego. This is by far the most lego-set-able of the live-action shows. 44 minutes ago, Darth_Bane13 said: I still haven't watched it, I dislike how Ahsoka is alive during the OT and post Endor time period, she should've stayed dead in rebels. I'm actually able to answer both of these for you: Ahsoka's plot armor is actually hinted at being an in-universe thing. There is a reason she's still around despite actually straight up dying in TCW and Rebels. It will in part depend on how they reveal the mystery, of course, but they've at least planted enough seeds that there is something more going on than just Filoni favoritism. The events of the show are fairly small-scale. In effect, they're trying to rescue a rebel commander and potentially stop an imperial grand admiral from returning, and until they're out of communication with the wider galaxy it's widely considered unlikely that either of them can be retrieved. Much like in legends, the wider rebellion isn't all that worried about Thrawn's return until it becomes apparent that the real Thrawn really is back and actively has the numbers to threaten the republic at large. And while we don't see Han Luke or Leia, and I will remain non-specific, their influence is felt and at least one of them is monitoring the events of the show. Quote

Oh shoot, I just looked it up more closely and you might be right... could have been part of an elaborated April's Fools prank. The minifigure still looks pretty legit to me and perfectly in line what modern Lego would do with it, but you never know these days. Oh well... that's a slight bummer if true. But better be a little disappointed now than closer to the supposed launch when it would have hit harder. Alright, the next german LSW Magazine will include the 332nd Clone Trooper. As much as I can appreciate the fact the minifigure streak just keeps on to continue, this constant barrage of getting Troopers left and right, while having to witness Battle Packs going to the gutters right now, is sticking out like a sore thumb to me. Look how excited I am? Okay. Wanna see it again? Edited 21 hours ago by BrickPrick Quote

I didn't like Ahsoka S1, therefore the trailer didn't do anything for me even it looks good. Still I will watch S2 and hope for an improvement. Edited yesterday at 09:12 PM by TheScaryDoor Quote

I'm not sure any explanation for Ahsoka sticking around this long will suffice for me. If she's alive during the OT why doesn't she ever help the Rebel Alliance? She's powerful enough to defeat Maul, Inquisitors and go toe to toe with Vader, she'd be a huge asset for the Alliance. That makes sense for now, until the events get larger scale... Thinking about it more, I can overlook this one since they'd need to cast new actors or deepfake stuff which I'm not too keen on. Quote

Honestly larger scale is the reason people not showing up in the OT makes sense to me anyway. A Galaxy is a damn big place. Personally I'd prefer recasting to deepfakes. On the set front, if they did do Ahsoka season 2 sets (which unfortunately aren't a given) I hope they'd do a moulded Loth-Cat Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Watched the trailer a few more times. And EckhartsLadder’s analysis video. It looks like the NR shipyard and ships that the drill ships are being deployed on are gladiator class star destroyers. Which is awesome. And actually work really well for keeping a identifiable imperial shape and suiting Thrawn’s needs for quick deployment task force. If you need convincing have a look at the shot with the TIE bombers and you’ll see in the background that the NR ships they’re being dropped on have bridge structure and turbolaser emplacements that match the gladiator. I hope we get a gladiator set that scales with the 2024 ISD. A stormtrooper on Rhydo wrote this about the TIE Avenger (#478 of waiting for the Lego TIE Avenger’s rapture) TIE to TIE, flying very close Barely breathing, almost comatose Wall to wall, troopers hypnotised And they're stepping lightly Hang each night in TIE Avenger Back-to-back, sacroiliac Spineless movement and a wild rebel attack Face to face, sightless helmets And it's droid popping 24-hour shooting in TIE Avenger Fleet 7 Thrawny told me everybody's fly TK spinnin', I said, "My, my" Flash is fast, Flash is cool Jedi not liked, all are for rule of two And you don't stop, sure not a sure shot Go out to the hangar lot And you get in your ship and fly real far And you fly all night, and then you see a light And it comes right down, and it lands on the ground And out comes a woman from Peridia And you try to go faster, but he's got a blaster And he shoots you dead, and he eats your head And then you're in the woman from Peridia You go out at night, eatin' ships You eat Landing Craft, Lambdas, too ISDs and Nus And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' ships Then, when there's no more ships, you go out at night And eat up bars where the people meet Visor to visor, dance helmet to helmet One to one, trooper to trooper Dance toe to toe, don't move too slow 'Cause the woman from Peridia is through with ships She’s eatin' bars, yeah, wall to wall Console to console, hall to hall She’s gonna eat 'em all TIE Avenger, be pure Take a tour through the trash compactor Don't strain your brain, paint a train You'll be singin' in the rain Said, don't stop to punk rock Pilot to Pilot, body muscular Seismic charge, bite the jugular Wing to wing, Umbaran technology And a holographic ladder No sign of bad luck in TIE Avenger Well, now you see what you wanna be Just have your party on holo TV 'Cause the woman from Peridia Won't eat up bars where the holo TV's on Now he's gone back up to space Where he won't have a hassle with the stormtrooper race And you hit and flop, and you don't stop Just blast it, not a sure shot 'Cause the woman from Peridia stopped eatin' ships And eatin' bars, and now he only eats electrostaffs, get up Quote
Clone OPatra Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago It would be madness if they completely skipped Ahsoka S2. It's slightly concerning that there are no rumours, but given the show has been delayed multiple times and LEGO seems cool to release TV-related sets long after their source material aired (Cobb Vanth vs Cad Bane, Off-World Sandcrawler as examples), there could well be sets in January 2028. Ahsoka season 1 for me unfortunately sounds a lot better on paper than it actually ended up. The execution was incredibly mid on so many levels - pacing, uninventiveness with the "new galaxy", mysteries being so mysterious that they're ultimately uninteresting, obvious dull volume shots, Ahsoka being too little like Ahsoka, to name a few. I so wish that it was animated like it was originally supposed to be. They were developing an animated Rebels sequel show, which they dropped, but this is absolutely a Rebels sequel show. However I understand that the animated shows just don't have the same cachet to them despite being far superior to the majority of the live action shows. It's also kind of a weird feeling seeing this S2 trailer. It looks epic and galaxy-defining, yet it's a streaming show set in a weird in-between time period. They should've done this as a series of films with grand scale and tight pacing. Quote

I know it’s apples and oranges, but it amuses me how they’d rather prioritise ideas like the Iron Falcon before producing tie-in sets to a major show with so many ideas to draw from. As much as I presume the Iron Falcon is from an upcoming animated special (possibly a Rebuild the Galaxy Season 3), how that takes precedence over something like Ahsoka S2 leaves me scratching my head. Since I always get everything on day 1, the busiest months are definitely January, June, and August. Some years I actually did take a week or two off from work, but not this year Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) One thing that gives me hope for Ahsoka S2 sets is the fact Enoch‘s still missing. That alone doesn‘t guarantee anything, but the common assumption was that they would save him for later sets, and they still might do exactly that. The fact we got a BP just last year also proves that they have faith in this particular show And if you can‘t tell, Ahsoka is my favourite out of all the shows. As @Mandalorianknight says, it‘s the most SW-feeling show out of all of them and just good ol’ fun with cool characters, great action, awesome character moments, and nifty lore expansions. And S2 looks even better! Andor has a better story and dialogue of course, but it‘s nowhere near as fun Also: Oh no, some Smart Brick sets got delayed or cancelled! Anyway, where are my Ahsoka S2 rumours?! Also also: Prepare for a full-scale CloneCommando99-style epic crusade if it doesn‘t pan out. I also think a lot of the mystical and otherworldly aspects of Peridea will actually be explored via the temples / catacombs / etc. on the planet, especially in the upcoming season. I definitely think this is based on an hitherto unknown animated special for next year. The set seems to mash up both universes whilst the comic that was announced is merely a crossover (still a cool idea). Very curious about three Smart Play sets being delayed. I would assume it’s because of how front-loaded January-April already is (19 sets in total I think?) and not because the universe has recognised what a waste of set slots they are. Either that or it’s just a complicated release pattern because of next year being the debut for this year’s Smart Play sets for remaining territories that didn’t get them in 2026. But yeah, 19 sets across the first four months of the year is an incredibly high number, it’s nice that so many of them are playsets too. I’m getting ahead of myself but I really want to know what next August’s lineup is going to be, and I sure hope even more set slots aren’t going to be wasted on Marvel x Star Wars. @BrickBob Studpants I’m similar to you, I tend to buy most of the sets I want on release day but it takes me ages to get around to actually building them!
