They do look printed, but I would think the printing would scratch off around the arm joint if it were. And if it is printing it really looks solid, usually the colors end up looking a bit thin when you print a solid color over a solid color. Perhaps by molded it means two colors of plastic molded together. It is definitely impressive. I can't wait to find out the process behind it.

In the video, he specifically says:

"We have molded sleeves and shorts in the minifig."

He mentions both the sleeves and shorts in the same sentence, which would imply that both are molded. I can accept that the arms are two pieces but the shorts definitely look printed. In the end, I bet both are simply painted but with much better opaque paint.

Wow that's a really nice price for this set. Just under 8 cents per piece. Plus it has all those unique head molds. I have to say though, Marge, Lisa, and Bart look wrong. Why do they all have sleepy looking eyes and duck faces? Ned and Homer look by far the best, which is ironic considering everyone complained about them when they were first spotted. I really like the modular home, but overall I will pass on this as I am not a big Simpsons fan at all.

So it looks like we will be getting a bathroom, and what appears to be a very small shower, the excitement in me is beyond the roof. I also noted that we will be getting a bigger hallway than expected, I can't wait to see brickfilms of this set, get to work people! I look forward to what this set brings and I thank everyone who has posted news for this set, probably the best this line will ever bring!

Some NPUs and good techniques for my Creator houses. I just hope that Maggie is one of the CMFs--I could use her (with a different head) as my own baby (whose sigfig is currently much less accurate)

I'm so impressed by how well the house is done. All the details that were added just put this set on my want list. The minifigs can use a little improvement but I've already overlooked that.

A must have! Looks like really good value for money with the size, piece count and amazing interiors! The suburbs in my modular city will soon get crazier...

This is for me, apart from the modulars and possibly the big Sydney Opera House, the best set in a long time. The design is clean and very close to the original, the minifigures look more than decent to me (it's not like the characters haven't got cartoonish proportions in the show) and look at that interior. There are obviously many stickers, but they really add a lot to the design, take Bart's room, for example! So much character there.

And finally - those doors in an opaque colour that isn't white.

Probably Marcos' best set yet. Congratulations, if you read this!

Nice, will have to put some money aside for this, its definitely being released earlier than I thought. I am a little disappointed that Lisa has no saxophone, maybe the CMF version will have one though...

I think the minifigures are more well made than people have been saying. They're good enough. Maybe not perfect but still of a good quality. I think I'll buy this set, maybe two so I can easily make a more minifigure scale house with the proper rooms.

The build looks very good and the figures look good. Makes me want to start watching the Simpsons again... Maybe that's the whole idea. Being attacked by nostalgia.

Probably Marcos' best set yet. Congratulations, if you read this!

And he has a lot of stiff competition within the great sets he's created thus far for TLG. He is definitely one of my favorite designers.

I wonder if they'll ever turn him loose on a modular...

I'll be at the LEGO store to pick it up first thing! 2/28 most likely.

I just love everything about this set! The playability and the value is great.

Here's a record of notable rare or new parts that I'm digging. It's going to be a fun build for sure:

  • Lighter flesh 6x10 plate, doors
  • orange ladder
  • Is the sofa dark orange? Doesn't look brown
  • Cool Yellow 1x2 tiles
  • MdAzure 2x2 tiles
  • Fl-Yel-Orange 3x3 round plate
  • Pink doors
  • White / gray inverse domes :D
  • Bt-Lt-Blue jumpers
  • Md-Dark-Flesh 1x2 slope
  • Orange, pink, purple bits and pieces...

It looks like they mean the two colored plastics are injected/molded into one part with precision - There's no way they could get paint so cleanly between his legs otherwise (short legs) - so sort of like the pieces that fade from one color plastic to another...only here very well done - I wonder if it's a different type of plastic?

Nice to see the official pics. Im sure this set will make alot of people happy! The house is done well. I probably won't have a budget for this and metalbeards ship. As it stands its the ship for me. Pass sadly!

I do feel like the minifigures could use some more outlines to help them look cartoony. Oh, and I "fixed" the eyes. Maybe the blind bags will have good eyes. ;p

(made in 3 minutes and rushed)

Do I spy a car that can sit two minifigs side by side.......OMG ! Lego's designers have finally built a realistic kind of vehicle (even though it's a cartoon one  ).

It has every room with such perfect detailing......but why has Bart a pink music system.....must be Lisa's.....he didn't do, you can't prove a thing !

Could this be one of best Lego sets ever.......the first review might tell us.
