Siegfried Posted June 21, 2009 (edited) It's Domo-Kun! Don't worry; he might look scary, but he just wants a hug. Domo loves to eat potatoes. Domo salutes! I'm not sure why... he tends to daydream a lot. Domo and his large soft friend. Domo and his new friend. Domo stressed! Careful; he tends to fart... Domo is searching for adventure! For the curious, I was inspired to make the because of the 8971 Aerial Defense Unit review. Edited July 17, 2011 by Rufus Indexed
Raven Brickroft Posted June 21, 2009 Great work. Though his arm is a little too long. Still~ Hehe. But I "REALLY" have to ask? What -is- Domo-kun? I always saw him as a chicken nugget.
Bonaparte Posted June 21, 2009 I still don't understand why someone would make something like this But it looks good, funny, well build!
WhiteFang Posted June 21, 2009 Didn't know you are interested in such stuff. Never doubt the taste of the Walrus. It's a nice moc, especially when its look similar to the real one. It has real posable features.
Batbrick Posted June 21, 2009 This is so cute! I love it! But really, I've seen this character before, where is it from? To the Batbrickmobile!
Captain Green Hair Posted June 21, 2009 I think it's a potato figure, to promote eating potatoes to children or something? It's a nice resemblance of the real thing, well done Siegfried!
Raven Brickroft Posted June 22, 2009 This is so cute! I love it! But really, I've seen this character before, where is it from?To the Batbrickmobile! If I'm not mistaken, he's the mascot of NHK.
Zepher Posted June 22, 2009 This is fantastically done, and looks like a great lot of fun to play with!
cole Posted June 22, 2009 I'm pretty sure Domo-kun is a forign cartoon. I've whatched it a couple times, comes on on teletoon in the mornings somtimes. The moc is pretty good, the mouth is perfect, but the legs could use some work.
Whittleberry Posted June 22, 2009 I guess I should post a pic of my Domo that I made for the last MUGS meeting:
baby Posted June 22, 2009 Cool, this looks very similar with the real one.

Commander Flash Posted June 23, 2009 Although i'm still not sure who this little guy is, he is neat. My favorite is the one with his new walrus friend

Siegfried Posted June 25, 2009 Didn't know you are interested in such stuff. You'd be surprised! Currently I'm watching Ouran High School Host Club. Though his arm is a little too long. Still~ Hehe. really great MOC it's looks like real one! IMO Arms are too thin... I'll keep it in mind. I made the arms thicker and shorter at first, but then I decided he needed an elbow! The moc is pretty good, the mouth is perfect, but the legs could use some work. Actually I wanted to but I didn't have enough pieces... I think it's a potato figure, to promote eating potatoes to children or something? Looks like someone forgot to flush. If I'm not mistaken, he's the mascot of NHK. Three good stories, but while the answer by Raven Brickroft is less funny, it does happen to be true. (Didn't anyone notice the link?)
The Who Posted June 26, 2009 Three good stories, but while the answer by Raven Brickroft is less funny, it does happen to be true. Interesting...Although the design of the mascot is rather crappy, I'd say. (pun)
Siegfried Posted June 26, 2009 Interesting...Although the design of the mascot is rather crappy, I'd say. (pun) ...says the man with a name based on dirty dried mucus. (I think Domo is cute!)
Luke McAwesome Posted June 26, 2009 (I think Domo is cute!) Agreed. He's so small, and cute, and seems like he could destroy the world with a snap of his fingers.
Izzy Posted June 26, 2009 I think your Domo is gorgeous! If you ever feel like it Sieggy, you could make a Totoro.
user Posted June 26, 2009 I think your Domo is gorgeous! If you ever feel like it Sieggy, you could make a Totoro. That would be... AWESOME! Your Domo is really good I've always been a big fan of Domo (And Totoro)! Next you should make Kyshanna! Or Mario and the other bat!
Hinckley Posted June 30, 2009 This is a great articulated sculpture-like build. You would've done really well at the Model Builder Search. I always wondered what this thing was. You captured the proportions of the plush domo perfectly. Have you done more characters like this or is it your first? I still don't understand why someone would make something like this But it looks good, funny, well build! Some people might not understand guys who only build armies. Millacol88 Posted June 30, 2009 This is awesome. Very well articulated, and you got the proportions and shape just right. I vaguely recall seeing this guy before, but I don't know where. Some people might not understand guys who only build armies. Army-building is a noble pursuit (for people who lack building skills).
