The Nameless Assassin by MWardancer, auf Flickr Archdruid Nemesis Many conclude that Elves embody qualities of a forest on a friendly summer's day, such as hospitality, ageless wisdom, peacefulness and dignity. However, most who were unfortunate enough to travel a forest in a stormy night will agree that forests also have a threatening, archaic side. In times of war, Wood Elves tap the forests primal rage and direct them. The Archdruid is the key to the forest's dark powers. These vile creatures usually slumber in the harsh, barren parts of the forest. Once summoned, cold hatred makes them rise and move towards the enemy. A shell of wood hardened by the ages makes them virtually impenetrable to most of the weapons used by mortals. With claws as hard as steel they stab their enemies without mercy. Dryads move faster than their big brothers, the Tree Demons and they usually travel in groups. Fiérce was the first to be called, and she will be in a particularly bad mood until her younger sisters show up. So if something whispers and crackles in the woods tonight, better not suppose it is the forest fairy... 2. Hi all, my daughter and I have been building a new Elves Moc - it's taken some time but it's finally ready to share. Sorry about the cropping on some of the pictures - couldn't for the life of me figure out how else to get them to show the right way up Here's 'The Crystal University' A mini version of Naidas Ship - would have liked to have used the clamshell pieces instead of the discs, but they don't come in gold Crystal Cave - this was my daughters idea - she wanted the cave to be a classroom for the students. The Observatory was also my daughter's idea. View from the back. As with our previous MOC, I wanted this to be a playset as well as something pretty to look at. It's fairly sturdy, and the main structure can stand up to little fingers without much problem (not so sure about all the leaves ) Statue of the Goddess of Knowledge (although don't blink, just to be on the safe side )

  4. Hello Eurobricks! Here I present you a walker I made for my techno-fantasy project. It belongs to a technomagically advanced race called feans. Feanerys was once a prosperous planet inhabited by peaceful people. However, everything has changed when the armies of demons and their undead minions appeared. The feans desperately fought for years in forests and fungal swamps of Feanerys until their Queen decided to open a portal to another world and to leave the doomed homeland. And now they arrived on a new planet inhabited by humans, elves, dwarves and other races. They should unite with local population to make a last stand against the legions of Hell that are about to conquer the entire universe. Fean walkers were developed during the demon invasion on Feanerys and were based on civilian transport. Back in their world, they strode across forests and mushroom swamps and made sudden strikes at the invaders. Now one of these walkers serves in the squad of remaining survivors led by the Queen herself. The walker is painted in pastel pink and purple colors which are traditional for people of Feanerys: Its legs can turn and lift up: At the base of the walker there is a technomagical reactor which supplies the energy. The walker is armed with two cannons which fire ball-like projectiles: Within the projectiles there is hot plasma which is held by antithermal shell and powerful electromagical fields: Upon impact, the shell is torn apart, unleashing destruction on the target - for example - this giant undead spider: A fean pilot controls her walker with a control panel: The cockpit is protected by a windscreen, aided by technomagical force fields on the sides. The empty cockpit with a comfortable seat: The engine is located right behind the cockpit: Thank you for watching and reading! I hope you like this MOC! A bit more photos can be seen on my Flickr!
  5. Hi all, we've still got a way to go on our latest moc, but decided to have a bit of fun while we wait for bricklink orders to arrive. First attempt at anything like this, but we found it hilarious to make. Enjoy! (For anyone wondering, a Jammie Dodger is a kind of biscuit we have in the UK) (Edit: spelling)
  6. Hello! I had enough minidoll doubles, and I there's not much citizens in my elven kingdom. Sets present some locations, but when main heroes go out, that places look abandoned. So I made some new characters to fix that :) Here's from left to right: Kauri, elf of air. He is happy owner of Farran's precious head and huge violet dreads :) He is crew of airship and Skyra's assistant. Rina, wood elf in armor. I think she is warrior of forest and goblins make her very angry. She constantly keeps her eyes for Treetop Hideaway. Limi, wood elf. Just a peace inhabitant in village with Secret Marketplace :) May be she is a gardener or works in fruit shop :) Flaria, fire elf and powerful magician, lives in the village. At first I wanted to make a male elf, but male head looks not good with Aira's hair. Other views: I added some details with milliput, it's very handy for such work, it don't need baking for hardening. For painting I use Citadel colors. Feel free to share this images anywhere :) P.S. I don't sure if I post it in right place of the forum :( But all discussions about Elves are here so I decided to do this way.
  7. Okay, so I've decided to take a shot at building a small village setup for the Lego Elves stuff I've got. The idea is to have a partitioned-off area of my city (maybe two if I add a Shadow World section) accessible only via the 'magic portal', which contains buildings and builds from the Elves theme. Should be fun, right? But I've got a small problem when it comes to the music shop included in 41193 The Song of the Wind Dragon (read 'Wind Wyvern'). It's different to the other buildings in that it's built to be a 'floating island' area, and this I should reflected in the fact that it's built on white plates to represent clouds and on top of terrain that's elevated and slanted to seem like floating islands with the lower part not visible. Which raises a question; how am I supposed to integrate this with the land-based buildings? So I'm opening the field to anyone who's encountered a similar problem and might have a solution. Anyone?
  8. Windmill Workshop for Aira: Re-build and modification of Aira's Creative Workshop 41071, using parts only from Aira's Pegasus Sleigh 41077. Up high on a mountain top, partially hidden by clouds, she has a workshop to create wings for her fly -- using the wind power element. The windmill's wing-blades can be turned by using the wind power key -- found on the back above her workshop. She uses watchmaker's magnifying glass to make precise measurements and markings. She can practice using her new wings by landing on the key, or the tree where a special crystal grows below. See the crystal tree details and more images in the set on flickr, plus a video of the turned by the Wind Key! ~Enjoy~
  9. I ordered a few 2018 Lego Eleves sets from the US Toys-R-Us site earlier this week and received this one today. This is a fun little set and I think worth the $15 USD. One mini-doll (the titular Emily Jones herself) and one of the new creature molds, Vespe the bat. Also includes one of the new(er?) spider molds. Didn’t take long to build, at 149 pieces, but packs a lot of play value into a small package. A surprise to me was the lack of a sticker sheet; NO STICKERS here, everything is a printed piece. Emily Jones is what we’ve come to expect and she includes the separate amulet piece introduced last year (a spare is also included, but not featured with my pics). Different prints for her outfit but the face and hair are the same as last year. Vespe the bat is pretty cute and a neat mold. Smaller than the goblins but still packed with personality. I’m looking forward to having a small army of these. The cave build is sufficient. Lots of the colorful and whimsical touches we’ve come to expect from the Elves world but different enough from previous locales to set it apart. As seen in pics, the top portion of the cave separates into a little flyer that shoots disks from the front. It’s neat! One thing I didn’t notice at first was the inclusion of a bed for Vespe on the wall; very cool! The packaging does a nice job of showing off the rest of the features so I won’t drag this out any longer. Probably the most anticipated part of this set is the buildable Lumia The Eagle. It’s definitely a very simple, but creative build. Not quite as articulated as I’d prefer, using clips instead of ball joints, but serviceable. The colors look great and the printed eye pieces are very welcome, as they line up perfect and you don’t need to worry about a cockeyed bird due to misplaced stickers. I really love the Elves theme and I’m really excited to see where it goes. I’ve included pics from the end of the manual and I think the Elvendale map gives us a couple of clues to a possible summer wave.

  12. Hey everyone, After redesigning all of the figures and dragons in my Elves village (see here!), I decided to tackle the buildings next. Here are the first three buildings I finished. 13. The City of Bandari An entry into "A Safe Haven", the Fifth Anniversary Challenge, Category A Also Chapter 7 of the Chronicles of Hesperia The druid Henjin Quilones, Galaria the former princess, and Hamisha the returning exile stepped out of the rowboat and began making their way up the dock and onto the shore. They had to duck around several sharks hanging by their tails on the beach, strung up by the fisherman who lived in the house by the dock. Before them spread the City of Bandari, the jewel of Mwamba. Hamisha, who was leading the way, paused to take it all in, tears beginning to form in the corners of her eyes. She recognized so many faces that she had not seen in hundreds of years, not since the council of this city had voted to send her away. They had seen the Bahari, the master fisherman at work hauling in his nets as they tied up at the dock. Ahead of them was Chuma, smithing away at something at his forge. Winda, the elf scout, was standing up on a balcony overlooking the market, but her attention was fixed on something happening around the corner of the massive building on the hill. "That is the dragon hatchery," Hamisha told the others. "The dragons come here and lay their eggs, and then the elves take the best care of them until they hatch. They are very watchful and observant, too. Inside that building are sand pits kept at the precisely correct temperatures to maintain optimal egg health. The gnomes of this city tend to some sort of subterranean network of pipes that bring hot steam under the sand; there is always vapor of some kind coming out of the holes behind the hatchery." "But up on the side of the building," continued Hamisha, "You can see a sight that is quite rare; an adult male dragon meeting his hatchling for the first time! That is Nyeusimoto, and he is the dragon companion of Lord Mkuu, one of the elf princes of the land." "Watch your step in the market here. The sellers can be very pushy; or at least, the humans of three hundred years ago were. I doubt much has changed in the intervening time." "And whatever you do, do not mess with the aelfcats or the dragon knights, or step in the way of a centaur!" "It is good to be home." More pictures: ___________________________________________________________________________________ ....................................................................................................................................................................... C&C welcome! This one was light on story, heavy on build. For those curious about the figures seen throughout the build, my category B CMF series will shed some light on most of them, besides the aelfcats, who are new. This is by far my largest build, being about 100x100 studs, making it four times the size of my previous record, and I have been working on it since July or August. It was hard getting good shots of it, and I really only had one chance at pictures, as it took an hour or more to move it from my LEGO table to my outdoor photo site and re-build the sections, and then moving it back again resulted in stuff breaking. Fitting all that into the kids' nap time is not easy. Ah well. Someday it is my dream to have a designated photography studio in my house, or at least nice gear (besides just a camera), but that will have to wait until I win the lottery. For now it will be good to take this apart and have bricks to build other things finally.
  14. Introduction; This MOC is my first attempt, specified in landscape, of this size. The Story; "... In a galaxy far far away, somewhere in one of its corners, there is an unknown and isolated planet. In the center of the area where life has been developed, lies its oldest structure. A stone column with unknown carvings. But this is not the only peculiar thing about it. Every year, it lights up on its own and an abrupt hum is emitted. The next moment, something magical is happening! It's like the whole planet is coming alive - a heady aroma is overflowing everywhere, the flowers bloom, animals wake up and everyone enjoys this magical moment. This day has arrived, and all three tribes of the planet have gathered to celebrate the day of life. Everything rolls pleasantly, until a clank and a thunder shakes the calm atmosphere that prevails ... " 1. Honoring the Monolith MOC by George Patelis, on Flickr 2. Crashing Site 3. Crash Crater 7. 15. Hi guys, I know I've posted pictures of this before, but, this time I want to give away the LDD file for free, since I am probably not going to build it - but you can do with it whatever you want. Build, modify, share a pic if you feel like it. My Elves collection was lacking an "earthy" building, and buildings in general, so I decided to create one. However, I've never made serious plans to buy parts and build it. I had another, much larger MOC planned, and buying parts for it was my first priority. Then, I fell in love with the upcoming Elvenstar Tree set, it's exactly what I wanted since I started collecting the theme in 2015. (Side note - that other MOC is much bigger and complicated - 1600 parts - and I am waiting for the final order to arrive... I am crazy excited to finally start building it, It took a month to design and a year to get the parts - I was taking it slowly and waiting for opportunities to make bigger orders & save on shipping) link to imgur album with pictures: https://imgur.com/a/39Pmj link to LDD file: https://we.tl/u6DTLpmIgj
  16. The Nagra Luca An entry into "A Safe Haven", the Fifth Anniversary Challenge, Category C Henjin Quilones, Knight of the Druidi Order of Historica, exile from Hesperia, and his constant companion, Galaria, formerly Princess of Hesperia, now an exile like Henjin, were discussing their journey on the poop deck of the Nagra Luca. The swift ship was making good time as it sailed ever westward, veering only the slightest bit south. It had been some time since they had left the Isle of Tíre, fully stocked with provisions for a journey that could possibly take months. And it had, several months longer than anticipated, in fact; they had been aboard this vessel, now terribly small and cramped, for far too long. The food supply was now rather short, nearly as short as the tempers of the crew as they spent their time walking the same planks and pulling the same ropes each and every day, seeing the same eighteen people day and night. The wolves in the hold below were particularly restless, and one at a time they were brought up to pace on the deck when the weather was fair, just to stretch their legs a bit. Skoll, Henjin's white wolf, had even leaped overboard once and swum with some dolphins for a spell before they could lower the rowboat and fish out the sodden beast from the briny waves. The whole hold had smelled of wet fur for a week afterwards. "We must be getting close, Henjin," said Galaria with a sigh. "We are, I can feel it," replied Henjin. "Sir Kravek's charts were clearly mistaken about some of the nautical distances, as this journey has gone on long enough, but those rocky fingers we passed sticking out of the sea yesterday at noon are supposed to be only a day's sail from shore to this new place. And besides, Hamisha has been saying for a few days that the smell in the air is that of her home, so we must be close." "My lord Henjin, Lady Galaria, the smell is stronger than ever, too!" shouted Hamisha from where she was looking over the maps and charts. "I apologize for interrupting!" "Apology accepted!" Galaria shouted back and shook her head. "She has always been a strange one," she said in a low voice, "not like the rest of my wolfriders. These Mwamban elves must be an odd lot if they are all like her. She is reliable, though." "What are we going to do once we get to Mwamba, though, Galaria? We are a crew of exiles, castaways now from your home, refugees far, far away from my own, with little in the way of a trade or skill to earn our silver and gold. I have some magic, I suppose, and you can hunt, and we are all good with swords, but unless there is some sort of conflict going on that particular skill is not very useful. What are we to do?" "We will figure it out in good time, Henjin," the elf said, resting her head on his shoulder. "We are together, and that is what is important to me. Besides, I was a princess, and I am still an elf, and elves are always welcoming to other elves, with the exception of my father. And we have Hamisha." "Who is now twice exiled, and still will not tell us what she did to be kicked out of Mwamba in the first place, I must point out." "You worry too much, my handsome druid." "Land ho!" came the shout from the lookout up in the rigging. "I see land!" Allicea shouted again. Soon others were climbing the rigging and crowding the gunwales of the fo'c'sle trying to see the shimmering blur on the horizon denoting land. "I see it too!" shouted Celdrian triumphantly. Soon the Nagra Luca was making her way into a harbor, with a large city overlooking the water. Small fishing boats were dotting the waves, and the shouts of people from the shore reached their ears. Henjin, Galaria, and Hamisha were lowered in the rowboat to the water and made their way to one of the docks. Some more pictures: ________________________________________________________________________________ ................................................................................................................................................................ C&C welcome! This was my first attempt as an AFOL at making a ship (besides, of course, the official ship sets that I have acquired over the past few years), and I am rather pleased with the outcome. I went entirely brickbuilt instead of using any of the large hull pieces that I have, since I wanted to try my hand at it and liked the look of it better. The ship is inspired by the lateen-rigged vessels of the past, particularly the caravel of Portugal and the dhow of India/Arabia, as well as a Ninjago ship built by @Garmadon, with some elvish flair of my own.
  17. After building some Elves sets, I decided to put my own little shop together from bulk pieces I purchased secondhand. There's not a lot for the interior, so I'm thinking this is more like a little roadside shop than a full building. Shop is run by Naida and a friendly little fox.
  18. So, I've been pretty miffed about dolls since they came out. I actually was pretty interested in the friends set as a concept as there is a market for it, I just think the dolls were a misstep. Elves, on the otherhand, made dolls even more of a misstep, turning it into a tragedy. For background, I love fantasy, and I love Dungeons & Dragons, and Tolkien, you get the idea. For a while, we've been rather deprived of a proper fantasy setting, and I feel elves could have alleviated to downright fixing this problem. However, I feel that the potential of the theme was diminished when they decided that Dolls and the more 'cutesy' molds would be an integral part of the theme. I don't dislike, in fact I heavily approve of the color decisions, both from a moc perspective, and a theming one to depict a more fantastical and fey fantasy setting. Hell, I'll probably pick up these sets at some point when depicting my D&D groups going through the feywilds! The hair pieces they went with are perfect for stuff like Eldarin, Wood elves, and high elves, even more D&D style gnomes in their younger years (if you haven't picked up on it yet, I'm always hoping Hasbro sells of Wizards of the Coast so that LEGO has an excuse to pick up D&D as a theme!). But going back to the dolls themselves, they lack a great amount of customization (I'm pretty sure the forums have threads on this already), and I feel were a wasted opportunity for more minifigure designs: heads, torsos, legs, accessories, all muddled by introducing the dolls. At least the hair is compatible. I understand that LEGO is trying to vie for a share in the girl's toy market, but I feel that it's not the best way to go about it. For one, they isolate a lot of the LEGO market by using the dolls in the first place, as I know some AFOLs don't like using them as they have very little range of setting or look. Why did LEGO decided to place dolls in one corner of the market when they could have made a really appealing all-rounder simply by using regular minifigures and more interesting molds? Do the dolls have more fans than I give credit for? So, I guess the reason for posting this is, do you think LEGO will come out with a new fantasy set soon? I know Nexo Knights had a really small wave that probably marks its end (didn't keep up with news if it was cancelled or not), and how long is Elves lasting? Are they going to release more Tolkien universe sets with the new Netflix show? Are they ever going to make a new original IP or revive Castle in the near future? I'm not caught up in the current rumor mill or what's been revealed for next year, so I'm wondering if any of this has been addressed recently.
  19. Elves in space! Surely that must be the next step in the evolution of the theme Two models are from the Classic Space range, the third you might recognize from another space theme. My biggest problem now is that I have more ideas than I have bricks in the right colours I don't think my daughter want me to take apart all of her sets.... 20. Does anybody else spend an unreasonably long time trying to cram functional staircases into too small of a space? After finishing off my Goblin Market, I'm busy converting Raganas's Shadow Castle into a Town Hall Modular knock off. I can't wait to put the dragon head tower on top of this, where the clock tower was in the Town Hall. :) My Goal was to replicate ground floor facade of the castle. I ended up making the castle doors double wide. This was an early start that I abandoned, but recently picked up, which lead to the above staircase madness.
  21. On the northern slopes of Pikesteel Mountain, nestled among the trees that blanket its basalt crags and sandy gullies, a complex of ancient structures lay. Seemingly untouched by time, and well hidden from prying eyes, its pure white walls had sheltered generations of Great Elk clansmen when their forest homes were menaced by immeasurable threats, then sat unoccupied in times of peace. But in the wake of the devastation wrought in their lands by the Algus, the elves sought to keep a permanent presence in this haven. The Pikesteel dwarves, for their part, had never been able to find the stronghold on the borders of their domain. Thus, they regarded it as a rumor or legend, and were surprised when the elves requested it, and even more surprised when the elves showed it to them. Some among the dwarves argued that they should claim the fortress for their own, given its situation upon their own domain, yet when scouts were sent to find it without elven guides, the hapless dwarves searched the forest fruitlessly for several weeks before stumbling back through the gates of the mountain, perplexed and looking rather worse for wear. Still, the Pikesteel dwarves were eager to have an ally to shelter their northern flank, and so they ceded the land and even committed to aid the largely nomadic elves with settling into their new, well-fortified home. The expert dwarven craftsmen, guided by elven design sensibilities, seamlessly integrated the elves' improvements with the existing structures. In little time the numbers of the tribe swelled, their kinfolk flocking eagerly to the flourishing citadel, which they called Herfin Telosuren in their tongue, or the Haven of the Great Elk. Travelers pays their respects at an ancient shrine to a god whose name has long since been forgotten to these lands. Admiring the tribe's motif, newly affixed to the Great Tower. The elven chieftain thanks the leader of the dwarven craftsmen for his efforts. The fountain tower looks out over the forested slopes that descend to the great lakes and flat lands to the north.
  22. Hi all, a while ago I was inspired by Panagliamp to create an Elves themed Mech, and I finally got round to it! It can operate autonomously... ...or it can be piloted. The idea is that it was an old goblin mining mech that Farran found and fixed up. Rear view. A bit messy now I look at it - might try and tidy it up... The main frame is sturdy and quite posable, but bits of plant/crystal tend to fall off. A lot. Targeting system deployed. View of the cockpit. It will (probably) be part of my larger Elves WIP. Comments and suggestions welcome, and thanks again to Panagliamp for the inspiration. (Sneak peek at my WIP...)
  23. WindGuardian Leviosah The protector of wind elements to ensure no one harness its power for evil. Speak her name twice quickly and she will vanish the evil act in a vacuum for all to see. Built with only parts from Elves 41193 Aira & the Song of the Wind Dragon -- of which I adore for the little music house on a cloud! My first ever statuette build. Thanks for meeting her!
  24. BrickWarriors just released two new sets of custom accessories to bring your elves and dwarves to life! Elves - Helmet, Armor, Shield, Spear, Sword Dwarves - Helmet, Armor, Hammer Happy holidays everyone!
