A free-build placed in Avalonia, and also part of InnovaLUG's 'Ye Old Merry Battleground' collab, for Brickfair Virginia. This was a really fun build to make, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. I’ll definitely be doing some more Forestmen themed builds in the future. Inspiration for the rockwork goes to Brickvader. The Forestmen's camp is hidden well in one of the many forests in Avalonia, and provides an excellent base of operations for them. They have scouts placed at various locations a little ways from the camp, and a few outside of the forest to keep an eye on the neighboring Lords and Barons of the land. Most recently, they learned of Sir Ruari Leanin leaving for a tax collecting tour, which they took full advantage of... As the fierce struggle against the invading Algus continued, it became obvious that Mitgardia needed to strengthen its defense against the frozen beyond. Thus a new fortress was to be established in the north, to serve as the main bastion against this chilling foe. The construction of such a castle was no small feat, and troops and supplies were rallied from all of Mitgardia. Upon its completion, the great fortress Rekkrfell was manned by the Kylma Katsella. This was built back in April of 2015, and was really too big for the parts and time I had available then. Thus, while there are several sections I really like, I'm not very pleased with the MOC as a whole. There are more pictures available on my website, link. C&C always welcome

The fourth module in my large collab with John. See the others, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. As you might guess, this module will connect with the Paddock module, and the previous gatehouse. All of the buildings have full interiors and working doors. The farmhouse itself was inspired by Derfel Cadarn. Nordheim farms often include a small stone cottage. And the main gatehouse sees plenty of traffic as people travel to and from the city, and merchants deliver their wares. See more pictures on brickbuilt. C&C welcome

The third module of a large collab build that Isaac and I are building for Brickfair, Virginia. First module, second module. We’ll be posting one new module a week. The harbor-master’s house and tower both have full interiors. The tower is only one half of the gatehouse, which is why the arch has nothing on top of it. The harbor-master’s house sits in the corner of the Nordheim Docks, and all incoming traffic is registered there. The winter lull gives the harbor-master plenty of time to catch up on his records, inside his cozy home. I would like to claim UoP credits for: General Building: Interior Design Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt All C&C much appreciated

The second phase of my project to show Arangr Castle through all 4 seasons. See spring here. The landscape changed most, though there are some changes to be found inside the castle as well. Arangr castle is located near the Avalonian border, in Mitgardia. Summer sees the continuing growth of plant and animal life. The warmer weather dries up the spring rains and encourages outdoor activities. More pictures can be found on my website. Thanks for looking

Built for the “Night at the Opera” category of the 2016 MOCAthalon. I’m not familiar with opera in general, but I enjoyed the opera scene from Mission Impossible, Rogue Nation and decided to base my build off of that. It was an interesting challenge to include both the stage and props, as well as some backstage area and support structure. On stage the opera continues smoothly, but danger lurks, hidden in the shadows. Will agent Ethan Hunt be able to prevent the assassination? A video showing the construction of the center pagoda, I'm working on one for the tower: There are lots more pictures on my website. Thanks for looking

An entry into the Forbidden Fortress category of the Colossal Castle Contest. A collab between John (LittleJohn) and I: John built the landscape, while I built the fortress. The build is based off of the story of Beren and Luthien from the Silmarillion. There's a full interior inside, and the drawbridge is functional. Sauron's werewolf form, and Huan were both inspired by Dunedain and Blake Baer. Luthien and Huan, the Hound of Valinar, rescue Beren from Sauron's fortress of Tol-in-Gaurhoth. Sauron takes the form of a werewolf to battle Huan. "Therefore he (Sauron) took upon himself the form of a werewolf, and made himself the mightiest that had yet walked the world; and he came forth to win the passage of the bridge... But no wizardry nor spell, neither fang nor venom, nor devil's art nor beast-strength, could overthrow Huan of Valinor; and he took his foe by the throat and pinned him down" (Tolkien 175). Gates and drawbridge closed: There's a lot to see, so check out additional pictures here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=1687 C&C welcome

Snowy Castle dioramas have long been my favorite subject matter, so this was an extraordinarily fun build. This is my largest irregular base build to date, and features a full interior throughout the whole keep. The rockwork was made using my technic brick design, which you can see a tutorial on, here: Flickr It's my personal favorite of all my builds so far, so I hope you all like it The citizens of Nordheim are quite proud of their large keep, and can often be found feasting inside it's protective walls on cold wintry days. Here's my latest creation, something I've always wanted to do since I was... 8 years old? I'm getting it ready right for Brickworld 2016. With 18 stories, measuring over 6 feet tall and more than 9,000 bricks, this is by far my largest creation. Since it's an absolute hassle to move around, the interior shots will come in later (though you might have seen a few already in my WIP thread). But for now, enjoy the exterior shots. Stay tuned for the interior shots! And this won't be the last skyscraper in the Wasabi District; I'm already planning a second tower adjacent to the One Azure!

Typo in the title, should be Summer, if a mod wants to fix it This was made to serve as the announcement poster for the Summer Joust contest. I took a lot of inspiration from Mark and Steven‘s Grand Joust of Giscellicburg. I tried to achieve a festive atmosphere with lots of bright colors, and large crowds of spectators which was quite a lot of fun. More pictures can be found on brickbuilt. C&C welcome

This is the last of 4 micros I built as prizes for the Guild Creation category of the Summer Joust. These 4 builds were meant to fit the category, so I focused on different aspects of the same civilization: castle, town, farm, and landscape. I chose to name it the Land of Rauor, as Rauor is the Norse word for red and I used red roofs to help tie all the models together. All 4 together: You can see more pictures on brickbuilt Thanks for looking, comments always appreciated

And with every mighty superhero team comes a mighty headquarters! Located in the heart of Manhattan, the tall building that used to be Stark Tower until the Battle of New York stands as a symbol of hope and serves as a base of operations for the Avengers. Here, they can train, strategize, create new tech, or just hang out, and sometimes build evil robots that want to kill all humans. Based on its appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron, this tower is not just a great display piece, but also functions as both a UCS-style playset and a tilt system for the Lego Ideas Maze. It even features an automated ball return mechanism that is designed to work with mazes that have actual holes in them, so that if your ball falls through, you can watch it roll down the tower, floor by floor, and get lifted back up to the top where it is dropped back into the maze. And the best part is that you don't even need a table to play the maze as the tower doubles as a stand for the tilt system! Here it is without any of the fancy graphics. It took 3 days to render that first image, so please excuse me if I use low-quality screenshots for the rest of this post. Some profile shots of the building. Thanks to the hinges, the rounded back wall can be opened like double-doors. The third picture shows the opened backside. As you can see, there are stairs connecting each floor in addition to the ball-elevator, along with the obligatory fire extinguisher on every floor. A shot of the North side of the building. I'm actually not sure if this side is accurate to the movies since I couldn't find any reference pictures of this side of the tower. If it isn't, please leave your barrage of nerdy complaints in the comments down below. A top view of the tower. It was quite a challenge to get the curvature of the platforms at the top right. As mentioned before, the ball return mechanism only works with mazes that have holes for the ball to go through, but of course you can use mazes without holes as well. Here is how it looks with an example maze which is the official maze from the set with a new color scheme and modified to have real holes. Please note that this maze is just for demonstration purposes and not part of the entry. There is a slightly tilted platform below the maze so that if your ball falls through the maze, it will be guided down to a chute through which it rolls down to the hangar below. Once in the hangar, the ball rolls down the channel on the left, around the outside of the landing platform (which features a working turntable), and back towards the rear of the hangar through the channel on the right. The ball then rolls down a ramp that leads to the front of the building where it then zig-zags down the slanted windows. Once it gets to the bottom, the ball enters the building through an open window and rolls down a channel that leads to the elevator chain in the back. When it gets to the chain, the ball gets picked up by two prongs and lifted up to the top by Jarvis (i.e. a Power Functions motor). That much is clear. The only question is: If you put Thor's hammer on the ball elevator and it goes up, is the elevator worthy? Once it gets to the top, the ball is dropped onto the rails that lead out of the building and back into the maze. The cycle is complete and the fun can continue forever and ever until Infinity War. Now let's take a look at the interior of the tower. The front face of the building can be opened to access the inside as shown in the following image: The first floor features a lobby with the Avengers logo painted on the floor, a reception desk, and a waiting area. The second floor is where the Iron Legion is stored and repaired. Three fully posable robot arms with different tools hang from the ceiling and there is a rack of spare parts and other tools in the back. Counting the spare parts, there are two dozen legionaries here. Clearly they haven't been painted yet at this stage of the assembly. The third floor is a laboratory where the Science Bros, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, can do some science together and foolishly create maniacal A.I.s. There are many computers, holograms, and tools, as well as a medical bay in the back. I based the look of the lab on this concept art: On the fourth floor there is a large training room where the Avengers can hone their skills by sparring each other and dodging fire from several turrets. After training, they can relax in the living room on the fifth floor. Here, they can throw a party, have some drinks, and play a friendly game of Who Can Lift Thor's Hammer. The tower also includes living quarters for each of the six Avengers. The sixth floor houses Hulk and Thor's rooms. Hulk's room is expectedly messy and has food strewn about, a Hulk-sized weight lifting bar, a plant, and a TV. Thor's room on the other hand is decked out in Asgardian gold and looks nice and shiny. It features a golden statue with the winged helmet that Thor refuses to wear in the movies for some reason, a large banner, and a small desk with quills where he can write letters to Jane Foster and his friends back in Asgard. The seventh floor is where Steve Rogers and Tony Stark live. Steve's room is filled with old-timey things like wooden furniture and a phonograph, as well as the American flag of course, and a hanger for his shield. And yes, that newspaper on his desk is the Old Times. Tony's room reflects his egotistical playboy lifestyle as it features a large painting of his alter ego, a hi-tech stereo, and a bed large enough for one or more lady friends to spend the night with him. Note the contrast between Steve's giant old phone and Tony's little smartphone on the other side of the wall. Black Widow and Hawkeye's rooms take up the eighth floor. Both feature a simple bed and a wall where they can hang up their weapons. Additionally, Natasha's room also has a closet and a make-up table (a girl's gotta look good while saving the world! ) while Clint's room has a dart board and a desk where he crafts his arrows. You can click the images for higher resolution and you can download the LXF file here: Avengers Tilt System.lxf Feel free to open it in LDD and explore the tower as I have spent a lot of time building it and putting in more details than I probably should have. I hope you like it and look forward to your feedback. Excelsior!

This was a collab build with Isaac, again made for the Ye Old Merry Battleground display at BrickFair Virginia. We took a lot of inspiration from Mark of Falworth’s castles, particularly Falworth Castle. The castle split in half for transport, and the portcullis actually works via the crank at the top. I would like to claim UoP credit for the following: Architecture: SNOTted tile stonework Alqalea Manor is a lovely castle that serves as the home of Lord Alnabil. Here's my build for the third Gatehouse Phase, it is an 'old' build, in that I built it late last year, but I thought it was worth saving it to use as the final gatehouse phase, as I'm really proud of it. This is my first Castle model entirely based off of a real castle: Bodiam Castle in England. I built only the front wall, and it isn’t scaled perfectly, but I think it’s close enough to be quite recognizeable. Also I changed the bridge layout, because of space limitations. See a picture of the real Bodiam castle here: Link There’s no interior this time, though the portcullis and main doors are functional. Fun fact(s): this build weighed over 17 pounds, and used more bley tiles than any of my previous MOCs. Bodiam castle rests on a lake in southern Mitgardia, and is well known for its impressive round towers, and large gatehouse: See more pictures, here. Thanks for looking

Hello fellow Eurobricks members, I've been working on my latest MOC the last few weeks - 'Visit the RIVIERA'. A MOC based around a marina with a southern European influence. There is a small wedding shop, a bell tower, and restaurant on the ground floor with tables outside around the marina where fishermen bring in their catches. A previous European styled MOC - Piazza Maria had bright colour combinations and perfect smooth rendering on the buildings so this was an excuse for me to try my hand at something that looked a little more weathered! Anyway on with the pics, 6 in total: You can also view them on flickr here: https://www.flickr.c...s/52656812@N04/ Any comments/feedback welcomed! Cheers!

This MOC was a commissioned model builld. My client gave me the general layout, and some specific details to include, and then let me go from there. It’s 64×64 plus the two stud border, and is modular, allowing each 32×32 module to be easily removed, and also allowing for easy additions in the future. All the building’s doors/trapdoors are functional, the two cranes work, and the prison cell has a break-away wall. Total piece count, excluding figs and accessories (all the dock cargo) was 5696 parts, making it my largest MOC in the Pirate theme so far. See lots more pictures on my website: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=3813 Feedback welcome

The town of Ve'er needs Heroica's help once again. After what happened about 6 months ago with the lost children, which I believe some of you assisted us with, Hlin decided to quit the law business and go into adventuring, taking Vres Halpo and Laxadaisi Velomptromp with him. They ended up in Miranda, far south of here, across the sea. We remained in contact for a while, but have heard nothing for a troubling amount of time, especially with the rumours about this tower suddenly appearing. We believe the Dark General Haroka and his Inquisitors to be behind this. Our town has unfinished business with him, which is what possessed Hlin to go off in the first place. Since almost losing Vell, he wants to right all the wrongs in the world, a task beyond just one man. But hopefully you will be able to find him and the others. Do you have any questions? We are almost at our first port of call... Oh, and have you selected a leader for your party? I was remiss in doing so yesterday." OOC: Check stats are OK, please. All just taken from the Hero Statistics page so it's not my fault if they are wrong

Here's my entry for Category A of Challenge I. I had a lot of fun putting this together and I think it turned out nicely. I'd like to receive UoP credit for: battle scene [Military Science], and fortifications [Military Science] = 2 credits The Wolfpack has many watchtowers throughout Nocturnus, some in better shape than others... After receiving word that a group of Hand of Corruption soldiers were in the area, Gavin planned a clever trap. Some of his men lured the group to one of their watchtowers. The Hand of Corruption soldiers, seeing their foes fleeing before them gave chase, just as Gavin had hoped they would: Gavin's men quickly ducked into the tower. And the horde following them quickly turned their attention to the fresh bacon lying on the doorstep. After all, their quarry was trapped in the tower, right? Gavin quickly seized his opportunity and knocked the prison cage off its supports and let it fall on the group below: I just got a new webhost so now my website address is brickbuilt.org (not .tk). This should fix the problems some of you were having with the site and make it much more reliable. I'm planning on making some major updates on the site in the near future as well. More pictures of the build can be seen at the new website, here. Any C&C is appreciated

This is my entry for Category B: Defensive Structure. Enjoy! After recruiting the Wolf Tribe to fight for Nocturnus, Rasmus and his Mitgardian friends began the return journey back to Nocturnus's capital, Abyssian. They spent days sneaking through the many swamp lands of Nocturnus, avoiding many Black Spire tratiors. Eleven days into their return journey they came across an abandoned tower situated on a high cliff. Knowing that Black Spire spies and armies used the swamp lands frequently, they began to bring in provisions and fortify the tower. They vowed no Black Spire traitors would pass the tower alive for as long as they defended the area. After 3 weeks, their vows hold true. They have taken down many enemy spies and after Rasmus's latest supply run, they have enough provisions to last six more months in the tower. Though news isn't all good, there are rumors that the enemy is gathering a large group to overtake the tower. Will this be the end for Rasmus and his men?

Batman Incorporated: Leviathan Best. Batman. Comic. Ever So this is Wayne Tower Penthouse as it appears in Batman Incorporated. So i finally finished this Moc after making a few others on the way. I think it turned out ok. My favourite part has to be the Leviathan Helicopter, that will be a keep for the next year or so. I have had this in mind ever since i read Batman Incorporated. What a great conclusion to the run of the decade. So i think i will stop making Batman Mocs for a while and expand to other themes. Based off the events in Batman Incorporated #7
