Thanks for the latest feedback guys! I'm looking into 8297, but I'll consider other suggestions!

Let's get this done by then, Charlie! Looking at the 69 mustang- this vehicle's primary inspiration (clearly)- it has almost no fenders. I've erased them on mine.

Audi RS 5 DTM

This is stunning. Love the underbody panels, use of half pins for Audi sign, etc.! I'd use a wider rear fin, and chrome black rims. But that may be less realistic (; -
I'm working on a connected LXF. You have some major structural dillemas because you used axles instead of pins.

You said in the beginning you wanted to pimp it (; -
Winch would be great! Also, does it have a gearbox? One high-speed gear would set you apart from other Technic builders.

I love the bodywork. Especially for a Technic studless build! Could you please provide the crawler LXF? I'm interested. I want to try rebuilding this, but studfull.

It looks very nice! Quick suggestions: use black parts for the grille. Also, use chrome black rims- maybe Chrome Block City? There's 25 bucks well spent! Also, could you use portal axles? -
Looking good! I love the bodywork. Could you put the whole body in black with red highlights and interior? Also, you could expand the bull bar to protect the lights with simple axles. No need to raise the bodywork- but an 8297 setup on the suspension would be cool. http://www.bricktrucktrial.com/spip.php?article107 portal axles here. You should make both a motorized and non, but capable of, motorization model. (Since some people already have the motors, IR Receivers, etc. Also, could you use portal axles?

Thanks for the feedback everybody! Also, 8297 looks very interesting. Can you (or somebody else) explain exactly how it works? Mechanical adjustment would eliminate the compressor, freeing up a good deal of space!

Hi EB community, I'm pimping out 10220 and I want to use adjustable suspension. The only solution I heard about was pneumatic suspension. I've investigated this, and I still don't understand exactly how it works. I've even asked respectable Technic FOLs like Sariel (http://sariel.pl/) and received derogatory and offensive remarks. Can anyone explain if there's any better way to remotely adjust suspension on an RC Lego Model-Team style 10220 set? Also, if pneumatic's the best answer, how exactly does it work? I would appreciate any constructive feedback. Thanks! In exchange, I've attached what I think is my modded version of 10220, with some pretty mods. (Let me know if it's the original set file.) 10220_volkswagen_t1_camper_van.lxf

Seems like this is really overkill for anything but crawling/ Trialing. Still like it.- 20 replies

Sounds good to me! Shocks on the bumper and fender, medium ones. 9:1 is always good- the Technic gods support you. Does anybody know which wheels, aftermarket, would be best gripping? Have no experience in this area. Spend some time on the body, though- that matters a lot.

This should get rid of my excuse of never using L Motors! (: Obviously this will drive down BL prices, so even IF the motors are overpriced, I still think we should all be glad we can buy them separate from, say, $200 sets.

Very pretty. Not too accurate, but it captures the feel.

Very cool!!!!!!! Where did you get the electronics, as those are 3rd party? I would put a body on this and call it done.

Make one with AWD or RWD, ideally with some sort of mechanism to switch between. It has been done. Also, as far as reaching top speed, I would recomend you look into aftermarket wheels, for maximum grip. And, please, make it usable: there are too many RCs which will never be driven, becuase they have so many expensive parts, bah blah blah. Put some L Motors, ideally on the back, and two M Motors up front (to save on space and weight while not being used). Then, use some 9:1 steering with an M up front. Keep it light. Make two of them, so they can race eachother. Put on a front AND rear bumper, for RC crashes, because they are very fun!!!!!!!! Good luck, keep us posted on WIPs.

How you incased the PF stuff is very creative. I am not at all a train builder, and I really like this.
