  1. That quilt and you're amazing, beautiful design, are a nice pair. I admire some of your building techniques and design you have going in your MOC building. Definitely makes it more "show-worthy" having your MOC underneath that quilt.
  2. Wow...great work incorporating technic pieces in an engine design - Kudos to you!
  3. Updated progress...almost finished with the exterior of the station. I only have the chimney on the back and figure how to connect the back of the curved window ceiling with the back roof... Enjoy...
  4. That's how I build my custom models - explains why it takes me a few years to build a huge custom building or train. I always build it...see how it looks..sit on it for a few days...knock it down...rebuild it...sit on it again...then start on another section. I also buy bricks in stages because of $$$. I keep checking in on this thread to see if you made any more progress - ha-ha.
  5. I'm really loving the color of that red, and how you made the first floor of that building look - The building techniques really captured the architecture of how a pub looks like in a downtown city.
  6. ^^Same for me, as I'm in the sates - it's up and live, and working. I'd be bummed if it went down or gotten rid of. I was saddened when you could no longer order a custom model through LDD.
  7. Looks like a challenging build to match the curves and color scheme with legos; but, you're doing a great job so far matching it to the real thing, for sure. I'd be afraid to run mine in the snow, too. It looks cool though!
  8. Thanks for your opinions...it means a lot to hear what you have to say - it helps in the design process. After a coupe days to soak in each color and hear your opinions.... ....the color of the columns will be...Brown Here are updated pictures of the warehouse...I have two builds going on now - the warehouse and the Train station I am very happy how the colors are working out now, and excitied about my sliding door below More pics...enjoy... Warehouse sliding door OPEN Warehouse Sliding Door CLOSED Interior progress so far - An office upfront with a small closet/storage room next door. Then the big open warehouse.
  9. I need to find a LEGO woman! ha-ha. She has good design techniques...look out...she is going to compete with you.
  10. Very nice - I like it a lot! It has a lot of detail for a small sled. That'll be a great sled to add to the Winter Village for sure! Great first MOC to be posted, and welcome!
  11. I built the foundation today for the warehouse; it'll butt up to the station where you see the opening under the three windows of the second floor - it'll lead into the warehouse via a ticket/baggage window/door (a Lego Minifig will check-in baggage for Passengers) Here are a couple snapshots of the current warehouse against the Train Station... I'm still bouncing back-n-forth between the Grey and Brown. I put grey columns up to see what it looks like... I like how the grey blends in with the Grey Stone/brick work as the foundation. I'm just trying to tie the buildings together in a way where each building is different, but related. I guess you can say the station is a mix between wood and stone...
  12. It came together nicely! Those bridges turned out great. It's a very clean and cool looking layout you have. Do you plan to add more to the layout??
  13. All I can say is WOW! I love the dome...that's my favorite part! The techniques and the color scheme are to my liking for sure. Awesome work!
  14. I second that motion - ha-ha
  15. I really like that bell tower - how you made the dark grey pop out from the light grey to give it some depth and detail...and how it works well with the sloping roofs. I would have gone with different colored windows - but, each to their own We all have our own color schemes we like and incorporate into our designs. Nice work!
  16. Hi, brickers, I broke ground on a warehouse to add onto my train layout and station...and would like to get your opinion on color choices I built the following to compare what side I should g with: The BROWN side OR GREY side. What side should I go with?? The grey side OR the the brown side?? Opinions?? The white will be white signage with black lettering for the town name (sticker soon to be made). I throw a picture of the SNOT going on behind for fun...
  17. When I saw the real photo for your inspiration...you matched it very well!
  18. Very cool looking! I'm sure LEGO town's people are anxious for the first Lego Town game as they wait through the construction phase
  19. Is the link working?? I got a message that this folder is not made public...
  20. I'm always hesitate ordering from Amazon..I ordered the Green Grocer off Amazon (because I waited too long, and it was sold out on the LEGO S@H - afraid it'll never come back). So, I quickly found one for the same price that S2H had it listed...ordered it on Amazon...then the box came to my apartment all smashed and the box all damaged. NEVER ordered from Amazon again...not sure it was the postal service, or the actual company shipping it out mis handling it...
  21. The landscaping around the cabin is very detailed and nicely done - this is probably my favorite surrounding the cabin. Great work!
  22. I bought 2....well, I bought one...and used my VIP points to get the second one almost free...then used more VIP points to motorize the train. So, all-in-all.. I spent $180 all together on the package deal. LOVE VIP points I mainly got the set to compliment my train station and other passenger train - I think it's a good build, nice looking train, and worth getting - especially 2 of them for sure
  23. ...This is when I started to sort, too. It takes time; but, beats these moments. I sometimes yell at my bricks... Oh...the longest I've spent on an actual set would be Tower Bridge - I built it through the entire night from 3pm to about 5am the next morning. Fun build
  24. Yay! ...seems you got another one addicted to LEGO HA-HA!
  25. It grows on me...I like it!
