  1. Brickshelf is up again.
  2. The more pictures can be seen in the first post by clicking the "Spoiler" Show button. I chose yellow to be the color because the British Royal Navy ships used Black and yellow combination often, and I just grew fond of it. I tried different color schemes such as: Dark blue and red, also dark green, but I didn't like the look of them very much. Captain Becker
  3. Added some more pictures, the cannons are custom made actually. Heres a closer pictures about the cannon, I decided it would represent 9 pdr, I tried to fit a smaller muzzle but then I had to put more length to the whole cannon and it just looked silly. Heres the cannon: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Captain-Becker/LDD/HMS-Bull/cannon9pdr.png And the parts the cannon needs, not counting the base itself. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Captain-Becker/LDD/HMS-Bull/cannon9pdr2.png Captain Becker
  4. Hello all again, last time I showed you my first ship in LDD after the "Come back". After that I started on another ship, this time I wanted to make a smaller and try to add some curve into it. I think this is a huge improvement in such a short time that I build this. The ship itself took some time to finish as my wife gave a birth to our son, so the project was in dry dock´s for a while. But now I have finished it, added some small details into it and ready to show it. Comments and Critism are more than welcome. Cutter 10A More Pictures: Captain Becker EDIT: Added more pictures
  5. Looking great! However, how have you anaged to get those "Prints" into your MOC? And those "Shaders" How you anaged to do that aswell? The ship looks great! And all those little details you put into the ship. Captain Becker
  6. LDD 16D Hello all, I`ve been working on a LDD ship a long long time, but they all have just grinded to a halt. Whit LoneBrickersSG`s topic and his first ship in LDD did really give me the spark. (A big thanks to him and the credits) So, I did copy the basic of the hull, and then modified it here and there till I was happy whit the result. The look has been heavily inspired by HMS Ontario which was 22 gun snow, serving in Lake Ontario during American Revolutionary War and did sank in a storm 1780, and was discovered again in 2008. Now, this ship does not have as many guns as HMS Ontario, one reason being that there's just not enough space, and that the bow is just one big piece. But it only lacks 2 cannons less that Ontario did. Im planning on coming back to this ship. Maby, perhaps building it in real bricks some distant future as i am becoming a father this June. So no time for Lego's really. I will try and work on the stern, as its too low and doesn't really please me at this moment, Also the bow will be made again, adding some guns, making Her just a bit longer and bigger perhaps. My goal on making ships is not to look extremely polished and pretty on the outside, but to make sure I would be able to do it in real bricks, and that it would be sturdy, so forgive the rather "Gruesome" look as im not a professional ship builder or anything. Pictures in my Brickshelf http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=554614 Captain Becker PS: I did ask his permission to use his model, but he hasnt read it, or replied. Im sorry if it was not OK for you
  7. I like the sound of that! Captain Becker
  8. Build a separate "Ship interior" On a baseplate or something, and the water.... Well, somethinng blue. I cant think any great ways to do the fludding part, especially when doing a brickfilm. Or eal water whit blue food colors? Captain Becker
  9. The Corrington it is! Ive always been fond of sloops and fast ships, though they are not armed heavily.... Wich I find a bit unfair compared to Oleon as they can have Man of Wars and Ship of the lines... But Im loyal to the Redcoats. (Dont pay ANY attention to my avatar.... ) Will change it eventually. Captain Becker
  10. This at the moment. The game is Naval Action and its currently in closed beta, I was lucky to get my hands on one of them. In the video, im sure most of you do recognize the ship, is the HMS Victory. Captain Becker
  11. Congrazulatios Phred! The mighty cucumber, or was it a pickle!? I always mix those two. Anyways! Welcome back Phred, Its good to have you back! Captain Becker
  12. I think its going great, Though I think you should go back and build the whole deck/Cabin thing again, and try to make it a bit sleeker looking. Usually the captains cabin was on the same level as the gundeck. That is if oure not planning on making a galleon of some sort. Theres a frigate though wich has this kind of cabin at the back. The Berlin wich was build around 1625 or something. Not really sure. Theres great pictures of it if you just google it: Captain Becker
  13. Its been way too long when I have last commented anything here, but these recent news about this years Pirate line... Oh my.... Even though Im a redcoat heart and soul, i still cant wait for the new bluecoats to arrive. As I only havve one 90s offiers torso and its in a terrible, terrible condition. The sets are way too familiar and similiar to the 2009 sets however. Nothing too exiting, but I spy a little cannon on that boat that comes in the Treasure island set. A good option for a swivel guns IMO. Anyway, I fear they dont come available at my local stores..... Witch breaks my heart But I can still hope. All the best: Captain Becker
  14. I have the game and im a big fan of it. The start looks very promising, have you made the Jackdaw in LDD completely yet? And if so, would you consider sharing the LXF file so I could take a closer look at it? Im eager to see the progress in this MOC, and hopefully it wont be long till we get new pictures. Kindly: Captain Becker
  15. I have been away from here for quite a while, reasons being mostly real life things and hurry so I forgot the site so to speak. Id like to know where have these rumours, or news come from that the bluecoats are coming back? Or that we are getting some sort of new POTC/Pirates line? Captain Becker EDIT: Nevermind, now when I looked closely its actually everywhere....
  16. Well now thats a ship I quite like. The colours match perfectly and the small details such like the windows are great, and the custom made monkey as a figurehead is just brilliant! And the whole build just looks like a big floating banana, which suits the theme really well! Captain Becker
  17. I agree whit Mister Phes, it just strikes right back when you look at it. And he put so much detail into it whit just Bionicle, wich I thought would have never been even possible. And clever use of POTC QAR sails as well. Captain Becker
  18. That was AWESOME! The best LEGO movie I have seen in ages! The level of detail that has gone into this is fabolous. Though I dont myself really encourage to paint LEGO but this was an expection to the rule. :) The paper made cavalier sword/saber. (Or that what it looked like to me) Didnt really look so good for me, it was wayyy too big compared to the minifigs IMHO. But really, really well made film either way. Captain Becker
  19. I agree whit Kolonial about the stern windows.... And thats just the stern windows, the rest of this... Of this piece of art is just pure love. Custom made flag an the rigging and the sails are just excellent and really makes this whole thing feel so... Alive, if you know what I mean. Captain Becker
  20. I haven't really been looking into these entries yet so fat but I must say that I am amazed about them so far, especially I like this one. Why? Because how you managed to make that compact little ship nd yet put so much detail into it, and it splits into two sections as well! Need to say anything about the rest? No, its just as awesome as the ship..., So much detail! Great... No, fantastic... No wait thats not it... Err, well anyway, I think you get my point. Captain Becker
  21. I think the black suits much more, otherwise there will bee too much blue IMO in one place. The prototype looks good, I have also thought that the CC should be a bit bigger as its one of my favorite LEGO ships. Captain Becker
  22. Merde! I dont even dare to ask LXF file for this monster.... About the stern desing, I aprove whit that the first one looks much more "Grandeur" that the second one. But the second one dosent looks too bad either. Also it seems to have full interior? Now if youll excusme, I need to find my jaw.... Has anyone seen it? Captain Becker
  23. Whaaa............. We are so toasted right now... Bwahawaa! But seriosly, that model.... And you are going to make Her in real bricks? Oooooh boy! Im thinking on turning my coat right now. Captain Becker
  24. I want this kid to be the worlds leader! Hes awesome! Captain Becker
  25. I agree whit Sebeus, especially the two decker Ship of the line is just pure Not to mention those custom made Bluecoat flags, they are very well put together. Hope to see some of these in real bricks maby someday. Captain Becker
