  1. Great comic and one again: Hilarious story telling! Keep the humor up! Also, I really like the dock youve made here, and especially that brown tricorne whit white paint. It fits so well and is so usable! Fair wind and Calm seas! Yours truly: Captain Charles J. Becker
  2. Welcome to our glorious nation David and Tristan!
  3. Well that escalated far more quickly than I excpected. Great scene Titus! I like the way you made the table, looks well used. Yours Truly: Captain Charles J. Becker
  4. Dear Sir, please accept my most humble welcome to BOBS and to our glorios nation of Oleon! I wish you best of luck in here. Although that dosent seem to be much neccessary considering this build. Well done! Yours truly: Captain Charles J. Becker
  5. This week I finished building the three ships I ordered, I will post pictures when I have cleared some spacce for them to be displayed on. I can honestly say that what suprised me the most was hw complicated it was to follow the instructions at firsst, I did end up whit a couple of left over pieces, mainly because I cant figure out where they should have been. I built the CC First, then the SES and finally RBR. The white pieces from the RBR are heavily disoloured, but I will order some new ones to replace them somepoint. Also the SES is missing the other blue palm piece used as a lamp. I did notify the seller about this already. I dont care really about some flaws, I was having a blast building these sets. And the fact that the printed parts are in pristine condition makes up for that. Captain Becker
  6. Well, if this is true, and the ship does come out and turns out to be worth the price.... I hope my wallet forgives me this.
  7. I know that this might be hard to believe, even I don't but Yesterday I went to my local store to get the new S 16 CMF's, I trapped the full, sealed box, paid and went home. When I looked at the repeict, I couldn't believe my eyes! The whole box had paid only 2.90 euro's, price of only 1 minifigure, not the whole box. Obviously this was the cashier's mistake.
  8. Well, it depends on the price and In what condition the set is. Is it complete? Etc . I got mine for 150 wich I consider an amazing bargain, I paid total of 530 euros for CC, RBR and SES. All in like new condition. The thing that surprised me the most was how big it actually was! And it came whit 4 minifigs that looked like they were made today! So in this case, I feel like I hit the jackpot. Definitely worth buying IMO.
  9. Well that is an coinsidence! Mine arrived yestarday! Caribbean Clipper is already build, and making the SES at the moment. the sets are in pristine condition! you hardly see any wear at them atall, in fact, there is none! The dust is really the only major point that there is, all parts arent really discoloured, apart from two blue 1x4 bricks that are turning lightly greenish, and some yellow parts seem to be yellowing in RBR. But really that about it! The minifigs aare like new! No use wear on them at all! Will post pictures on another topic when Im done whit building
  10. Oh what a fantastic curves and shape she has! Also clever use of the Elves pieces! May she sail long and bring good fortunes to you Sir! Yours truly: Captain Charles J. Becker
  11. Welcome to the BOBS Danny! Sorry that t has took me so long to even welcome you, as I have been busy whit preparing my leve from Granoleon and to sail to the New world! I have been too busy looking for a suitable residence to my self where to settle in and finding a ship to transfer me isnt going smoothly either. But we shall put that aside from now. Excellent introduction and a great looking arch! Im looking forward to your adventures! Yours truly: Captain Charles J. Becker
  12. Well, we have to keep in mind also that the Lego is mainly for kids. Not really adult fans like us. I do however agree whit you a bit. Especially when we got the Brickbeards bounty in 2009 and the Brick Bounty 2016, they were just over prized about a 100 euros or more, when I think it should have been about 80 euros. And they lacked a lot in overall desing, comparing to the older ships, and they were pretty much copies from each other. So yes, in some aspects its true, but then again, Pirates are not the Flagship of lelgo like it may have been in the 80´s or the 90´s. And I dont expect much from the Pirates line anymore, however, I was extremely happy to see some thought and love put into the minifigs prints and the flag of the bluecoats in 2016, So not all hope is lost yet. Captain Becker
  13. That looks great! The new 2016 print really works well whit this, or any given color scheme IMO. Are you planning to make an army from these guys? Captain Becker
  14. Sorry for the late post. Nyt I must say that the warehouse and this looks super nice! May I ask is there @n attic or another floor or just one? As the roof looks quite low.... And secondly, there's probably no interior, I suspect. So your House consist of four walls and a roof, at least for now.... Anyway! Suberb job on the outside at least! Fair winds and calm seas! Your's truly: Captain Charles J. Becker
  15. This game + this song = Pure love!
  16. Great customs! I myself use the Billy club that comes with Chief Wiggum in reddish brown as the belaying pins
  17. Well first of all, this ship does look something like 1680 French second rate ship of the line: L´Ambitieux, even though its yet a bit "crude and harsh on the edges" so to speak. I really like the balcony idea youve implimented and the stern decrations are great addition as well! As of what to improve: Have you had any inspiration from some ships or looked at the pictures of sailing era´s SOL`s? If not, Id suggest you take a look at them. Id space the guns a bit more even. And offset the guns when going from lower deck to another. This actually made the ships sides more sturdier and stronger I belive. Try to get rid of that white on the hull as right now it just looks odd and off place. Im not going to tell you to change the masts as that would be a real pain to do. Keep us updated on the situation! Captain Becker
  18. I finally got around of taking the first photos of my army. First is my Marine company wich has total of 62 minifigs! I also show my Scottish Highlanders, toal of 3, and the Old Guard. 2 Minifigs. Final total of: 67. I apologize if the pictures seem a bit dark. It was a very cloudy when I took the pictures. Anyway, the troops: The Marine Company, Wich includes 50 Marines, they all have white backpacks. 7 Port Soldiers, which are carrying the black muskets. three officers atm, and two Guards also holding black muskets. Marine Company by Captain Becker, on Flickr Next we have the Highlaners: Two Bagpipers and one Regular/infantry .Highlanders by Captain Becker, on Flickr The Old Guard: Officer and regular, Both minifigs are in top notch condition! Old Guard by Captain Becker, on Flickr Last I want to ask a small question: As you an see from the pictures, the marines currently have the new 2009 shako which im not really a fan of, I want to replace those whit one of these three opinion. Please tell me your thoughts what would they have. As my Ground Forces (Coming soon have the tricones already. MarineHats by Captain Becker, on Flickr Next on the line: The Royal Navy! (Coming soon) Thoughs/Ideas/Comments are welcome! Thanks for watching!
  19. Once a red coat, not always a red coat. Got this for singing in Brethren of the Brick Seas for the blue side, Oleon. And my singature once read, once a redcoat, always a redcoat! However im still a redcoat in my heart even if I turned my coat. Yes you may call me a filthy turncoat. Captain Becker
  20. Alright, so I posted the teaser yesterday, and now Ill show what the rest of the room looks like. So this is the door which you saw on the picture, its a broom closet whit nothing inside it. Its supposed to hold the cleaning tools and a ladder inside it, Which it can, theres enough room under the stairs. The floor will remain as it is most likely, although I would like to tile it, but that will be for another day, also the color wont be the same. Im asking if theres anything youd like me to change in this room before I continue onward´ s. Remember, this is only a stairway hall so its not supposed to be too fancy looking, which it already is IMO. Thanks to that newest wallpaper desing wich I absolutly love The rest of the photos an be seen in my Flickr page which I have just made as it seems the Brickshelf wont like me anymore and does seem to have problems any now and then. PS: I am especially proud of the paneling under the wallpapers, I spend most of my time trying to figure it out. Its the 98283 part turned sideways. What do you think about this effect? Office1 by Captain Becker, on Flickr
  21. Whats behind the door? Hello! I have been working the whole day whit this today, its at least the start of my office that I have been planning in my head for so long. Its only the stairway hall or whatever you want to call it but I am extremely happy whit the end result. However, its not done yet. Things I am planning to add/Change in it: The floor obliviously is going to get changed and tiled to give it that nice "parquet" feel. Perhaps a curtain to the window? And some changes and add on´s on the wall. Ill need your feedback on that but ill ask them when ill post more pictures showing what I mean. Captain Becker
  22. Well, I think it could be possible theoretically, how ever I imagine such ship would be quite large, and the second gun deck wouldnt be excatly what you could call a gun deck... Its hard to imagine this as there are no historical evidences or plans, but Id say if youre planning on making one, give it a shot! Only your imagination is your limit and even if it didnt never exist or couldnt have sailed, I dont think that matters much IMHO. As long as theres some imagination to it. Captain Becker.
  23. Magnifique! Another masterpiece from you! Can't say anything more. Well done monsieur! Fair winds and calm seas! Yours truly: Captain Charles J. Becker
