  1. Id say youre lucky that you have even that one. I only got the torso from bricklink and I had to pay it like 12 euros.... Still, it was in excellet condition so, worth it! Captain Becker
  2. Id say I like them all basically, it gives a lot of play variety and I personally like to separate them and make them their own species each. BUT For the sake of the poll, IF I HAD TO choose one. Id say its the printed one. Why? Even if the print will eventually wear down sometimes, I still like how detailed it is compared to the marbled one. However, if I were to use them often and play, I would have to take the marbled one. Simply because its more durable. Captain Becker
  3. As far as I know that´s the only one. However, google some real images and use them as an inspiration. For example, the movie: Hook 1991 is a wonderful source of inspiration, it also shows how the Captain Hook lived. Pretty glamorous if I must say. Captain Becker
  4. Thanks Phred, I will try and upload the rest of my army if I can get my camera working again soon and get better pictures. If not, Ill have to settle for my phone pictures then. I have noticed that there seems to be a real lack of army bands when it comes to army building, as they play a very important role and can be a huge morale boost to the troops. But maby that´s just me nitpicking.... Oh, and I think my small, but humble navy wants to show off their muscles as well, but I think ill make a whole new topic where I summaries all this later on. Captain Becker
  5. Sorry for the bumb. Just a quick teaser of my upcoming army. Sorry for the quality of the picture, the light was not the best and my camera has decided to die, so I had to rely on my phone. Anyway, here´s my army´s band currently, total of eight (8) minifigures. I had a lot of trouble finding a proper torso for my band, as the real uniforms at the 18th century were quite stylish. I spend a lot of time day and night thinking what could be proper, and finally it hit me. The Classic king from CM Series 13 was perfect! So here they are: 2 drummers, two trumpets and 4 fifers. Ill edit this when I get back from work. Captain Becker
  6. I haven´t seen the suggestion yet on this topic, but I clearly remember seeing it somewhere. But I have found that the Friends theme Andrea´s hair (Piece: 93352) does work really well as a wig. As does the Elves characters Emily Jone`s hair piece (Part: 11605) as a captains hair or something. Captain Becker
  7. Looking good so far, but I think the cannons on the lower deck are too close each other. instead of having only 2 studs, try to leave at least 3 or even 4 at least if you use those Official Lego cannons, as it just looks a bit silly to have those giant guns so close each other. And you can remove a couple of guns from there as well and make them chasers to the bow and at the stern of the ship. As what comes to the masts, it looks like they are a bit too far from each other, but that might be just me. My suggestion would be make he main mast (Middle one) taller by adding maby a third if not fourth sail in it. Otherwise keep building. Captain Becker PS; You might want to take a look at the historical frigates and ships of the time for reference. For example: USS Constitution which is 44 gun super frigate.
  8. Not for me atleast. Maybe its just the certain cellphones. And yes, I watched this on my cellphone as well, no problem what so ever. Captain Becker
  9. I´ll have the honor of being the very first subscriber to you Sir! Even though you wont speak in your videos, doesn't make the videos bad. I like your choise of music in these, and everyone have to start at somewhere Am I right, or am I right? Keep them coming! Captain Becker EDIT: Somehow I cant write correctly. Too much rum maby?
  10. I have thought to turn my Queen Anne's Revenge into a Redcoat frigate/Flagship, cause I really like the sails, no skulls and crossbones, but a rather imperial logo whit crossed swords and a crown at the top. The problem is that I don´t know what to do whit the cabin section of it, as its way too high, and the actual cabin is more like a broom closet whit no door. I also kinda hoped to combine the Brick Bounty sails whit the 2009 Brickbeard´s bounty, But the sails wont match at all, and the Brick Bounty´s sails are..... Well, Horrible made of paper and missing printing on the other side. As of Brickbeard´s bounty had at least some kind of fabric material used and even though not printed at the back, was less obvious. Also the colors don´t match together. I think that the best way is either making your own desing for the flagships or then just buy whats already there. Captain Becker
  11. According to bricklink.com it can be found in set: 7410-1 : Jungle river. Theme: Adventurers. Link: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?S=7410-1#T=S&O={} Captain Becker
  12. I cant tell for sure when its off from Alpha or Beta, id suggest you check the forums: forum.game-labs.net Mr.Townsend: I am sure to do that if I get a chance to play the game. After the game went to open release, I haven't been able to play it as my PC or Internet doesn't like me playing it anymore. If I managed to log in to the game. (After several tries and long time waiting), I could only be on like two minutes before it throws me back into the login screen. And if I try to play it and sail, I got choppy motion and lag. So this renders the game unplayable for me. I haven't herd that anyone else has had this problem though so it must be just me. I might give it a few more tries but I am afraid that I cant play it no more, which is a real shame because I really really really love the game. Captain Becker
  13. Waiting to get my ever first Classic Lego Pirate sets in the mail, one never opened and still sealed, and one used once. They are: 6251 Pirate Mini Figures 6248 Volcano Island Though they are small sets, I`m still more than extremely exited to get them. Even though the total sum was 87 Euros..... Please dont judge me. Captain Becker
  14. I think that set number 7075 Captain Redbeard´s Pirate ship that came in the 4+ Juniors theme was able to float if I remember correctly. Also it comes whit a motor in some limited sets. The same pieces also come whit the Harry Potter Drumstrangs ship but it doesn't have the middle section on it. Captain Becker
  15. Purchases are back online people! You can buy the acces to the early Open World Beta/Alpa at: http://www.navalaction.com/purchase/ See you in the high seas mates and fair winds! Captain Becker EDIT: I forgot how yo write..
  16. I am the few lucky one who have acces to the Beta Open World. Though I cant play it very often, I love every inch of it. Just waiting to get to sail the Ships of the Line, especially the 140 gun behemot: Nuestra Señora de la Santísima Trinidad Captain Becker
  17. May we see the LDD version in the mean time? Or prehapsget the LXF file, im itching whit curiosity. Captain Becker
  18. Nay, because the mast are not the problem really, the only problem is the rigging, But the rigging part that I am looking is this: part number 2541, and it only appears on the old classic ships like Black Sea barracuda or the Skull Eye Schooner etc. I have tried to modify it so that it would use the one from the QAR or Brickbeards Bounty, but have yet to come any reasonable solution. Im glad to hear that my humble and basic ship is an inspiration to you. https://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=2541&name=Boat%20Mast%20Rigging%20Long%2027%20x%205&category=%5BBoat%5D#T=S&O={} Captain Becker
  19. Thanks Mr. Phred, the only problem whit it is that the some parts, especially the rigging parts are so hard to find, and they cost too much for my liking´s. Captain Becker
  20. The HMS Bethia, later renamed as HMS Bounty was actually a Bark as far as I know, although very similiar to the brig. It was a discovery vessel for the Great Britain, im not sure if it also was a merchant vessel of some sort at some point. The way to recognize a brig and a frigate is that the frigate have 3 mast usually. Keep that curve and you´ll be just fine I think. I have to wait more progress to be done to give any more feedback as its just too early to say anything about it. Captain Becker
  21. Have you been looking through the Ship MOC index? There´s plenty of inspiration for to start from. Then there´s also Build a Frigate tutorial also if that´s any help. PS: Im also building my first ship. LDD version can be seen here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=556414 EDIT: by the way, what kind of ship are you planning to do, a brig, a frigate or a ship of the line? Captain Becker
  22. Captain Becker
  23. They really look great indeed, however the torso throws me off for one reason: The printing, the chest and the hips. Just dosent seem fit to males IMHO.... But they look great anyways. Captain Becker
  24. I have also planned to do so myself when I can. By all means do, Id like to see this ship in real bricks as well. I might add and change the design yet over time. All im asking is to get credits for the desing, thats all. Captain Becker
