  1. Paper. You physically have it and it is harder to disappear into the ether.
  2. I think brick is fine for furled sails.
  3. I like MF for the ghost figs. Using one's imagination is more future-proof than software which can be fleeting (LEGO® Universe...)
  4. Thanks. I bought the wagon to transport more LEGO® to my LUG events. It'll be my first turbo. Do I have to be more religious with the oil changes? I could 3D print a LEGO® hand if any Sea Rats loses one in performing the duties of a Sea Rat.
  5. Nice. I was going to continue fixing my 1998 blue VW but then my new car has arrived off the boat. It only took 4 months for the factory order. So hard to find a manual transmission wagon in blue these days. Did it run into the bowsprit?
  6. There are also larger train wheel STL files on Thingiverse that you can 3D print yourself. (Assuming they weren't part of that LEGO(R) take-down).
  7. What do you prefer and why?
  8. I buy my LEDs and LED light strips from China through Ebay. It is pretty inexpensive. Besides soldering, I also use wire wrap. Do-It-Yourself LEGO LED Light by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  9. Dr. Pepper. I built a block. Or do something else like dishes, laundry, weed the garden... Day 282 of 365: Creative Concrete Block by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  10. ^That looks like the kid's Play Doh being squished out. I made magical ABS dust. If you sprinkled it on your registered MOC, you could win a trophy at Bricks in the Six AFOL convention. Brick Assembly: Bricks in the Six Trophies by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  11. Perhaps that empty space inside can be fitted with a LEGO hamster wheel or two for the family of overweight hamsters?
  12. Very nice, looks like my local commuter train station except they have yellow lines on the platform.
  13. Thanks for the review! I think it is so that hamster can have a place stay inside.
  14. I had one with small treads working the bunny slope last year. https://youtu.be/69gqsvKHfv0
  15. It might make a good parts pack. We'll have to see what mods LEGO do to it first. On the off-topic, what's everyone's favorite drink?
  16. Welcome back. For a moment there, I thought you were going to use your 3D printer filaments and bend to shape with a heat gun. Aren't cats great?
  17. Welcome aboard, Count Vroskri. Sean Greybeard got excited with the wrong people? You'll fit right in the exciting life of a Sea Rat.
  18. What issues did you run into? My "kit" is geared towards outdoor picnics where I normally run my GBCs. 12V lead acid batteries extension cords level shims for leveling tables on the grass extra balls chopsticks for poking and picking up balls spare modules food, water, umbrella I don't carry my own spare parts since I lug the LUG's play bricks around. In an emergency I can find something in there. I run my most reliable modules and don't have much problems.
  19. I like to have boxes in good condition if I am paying full price.
  20. E units have 3 axle trucks. F units have 2 axle trucks.
  21. Nice. Has a bit of Mexico national railroad (N de M) color scheme to it.
  22. Don't forget to take pics. Most of the weight would be towards the back with the superstructure and counter weights. Lifting the front could be done. They also could flat tow the crane if it's too heavy lift and wheels aren't damaged.
  23. Welcome aboard, mern.
  24. Stocking inventory now for the holiday season makes sense. We have oodles of Christmas book titles being released now for the holiday season.
  25. How about best Mechanical / Replica BW 2020?
