  1. Excellent work and details. Is father-in-law pleased?
  2. Nice parts or MOD potential. Dropping the water tower on the train sounds like fun for the kids.
  3. Lots of good entries. The Inventor - 1 Grimmbeard - 1 Frank Brick Wright - 1 Brig. Brick - 1 Antonio - 1 Good luck everyone.
  4. [pid][/pid]231A Here is my build for the Redcoat community build II.
  5. Yes, I just bought the set in January 2013. I probably should have waited for double VIP point month in March. If you meant January 2014, it is not currently listed as retiring soon on Lego.com.
  6. Before: Sci-Fi Month After: Fabuland Month
  7. Pretty neat. Saw it on Brickshelf before.
  8. My kids got me into Lego. I made my MOCs kid play-survivable. Now my kids are bigger and in their Dark Ages. They unloaded all their Lego on me. Looking back I'd probably should have bought them stuff I would like. Maybe something to consider when shopping for your kids.
  9. [pid][/pid]229D Eklund posted this beautiful scene on Flickr. This is first venture into the Pirate theme. The Escape at Shark Cove "Run!!!" http://www.flickr.co...d-1/8421826748/
  10. BrickLink is your friend if you need some Lego Fabuland stuff. www.bricklink.com So many fabulous contests on EB and so little time.
  11. Aye, I never noticed the tiny fine print in your signature. They're from the battle of wits. I guess I have iocane powder on my face now, doh.
  12. After reviewing the movie again, yes, it was Wesley. OOPS. I stand corrected. Extra rum for you. Way to knock some sense into those bluecoats and infiltrate their HQ. Good work.
  13. Thanks for the review. I would probably MOD the way the katana is displayed.
  14. I think 4 wheel steering too. Steering shaft seems to go fore and aft. Don't most monster trucks at those monster truck shows have 4 wheel steering in order to turn around in the tight stadium to go crush the cars again?
  15. You could have a mechanical linkage to connect the steering mechanism to the truck and use the angle of the trailer in relation to the truck to turn the wheels. I used something like that on my drawbar trailer. In real life they have 5th wheel sensors near the king pin in some trailers and that controlled the hydraulic steering. Some are controlled remotely by the driver in the truck cab. You could do a servo motor and IR receiver on the trailer setup.
  16. Now that's a party. Great comic. Redcoat ladies do not look like that but we're just being polite to our party hosts. Bluecoats don't know manners?
  17. Good comic. Parley?
  18. Are you sure? Have you seen the Princess Bride movie where the guy said he was immuned and wasn't quite so?
  19. Fantastic work. Love all the little details you put into it.
  20. The Lego Group could include a big yellow sticker to fix the battery box issue. We can probably hide behind some yellow panel and/or liftarms in the same way we did with the 8070 supercar. I recall seeing a lot of gripes about that too here.
  21. Looks like someone made a drilling rig out of one too. U300 to U500 specs: http://www2.mercedes...nical_data.html
  22. I brought my makeup brush at a dollar store. It was a little weird but once you've done it, it is not that bad. If anyone asks, just say your girlfriend sent you out shopping for one.
