  1. I like what Haddock51 did with the 60052 cattles. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=100476 These sets are toys designed for children. Toy trains do not typically follow prototypical railroad operations. What is good about LEGO for me is they are easy to MOD to my personal preferences unlike HO scale models which involve way more cutting, drilling, glueing, painting, etc. Parts of my 60052 cattle wagon ended up in a LEGO Friends aquarium car.

  3. I believe he is also a member of Eurobricks, touthomme.
  4. Cool. You can also make them without corn syrup if you don't have corn syrup. Ingredients: 1 pack of Jello (85g) 1 pack of unflavored gelatin (~10g) 1/3 cup of water Put water in small sauce pan. Add gelatin. Add Jello powder. Let mixture sit for about 10 minutes. Heat and stir on medium heat burner until all dissolved. 3-5 minutes. Pour into molds. When they start to gel, you can move molds to fridge to chill without spilling. After solidifying in fridge about 20-30 minutes, remove gummy from molds. You can powder with icing sugar or flour or starch to keep them from sticking to each other. 6. I think their choice is pretty good under the play value category versus display set. Thre is also another thread on this in the embassy forum -> http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=94814&st=775
  7. Nicely done. Did you use the travis bricks inside?
  8. Welcome aboard, Ryn.
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks.com.
  10. That question has been asked a number of times over in the train forum. You can probably find some of those threads. It depends if you like freight train or passenger train. North American style or European. There is also a new European-ish freight train set 60098 coming out. Plently of choices. Personally I found 60052 to be a good choice for MOC parts and play fun.
  11. Thanks for the pictures. I could have used them when I was building my version of the train. I think the landing gear is too big for that size of helicopter. I like how they use the Mixel ball joint for the crane attachments.
  12. Nice work. I think they would lose many ships and cargo from building a port so close to rocks off shore.
  13. Excellent work. Is the glass fireplace on the street part of the easter egg hunt?
  14. Welcome to Eurobricks.
  15. Welcome aboard. Nice little teaser.
  16. Welcome to Eurobricks, Wendy.
  17. I don't think the flex axles came in orange. I had quite a few of those orange ribbed hoses from LEGO Mars Mission sets.
  18. Welcome aboard.
  19. Cool. You could use a fan to help with cooling if necessary. Or maybe hook up a PC liquid cooling system with fancy lights. Do you have train detection?
  20. Maybe there was some Russian influence in the Heavy Haul locomotive which looks a bit like the 311D. 311D were modernized rebuilts of the Soviet Union made M62 locomotives. They kept the frame, bogies and fuel tank of the M62 and replaced everything else.
  21. What were those Russians thinking?
  22. Presenting my LEGO Friends Cargo Train. Move heavy goods around Heartlake with the Friends Cargo Train. This awesome Power Functions motorized train can transport anything your Friends hearts' desire. Your goods will arrive safely and on time with engineer Andrea at the controls. It has an aquarium car transporting fishes the aquarium or lake. The two flat cars carry a skid loader and a helicopter plus a fuel tank. I built this for next month's kids picnic as something for the girls. I had some 7740/7725 influence in the locomotive. There was some inspiration from the 60098 Heavy Haul train. 6 AAA batteries are not included. Friends Cargo Train by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
