Fantastic vignettes. I like the baby room. Good luck with the contest. Dec. 12th is also the winner announcement day for the Best Friends contest. Those LEGO judges are going to be busy.

Are you from Ontario? Good job with the exterior scene and filling the interior. I can't tell if anything is stuck on the brown toilet seat before use.

Nice colour scheme. Are you saying it is a fake steam locomotive powered by a diesel engine and steam domes are actually diesel exhausts?

Good work. Looks really good with light yellow. Goes well with the blue and white uniforms too.

Thanks. Soylent Green probably tastes like chicken after the corporation processed in artifical flavouring to hide that manly taste. You never really know for sure what you're getting if you don't raise, slaughter and cook it yourself. I used these parts to make the window. Thanks. Thanks. Hungry for chicken roasted over an open flame?

Lego 4002016 - Limited Edition Employee Gift
dr_spock replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice little 4 wide(?) trains. I don't think they are too hard to reverse engineer from pictures. Not all employees of LEGO are LEGO fans. They are hired for the skills needed for the particular job which may not include needing to know every set numbers and year release. I don't think it is much different than a company giving employee stock options which can be sold too. -
Ninja's Creed. Really bad movie.

I recall a Hobby Train set from years ago that AFOLs had influence in designing. If it is a couple of months, then it is probably a coincidence. Or that AFOL had LEGO insider information for their MOC.

It is no different than sorting out the MegaBloks from the LEGO in a second hand bulk lot buy that buyers currently have to contend with. It is not like LEPIN is molding the word LEGO on their bricks (as far as I can tell). The problem I can see are Technic parts. Some of them don't have LEGO molded on them. I suppose you can use weight or density to differentiate. There seems to be more people making instructions now than a few years ago. Instructions do make it easier to replicate your MOC for good and bad purposes.

TRAIN TECH Help, General Questions & Talk to the Staff
dr_spock replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
They are both good for beginners. They have all the components and PF parts to run straight out of the box. 60052 has a bit more tracks like switches that 60098 doesn't provide. I bought 60052 for a play set but then it slowly turned into a good parts pack to MOC other trains and things.- 578 replies

Mini-Challenge: The King's Demise - Results Published

Congrats to winners! -
I like violet and lavender, it has that Friendsy feeling. Maybe a bit less pink for blackdeathgr?
-
Looks good. Great job on the exteriors and interiors. PF speed controller and IR receiver are not necessary if you plan to run it at a constant speed around a loop of track.
-
Cool. It would be best to have them work with all LEGO train wheels and popular 3rd party wheels since it would give the most flexibility to the builders. Will you be making a STL file available like those LEGO tracks on Thingieverse or are you selling and promoting your products?
-
Cool. Family project.

42043 C-Model - Mobile Crane
dr_spock replied to M_longer's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That's a really good alternative build. White and bley give it that Liebeherr factory prototype look. -
Just follow the site guidelines and you should be fine. Different people get annoyed with different things. There is no way to please everyone all the time.

General Part Discussion

Cool. It certainly beats having to "kitbash" a 2L into 1L. BTW, there is already thread on part discussions.- 5,506 replies

There are multiple winners each day. It's been the way it works for many previous Xmas raffles. Good luck. Thank you. Glad you like it. I will shovel snow for LEGO and lager. I'd rather win a huge LEGO Fabuland Walrus.
