  1. Hi, As I have a small collection of 5550s and already made a version if of at Classic Town scale (cf this thread), it was normal to me to join this contest with a 5550 version of the camper :) With the original model in background: edit: and here are temporary backup links in case Brickshelf is down at the wrong time when the entries are listed for voting: http://antp.be/temp/lego/40079_p1100025.jpg http://antp.be/temp/lego/40079_p1100026.jpg http://antp.be/temp/lego/40079_p1100027.jpg
  2. For the 2x4 bricks it may have been test batches. But that does not explain the case of the 1x1 rounds then...
  3. It was so unexpected that there was already a whole (short) thread about it ;) http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=86540
  4. There was one at the corner of the street when I was kid. Now it is just a normal garage, but you can imagine that building with the pumps beside the grey van and the (manual) car wash area behind the yellow door: https://maps.google.com/?ll=50.869218,4.328259&spn=0.001709,0.002481&t=h&z=19&layer=c&cbll=50.869248,4.328462&panoid=NCs8KgqkDPA6UgOUnClZVw&cbp=12,359.73,,0,-5.94 Really great MOC
  5. Really nice, I like it :) Waiting for the detail photos
  6. Interesting info :) If it wasn't used in other older sets, how come they had these, though? Were there Maersk builds in Legoland parks?
  7. Site seems down; it was working previously. I should have saved that coupon. Lets hope it will be back before the store opens...
  8. Of course, the store is useful mostly for P-a-B or exclusive sets. For common sets I rather buy from Amazon or at Dreamland.
  9. From Brussels it is also much close than the Lille store. So it will be fine for going "just for the P-a-B" more often than the visits to Lille :) But I'll probably still go from time to time to Lille, when there are sets cheaper in France than in Belgium.
  10. http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=8052-1 I am not sure why I bought it, as I still haven't opened the box. The studless Technic do not really appeal me (except the 41999 because it looks really good). So I'll probably end up reselling that 8052 as the box is still sealed. Not sure if that counts as my least favorite, just the one I regret the most buying (as the other sets, non-Technic, simply ended being parted out for MOC if they were not-so-good to be kept as a whole set)
  11. Indeed, I saw the movie a few days ago, but it is not so bad : http://bricks.inmovi.es/movie_1670345_Now-You-See-Me.html Another recent find, more interesting, in the UK series "New Tricks", a boat made out of a mix of Lego parts from different eras is used to explain how drugs were smuggled on a container ship. The guy in the series says the model took 4 hours and 36 minutes to build. Nice view of minifigs : And also a police car from set http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=4436-1 (one of the minifigs comes from there, as well as a few newer parts on the boat) http://bricks.inmovi.es/movie_362357_New-Tricks.html And in the series "The Neighbors", a brief scene with possibly-Lego on a table: http://bricks.inmovi.es/movie_2182229_The-Neighbors.html
  12. Thanks. Though that I actually meant the whole vehicle, indeed I could buy that part and rebuild the rest of the vehicle easily I guess :) But only one seems for sale currently, in one Belgian BL shop. Nice brewery btw ;)
  13. Me too. I really like the belt conveyor. But I won't buy the whole set just for that, as I couldn't re-use the gigantic parts of the plane for something else. I can still hope to find on Bricklink the conveyor sold separately, as sometimes incomplete sets are sold that way, when some vehicles of a set are more interesting than others... but I guess that there would be more demand for that vehicle than for the plane itself...
  14. Making a 8-wide front (the SNOT part) might also look better actually, I'll try that with a 2x8 dark grey plate instead of the 1x2+2x6.
  15. Indeed that makes more sense than what I did
  16. By the way, I do not know where the black 2x4 plate was supposed to go
  17. Yes, and I prefer these rather than this year's winter village set... I'll have to find something to buy to get these
  18. Here is a list/tutorial that I made while reverse-engineering what I see in the pic: http://imgur.com/a/By7Bv I hope this helps ;)
  19. I think I should start to do that too for the parts that I have in large quantities, that would be a good idea. As it is more useful to have a few of every parts easily accessible than keeping all grouped.
  20. Where are you in Belgium? I am in Brussels and the store in Lille is not that far away: 1h20 by car, and the town there is nice to visit at the same time ;)
  21. Sometimes even inside of a same set: in the Palace Cinema I got tan jumper plates with and without groove.
  22. And sadly the sand-red was part of these :( (some current ones seem less useful than it, though)
  23. Nice work. Only downside is that it looks a little high, maybe you could reduce the height of the trailer by inverting cars on top & bottom ? :D
  24. "Chemins de fer de l'ouest" = "west railroads", that's the name of the company, not the name of the station ;)
  25. I also wondered why it seemed to associate that toy with the car
