  1. I wonder how many of these A-Team replica vans are in Europe, like this one? It's BIG! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=864KbctWasQ
  2. @ Datsun: Welcome to Eurobricks! Nice MOC! Note that the wheel arch parts ARE in LDD -- type in the number 62361 in the LDD Parts Palette's search box (just above where the parts are shown on the left side of the LDD screen). Same thing with the Steering Wheel -- type 30663 in the LDD Parts Palette Search box to find it! You can usually find the proper Part Number in Bricklink, and then "Search" for it in LDD -- it's a lot faster than wading through the LDD Parts Palette trying to find it. Alas, the 11211 "Brick, Modified 1 x 2 with Studs on 1 Side" is indeed not in LDD. Also, what are the Lego Part Numbers stamped on your black wheels and tires? It's hard to determine the proper sizes by the tiny eBay image you provided on MOCPages. The LDD Part 32146 (combination wheel + smooth tire) fits, so maybe the only "missing" part in your LDD model is the 11211 part! The modified LDD .lxf file can be found here via SkyDrive. Thanks for sharing your creation! I see that you've posted it on the Flickr LUGNuts Group -- they will enjoy it!
  3. @ SNIPE: For a template, you could possibly use the 88492c00 "Train, Track Flexible Segment" part (which is known in LDD as Part #64022 FLEX RAIL 4x8). I just played around with Part 64022 in LDD, and by using the Hinge Tool, I could "curve" the flex track on its central hinge.
  4. @ crazy_1993: When you do post your pictures, make sure that they are 800x600 pixels or smaller, otherwise the Eurobricks moderators MAY ask you to resize them. Flickr is really useful in this regard; you can right-click on your Flickr image and select the 800x600 size for your URL hyperlink. Also, I recall that new Eurobricks members (with less than 10 posts total) don't have the ability to post Eurobricks Private Messages (PMs). Once you have 10 posts, you can do that.
  5. Here is the of Paul Boratko's "2013 Crowkillers eBay Charity NFL Pittsburgh Steelers Lego Technic Car" -- read more about it here! It is a "Hometown Pittsburgh Steelers Themed Lego Technic Supercar that I will be auctioning off on Ebay... All Proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish... 6. You should get some 100% Silicone Spray at a local auto parts store, and lubricate the Knob Wheels. Whereas the new Knob Wheels probably only contacted each other at small points, over time the contact points grew larger and now there's more friction.
  7. @ crazy_1993: Each Eurobricks member only has an "allotment" of 150k worth of attachments. If you could post your pictures somewhere else (like Flickr, which is free for the first 200 images), you could copy those URLs into the "Image" button on the Eurobricks "Reply" window menu.
  8. @ Zblj: Maybe you could make a biplane (with two levels of similarly-sized wings). The prop could be in the front (instead of the back) to allow "wind" to flow over the wing surfaces to generate lift.
  9. This cannot be done, because all 10 of the Finalists had to transfer all rights to the model designs to The Lego Group.
  10. @ crazy_1993: Welcome to Eurobricks! I think that if the supporters of your entry would "spread the word" among their social circles, the Highway Enforcer could gain lots of votes!
  11. I just Googled it. I don't know anything more about it....
  12. I like your modification of the Power Functions Battery Box, because many people are seeking
  13. @ Boxerlego: The technical data sheet you seek for the Lego Power Functions XL Motor is on this Powerfunctions.Lego.com webpage (which leads to this PDF Element Spec for the XL Motor).
  14. No, but you could probably "reverse engineer" them from the photos on Nathanael Kuipers' "IndustrialDesigner" Brickshelf gallery pictures:
  15. They are the RC4WD Rok Lox 1.9 Comp Tire ( http://store.rc4wd.c...ires_p_696.html ), which fit onto the standard Lego 44772 wheels.
  16. @ Superkalle: OK, I won't spend any time on it.
  17. Well then, you need to buy one of the 58123bc01 "Electric, Power Functions Receiver Unit with Dk Bluish Gray Bottom and Black V2 Print (Version 2), Complete Assembly" units!
  18. Yes, there was a previous topic that discussed the return-to-center steering. The Power Functions Medium motor clips onto the hockey spring. The two yellow gears shown could be replaced by the Lego Clutch Gear that midengineaddict suggested.
  19. @ S.I: On Philo's Power Functions Motors Power Curves webpage, there is this graph showing how the PF v2 Receiver is an improvement over the v1 Receiver. The v1 PF Receiver could already handle two PF XL motors:
  20. From Philo's webpage, there is this graph of the 5292 Lego RC Motor's performance. At the bottom of that webpage, he has additional curves for TWO coupled motors. He wrote that those coupled "...curves show performance of two parallelled motors on the same receiver output....5292 motor was omitted too since one PF receiver output barely provides enough juice for one motor...."
  21. @ Hopey: I just went to my basement to try out the parts. You're correct -- one does not need this cable:
  22. Yes, but you will also need one of the "Electric, Wire with Brick 2 x 2 x 2/3 Pair" items listed at the bottom of this Bricklink catalog page (you pick the length you want). The 8886 "Power Functions Extension Wire" (first picture below) can be mated onto the old-style 5306b "Electric, Wire with Brick 2 x 2 x 2/3 Pair" (second picture below). One end of the old-style 2x2 electric plate fits onto the RC Motor's red electrified plate, and the other end clips onto the UNDERSIDE of the new PF-style electric plate on the PF Extension Wire, which (in turn) connects to the Power Functions v2 IR Receiver's wire.
  23. @ Superkalle: Actually, F'Alves' 4000001's LDD HTML Building Guide instructions are based on his INTERPRETATION of the model, and not the actual (printed) LEGO Building Instructions. He wrote this in his Flickr photoset: "As soon as I saw this exclusive, I thougth in obtaining a replica. I think it's a nice object for display in any LegoWorkplace. With the help with some pics on the web, I started working with LDD to create some building instructions for it. I think I already got the original set look, although I may be using 1 or 2 incorrect parts. I am already working in the next model....I finally managed to end this task, it wasn't easy because I only had a few pictures and videos available in the web to guide me. In spite of that, I think I achieved a good result, although I ended up with 8 parts less." So, F'Alves' HTML Building Guide (from which I will build the LDD .lxf file) will have 8 parts "missing". I have no idea what parts they are. Is this acceptable to your friend? I have sent messages to Lego Ataku (who MAY have made an LDD .lxf file from F'Alves' HTML Building Guide), to SI-MOCS (who did the Eurobricks review of the 4000001 set, and who has the actual official LEGO printed instruction booklets), and to F'Alves. I'm hoping that they will respond.
