  1. If this comes out in black I can see it being perfect for rollcages and rear wing supports
  2. I'm not even familiar with the irl vehicle and my initial reaction was "woah." I may be borrowing some ideas from your steering wheel ;)
  3. I made mine RHD too, but I only mirrored the wheel and the wipers. I kept the gearbox, levers and rear door the same orientation (just like Mercedes do IRL)
  4. I've just looked and yes the new moulds are all ridiculously priced, except for the new perpendicular link which I've just ordered. I'm amazed and relieved that some parts have reduced in price! These F1 steering arms were £2.17 and are now £0.65 - that's 70% cheaper!
  5. So this is why they made them yellow...
  6. Short video I found that shows underside and the fibre-optics. https://bricksafe.com/files/JTS/misc/_1721134316857.mp4
  7. Now that the review sets are out in the wild has anyone found a parts list for this set yet?
  8. Interestingly I just picked up 8466 and bags 5 6 7 were still factory sealed from 2001, but all of the 16l technic bricks were sticky to touch. I don't know why...
  9. The holy trinity of differentials
  10. Official link for the White version for those wanting to see all pre-release images. https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/koenigsegg-jesko-absolut-white-hypercar-42184
  11. The cost of the suspension arms has always perplexed me. How are they more expensive to produce than per gram than most panels? I also wonder (because the rule of manufacturing is the more you produce the cheaper each unit is) if TLG has ever revised the price of part down when the piece is used in more and more sets.
  12. Ooh nice deduction! I went with the Nexo shield as that's also been in sets in transparent fairly recently but I see it now.
  13. A few observations after trying to rev-eng the NASCAR: The area in front of the front wheels is VERY dense with some crazy geometries; particularly the brackets sandwiching the grille. It'll be interesting to see whether the official set uses a more intuitive technique! The rear half of the car is completely empty. Literally just a shell, to the point where I could totally believe the designer has hidden some sort of play feature in there. Maybe a mechanism to deploy & retract the transparent fins? In the centre of the bonnet I assume is a printed 3x3 round tile in DBG. If so, this means the windshield is attached by the roof and not the base. Can you think of another SC set like this? Why surprised? This is exactly the purpose they were designed for! (I'm very grateful they are coming in red, I already have a WIP that needs them )
