The pub on the rocks is fantastic. Back details are great too and I like it when the back is given as much detail as the front. Good job!

Thank you for the kind and appreciative comments all! Interest on this MOC has become as strong as my other 2 big MOCs. Since this one is only roughly 50% larger than an official modular set, I have uploaded it on CUUSOO! Its size alone makes it a longshot, but what the heck, right? -I estimate this at 3500 pieces, but it's fully tiled. Removing the tiled flooring will likely save a few hundred pieces. -For the most part, it adheres to TLG's modular standard. This MOC however sits 2 plate thickness higher than official sets, but that's just because my layout demands it---one can easily build this straight on a baseplate. -CUUSOO email told me an LDD variant helps with supporters, so I will try to continue and finish up my LDD. Please look for it here soon! Again thanks for the support, and please spread the word! If you guys also have any suggestions on how to maximize Cuusoo support I would appreciate it!

Sorry, I don't have any digital copy of this (the one LDD pic a few posts up is about as far as it got)

'Like the diagonal pieces in the facade. I can see something like this in a downtown-like neighborhood where lot prices are sky high.
-
Thanks all, glad the little trucks are also appreciated some! My next project for this category will be a charter bus. Please watch for it everyone!

Thanks for the appreciative comments, all. Thanks, I try to make my buildings more modern (compared to official TLG sets) and more akin to what one will find in an actual urban/commercial area. For example this particular building is a result of inspirations from actual multi-level Barnes and Noble stores, including the colors.

I haven't started on it in brick, aside from a few cops (and that's because every other CITY minifig is a friggin cop nowadays), though I do plan to branch out from the sane and have these as my police force:

Yes, that too! Thanks, the waterslide decals seem to be the middle-ground between stickers and actual printed bricks. Like I said in the OP it's something I want to tackle again and do better, though it has its limitations (can't print white on clear decals)Appreciate the comments, all!

Thanks all! A restaurant, possibly, or an electronics store, and only 32-wide. I'm going to try to update this thread more often. Thanks! Sure you can

Thanks for looking guys! It's called "Medium Dark Flesh" on Bricklink. Bought a bunch while they were relatively cheap!

Amazing interior... I've been mulling a hardware store for some time now... If I do, I know where to look for inspiration. Good job!

Hello all, Here's my latest addition to the Wasabi District... Barnes & Noble / Starbucks Store! EDIT - I UPLOADED IT ON LEGO CUUSOO - LINK HERE - PLEASE CHECK IT OUT!!! Its size alone makes it a longshot, but what the heck, right? Here's some sample pics... NOTES: -My 3rd largest MOC -Easiest of my big 3 to build, because there aren't much rooms compared to the apartments I've made -Experimented with waterslide decals, IMO I had mixed success. I would like to try it again, though. Only used decals on important pieces; decaling every single "book" is lunacy! -I hope to create a city block with nothing but brand names, with this being its signature store. Here's the rest of the images! Plenty more inside so please take a look. Comments and Suggestions is appreciated. Thanks for looking all!

Plain delivery truck. 6-wide, and like the pickups can seat 2 minifigs in the front row. It's not supposed to be fancy, but it gets the job done delivering shipments of ...books?
-
Haha, perhaps I should, considering it takes me a while to get any MOCs up anyway. The Barnes and Noble/Starbucks combo MOC should look like the unfinished LDD image(right) I posted a couple of posts up, if that helps... Thanks for looking!

BAMP Have any of you tried doing custom stickers using waterslide decals? I started to use them in my upcoming MOC. It kinda screws up on color-heavy decals (like the Barista, see small-ish scratches) but it doesn't look too bad overall. Anyways, here they are... and I should get my MOC ready within a couple of weeks.

Try downloading here It doesn't have the bigger 2012 fenders among other things so it's slightly different, but should be 95% + accurate from my finished model
-
It's getting bigger, busier and better all the time... Any plans for a signature/ landmark piece?
-
Thanks all! The side-by-side configuration is something I will try to do on every single 6+ wide if possible. I'm doing what you described on Cab over trucks Fixed

MOC: TRUCKS OF WASABI DISTRICT Pickup Trucks 1/6/13 Delivery Truck 3/2/13 Charter Bus 4/27/13 Green Public Bus 6/8/13 Will update this top page whenever there's something new! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you all had a good start to the 2013 year. I'm making this a truck thread and dump all my trucks here. For now, I have 2 finished MOC trucks - one of them I didn't even realize that I had no flickr upload on it, though it was shown on Brickworld 2012. Crew Cab: Seats 4 minifigs Extended Cab: Seats 2 minifigs; a 6/7-wide version of the 4200 Mining Truck set Misc Details/shots Here's the flick link for the rest of the pictures. They're rather simple, and large (because with 5-wide cars running around I can't have trucks be smaller than that.) I hope you like these guys... My next WIP is a cargo truck which I may update here.

One major positive for me is the abundance of Dark Tans (all around the building!) That should push a healthy amount of those on Bricklink. I do think it's rather small floor-area wise. Overall, I'm glad about this release, if only because I will only likely buy it for its good and rare MOC-friendly parts (just like my town hall) Green Grocer still proves hard to top as the best modular building.

I like it. ...Although parts are becoming a larger reason why I buy sets nowadays...Gotta love that Tan/Dark Tan combo, and for me a reliable source of brown windows/doors. But as a set, I still think it's a rather unique addition (Lots of people aren't so cool about it not being a large version of the Town Hall cinema?) Maybe the next modular will be a gas station, hah! Just hope it's the usual $150 price.

They're not the same size but they are very close to having the same scale. Town hall buildings and department stores are usually much bigger than houses in real life, after all :P

Wow, very nice! I don't visit Train forum very often so I found this on Facebook... Creator! Quite a surprise!
