  1. Oh cool very nice! I am glad I can inspire some MOCers... Gonna look forward to the interior!
  2. Hey guys, bamp. It looks like the guys at Redbox HQ liked my little Redbox... (it was "silently" sitting in my Brickworld display hehe) http://blog.redbox.com/2012/09/redbox-has-been-legod.html ANd while I bumped with that, I might as well share some previews of my possible next MOCs: previews by wooootles, on Flickr I have the last one in flesh... in brick, rather. It's going to be a bookstore. 5 bonus points to whoever can guess what the middle building will be.
  3. I think it's cool how Jamie's speaking almost directly to MOCers---mentions of having the black lightpost, dark green windows, dark blue tiles, brick-bricks, etc... This set is a guaranteed buy
  4. 2. cimddwc - 1 4. gotoAndLego - 1 21. Domino39 - 1 27. Myko - 1 33. CarsonBrick - 1 I really like a whole lot more though
  5. Everything looks amazing in the categories, and very inventive as well, on a few MOCs! I tell ya, all these put together makes one heck of a town! I noticed a lot of people took advantage of the brick-bricks---looks real nice. Hopefully the prices of those come down some more in the future.
  6. I had the honor of sitting my stuff next to CorneliusMurdock's chapel last month at Brickworld. It's amazing in real life and took a bunch of pictures. I'm a bit crap at roof building so I took more pictures of the roof Good job!
  7. Cool. Your roofing shouldn't be too great of a challenge since you have small buildings (single 6x16s or 6x14 in that green building's enough) Any plans for housing? We have the exact opposite layout mentality so far; I have housing but nearly no stores :P
  8. I saw this in model real-life---very astonishing. Good job and congrats @Brickworld!
  9. Lol missing side mirror round piece on white car But thanks for the images and the support - and nice to meet everyone who came to my display!
  10. Naww, I lost Too many awesome MOCs and epic individual layouts (And they're here on this site too!), that I'm a little surprised I got a nomination Thanks for the comments, guys.
  11. Oy, Congratulations to all, esp. the winners! Lots of kickass MOCs all-around!
  12. BRICKWORLD 2012 UPDATE Brickworld 2012 - Thanks!!! by wooootles, on Flickr My Midtown Condominiums-Avenue Residences tandem has been nominated for Best Individual Layout at Brickworld 2012---thanks to those who nominated and voted! *Oh yeah, layout isn't what I had planned compared to the LDD layout on the frontpage. Not enough table space, hehe
  13. Glad to know that---it seems they are well aware of waves of AFOL around this time. Still, I drive from the south and it wouldn't hurt me to check out Woodfield or Orland Park on the way to Wheeling.
  14. I don't know, it could have been a Domino's >___>; Either way I'd be glad to participate!
  15. No one has alluded to it yet, but during these events, am I right in guessing that the nearby PaB wall (Northbrook) would be obliterated by AFOLs who actually stack their bricks? Do I have to resort to the other three (or four, LEGOLAND-style PaB in Schaumburg too) walls just to be safe? Also, Deep Dish pizza - no one brought that up yet!
  16. Option #3; I don't see curved-down hoods belonging in a 40s style hot-rod

    Brickville

I like everything about this... more notably the 'turning torso' and the greenery
  18. I'm already dreaming about this I'm really ready to go. I've got huge Sterilite bins to store my MOCs; glad that the gas prices are still nosediving. I'm driving there for almost ten hours as well, hoping to get there by Wednesday afternoon (hoping to get some time to tool around in the city before the opening ceremonies ) Do I have any Town/CITY compatriots in here?
  19. If it's really a restaurant, then I want to see how Jamie/Astrid tackles a restaurant interior. It's been many years since the last restaurant Modular was released (Cafe Corner...and oh yeah, that had no interior), so I think a restuarant would be a pretty cool addition. Maybe they can even knock the price back down to 150! lol
  20. 20-wide? Amazing building, bucking the normal standards. Nice front-floor brickwork and interior (The apartment is my favorite)
  21. Thnaks guys, 'appreciate the comments. And full of sinks/potholes They're the ones in my sig
  22. Update time! Here's my latest roadwork on my district; I have to make it more compact since I'm bringing this to Brickworld in 2 1/2 weeks, so it's not quite the same layout as I have on the front page. (The area where the bare green plates are: Future site of the 96x32 Midtown Condo and 64x32 Avenue Residences. Reworking both's sideways at the moment so they're not shown) Roadway (5-27-12 WIP) by wooootles, on Flickr Roadway (5-27-12 WIP) by wooootles, on Flickr Roadway (5-27-12 WIP) by wooootles, on Flickr Left-hand drive/USA style (almost). Any comments or suggestions?
  23. Pretty good CC version. This building really deserves that extra 16x32, and it looks very good that way.
  24. Thanks for the updates! The event info is rolling out more frequently now. Looking forward to BW 2012 in 6 weeks!
  25. Ahhh nice, would be looking forward to whatever people come up with Even with the long deadline I probably won't make it---I'm focusing on the last details of my MOCs for Brickworld, and even without that in the way, I just work too slow!
