Thanks all! I too noticed the some of the shots have that foggy morning look, but I did use natural sunlight (taken in the afternoon) so whatever the effects are, I think it looked good anyway I tried to keep the architectural style modern but not too stylized like Cafe Corner The design was loosely based on some of the upscale condominiums in California.

Thanks for the comments, all! I'm already working on the complementary project for this. With all the tiled floors and tiled walls I think there's about 3000 pieces here on tiles and SNOT headlight bricks alone

B-RM-6C Hello again, This is my big project that I started August of last year. It was photo-ready by January but then I had to move to a new house. This is about 90% complete because some rooms are still bare, though I will update this thread once I get around to finishing it. Featuring cameos from the Grand Tourer, Yellow city car, and the Small SUV. Flickr link: Midtown Condominiums Here are some of the pics! Questions, comments and suggestions? Thanks for looking!

SELF BAMP??? I have a new (minor) revision of the Grand Tourer! A shorter front end and the side mirrors closer to the driver. Check my Flickr page on the latest pictures! Pardon the slight dust and enjoy!

CREATOR is the best town-related line right now, END OF

Hmm, so the two buildings are totally different. The alleged lack of sand blue is disappoint.

Modular Apartment Building. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!
wooootles replied to LegoCityFanatic's topic in LEGO Town
For modular style, it doesn't quite matter what color baseplate you have. In the end, you will cover them off with tiles. -
I think Grand Emporium images surfaced only a month before release, so unless someone 'leaks' I don't think we'll see it for a while
-
It's not a sin to get just one. Be warned - once you get one, you will be madly inspired to build a MOC in such style

Thanks guys. Black on black is the way to go! I ordered 20 tires and 20 black wheels for these (from different Bricklink stores), and I know I saved up a set to put black wheels on my 3661 armored van And I know I have a few trans-blue tiles, just can't find it lol... I just got back from a move, my LEGO is everywhere

I'm excited for this, very very excited. Moreso for the house than the pet shop. When I think of this as a 2-in-1 set, it's even better!
-
I say keep it Paradisa-like. As in, lots of pastel colors. And lots, and lots of female figs. They need to bring the sexy back with those beach sets, swimming pools and that saucy restaurant.

I'm thinking standard 3-storeys, but has two 3-story 16-stud wide houses. Market Street is $90 but only has one 3-storey 16-wide house and the other half is like a yard; they could easily add that second 3-storey building and very well meet the assumed $150 mark.

Cherry in CC -> GG Fire hydrant in GG -> FB handbag in FB -> GE window cleaner in GE -> dude painting a house in Pet shop Am I trying way too hard?
-
MMM thanks for the info... This petshop is yummy especially if it's really 2 modules, maybe like a double-building market street

Thanks for the comments guys. Between the lights on the roof? Condo

Hey y'all A little something I did as a side project when I need to turn away from the monster MOC I've been working on as of late. Just simple MOC cop cars, using 7236 as base, and adding some American cop car-like features, like black (steel?) rims and dark bumpers. Included a pesky unmarked car. And there are a few more pictures on my flickr account: <---- VISIT! :D You can find my other MOCs there as well! (plug) Comments?

Dude... those buildings are Exclusive quality, in the same tier as Town Plan and the Winter Toy Shop/Bakery mold! Put some modern 'adult' colors on those (sand green, tan, dark tan etc) and it wouldn't look like they were from the 80s!
-
Very nice pick of starting with 6754 to make your first MOC in x amount of years (Yes, I used 6754 as well to make my first MOC comeback to LEGO!) And, very nice use of pieces there. Good house that will fit modular styles.
-
He mentioned using pieces for MOC so it becomes a "which has better pieces" issue. If you can get FB cheaper, I would put Fire Brigade on priority. It also has good rare MOC colors: dark red and dark tan in bunches. Tan, in comparison, is almost everywhere these days (not saying tan is a bad color though) Plus this may be the year FB retires.

I hate that LEGO strat to package intersections with straights. I hate it even more that it works While I'm on the subject I do like that long "main street" setup, it seems more 'real.' You should put a bit of greenery on the side of the road or beside the planned river.

Very clean. Very nice. Lots of room for expansion.

10218 Pet Shop? August? Hmm. Getting closer to believing 100% that this pet shop will be the real deal. Would be interesting!

That truck with speedboat is all kinds of groovy. The Marina is still channeling Town Jr. fail.

Cool looking hatch. Nice spin-off from the cop car (which I found to be uniquely cool)
